Name: Chris Lee Kattan
Birthdate: October 19, 1970 in Sherman Oaks, Cali.
His mother, Hajni, is Hungarian and a former model. His father, Kip King (Jerome), was the voice of Tailor Smurf and an original Groundling. They divorced when Chris was two.
He spent his youth in California and attended high school in Seattle where he was a school play regular. He then returned to the LA area and joined the improv/sketch comedy group, The Groundlings while studying acting and directing at California State University, Northridge. While in college he appeared in many live theatre productions.
After being "spotted" at The Groundlings by Marci Klein, one of the producers of Saturday Night Live, he went to New York and became a SNL featured player on March 16, 1996. On September 28, 1996 he was promoted to cast member status.
Chris remains a cast member and currently lives in New York and LA
