Colors of Horses - Black
Most horses that are considered black are not really black. The muzzle, flank, and legs - the entire coat - must be black with the exception of white markings such as stars, blazes, stockings, etc. Most black foals are born a mousy grey, and when they lose their "baby fur" they turn black.
