The Black Experience In The Bible

In its broadest application, the Black religious experience extends well beyond the parameters of the Africans religious experience. “What is the Bible?” The most published book in the world is a historical record of the relationship between the original man and God, and most of all its profound effect on the world. The origin of its people has been shrouded in mystery by the various translations of the Bible. Especially the King James Version. This was due in part to the misinterpretations of those who translated the original from Hebrew to Greek to Latin, English and other languages. But mostly the confusion stem from the Europeans attempts to conceal what is the racial or ethnic identity of the original people in the Bible. This explicit act of blatant racism has existed from the fourth century to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The Europeans have recast the entire Bible into a saga of European people. The result has been a world in which the original man is no longer Black, causing Blacks to be uncomfortable with the images of Black man in the Bible.

AFRICA, THE “GARDEN OF EDEN”

First of all, in the Biblical era, much of “Africa” included the Middle East. The name Africa is a Latin origin and was imposed on the continent by the European explorers. England, Germany or Spain is never mentioned in the Bible. However, Africa is constantly mentioned. The Old Testament mentions Ethiopia over 40 times and Egypt over one hundred. Second, the Bible provides accurate facts to show the original people were of a dominant shade, being Black. The “Garden of Eden” account found in (Genesis 2:8-14) indicates the first two rivers were in Cush. The word Europeans would come to use to describe Blacks was Sithiops or Ethiopia, which literally means “burnt face people.” (Genesis 2:11-12) connects the Pishon River with Havilah, a direct descendent of Cush (Genesis 10-7), the Gihon River is cited in (Genesis 2:13) as the second river in Eden surrounding Cush and Ethiopia or Africa. Finally, although Europeans (Greek and Romans) are noted in recent biblical narratives, the fact is the earliest biblical people by modern western types of racial types would have to be classified as Black. They were of African descendant and possessed African features beyond a shadow of a doubt. Only a part of the garden was called Eden, which translated from Hebrew to mean “pleasure of delight.” In other words, paradise. Since Northeast Africa is the region from which the garden extended, then it is easy to summarize that Africa was the cradle of civilization. “Land of pleasure and delight” was a place of greatness to its creator. In this specific place, Allah placed humankind, his ultimate creation, man, who he made in his image and likeness.

AFRICA, THE BEGINNING

Africa is the origin of man. It’s where the oldest ancestors of man can be found, or what we call fossils. Not in Europe, China or anywhere else for that matter. Only in the Motherland, “Africa.”

MIS-EDUCATION

Throughout the world, the misconception that the characters in the Bible are Caucasians has become normal. Even our own people believe this myth. Nah, Abraham, Moses, the Pharaohs, Queen of Sheba, Mary and Joseph, are all considered, Caucasians. For instance, note the popular pictorial depictions of Christ, Mary, Jesus on the cross, or the Last Supper, etc. All (European) Caucasian images. Therefore, it is our responsibility to educate ourselves to the truth of this matter and also explore the Black presence in the Bible. Extensive references of our people can be found in this so-called Holy book. For instance, (Isaiah 37:9, II Kings 19:9) refer to Tirhaka King of the Ethiopians, an ancient Black pharaoh of the 25th Egyptian dynasty. Mention is also made of men of Ethiopia (Jeremiah 46:9). Blacks in the Hebrew army (II Samuel 18:21-32). Ethiopians depicted as wealthy people (Job 39:15-18; Isaiah 45:14) also (Psalms 68:31; Zephaniah 3:10). Zephaniah, son of Cush, may have been one of the authors of the Old Testament. Christian artists, who have sought to please the ruling power structure or to simply diabolically deceive the masses of people, have painted a white/Caucasian Bible and history has never been the same. The interpreters and Bible scholars of European persuasion have indeed been deceptive within the books of the Bible.

OUT OF THE DUST OF AFRICA

Whether Adam was an individual or a nation of people, it’s clear that there was only one father (God) and one mother (Earth). The Black man and woman are the very salvation of the people in the Bible. For example, Moses was a Black/Asiatic and he married an “Ethiopian” woman according to (Numbers 12:1-10). The Queen of Sheba was a Black African. (I Kings 10:1-10; II Chronicles 9:1-9). The New Testament also mentions a Black Queen “Candace” of the Nubians. The Ethiopia capital of Meroe. (Acts 8:26-40). However, we should keep in mind that we are not just an isolated verse or incidents in the book.

BLACK JESUS

Now you and I know that Jesus was original!! “True?” Mary was African/Asiatic and was probably as dark as a typical nation, Jamaican or a Black man in America today. In reference to Madonna and child, we find (Matthew 2:15; Hosea 11:1) “out of Egypt, I call my son.” Now as you think about Mary and Joseph’s plight with the baby Jesus to escape the wrath (anger) of King Herod, they were in fact fleeing into Egypt. Now “Black people!” How could a “white” Jesus be hidden among a “Black people?” Imagine Europeans hiding in Africa in that day and time!! In present day history, there are hundreds of shrines of the Black Madonna existing in Europe, Russia, and North Africa. Mary, Joseph, or Jesus was neither Greek nor Roman. However, due to the racism of the oppressor, the world has gradually witnessed the rebirth of Jesus. As people like Michelangelo, during the medieval renaissance, the artist of that era made a European Jesus to represent their religion as they came to conspire it. Michelangelo used a male relative for the model of the original Jesus portrait. Some even insist on calling Jesus Semitic, however this term wasn’t used to refer to skin color but to languages (Hebraic Ethiopia). During that same period they also came up with the Middle East as a geographical region. They did this all in an effort to Africanize Africa. Let’s take a look at some biblical chapters. Now we all know that King Solomon, who was the ancestor of Jesus of the David line (Matthew 1:6) and Mary and Joseph were also of the House of David (Luke 1:32-69; Matthew 9:27, 15:22, 20:30-31; Mark 10:47-48) that Christ was to be the offspring of David (II Samuel 7:12; Kings 8:25-26; John 7:42; Isaiah 7:42, 13:14, 9:7; Mark 11:10) the Apostle Paul wrote that Jesus came from “David” (II Timothy 2:8) according to the flesh. (Romans 1:3) Thus we see that contrary to what we were taught and are being taught, there is actual proof to show the identity of biblical figures in the so called Holy book and that their identity is distinctly Black............
