Quick Background...
Riley "Billy" McDaniel grew up in Corpus Christi, TX where he graduated high school at Richard King High School and obtained an Honors Diploma. While at King he was actively involved in Political Science clubs, tennis, shooting teams and involved in various sports.
After high school he moved on to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. At UMHB he met his future wife Elizabeth Wilkinson-McDaniel his freshman year. He was a founding member of the College Republicans club on campus. Billy regularly played badminton with a group of professors and even entered a couple of tournaments. He often found ways to become involved in on campus committees. He kept his tennis game sharp (kind of) and even found time to study the nights before a test. In December 1995 Bill McDaniel graduated with a Bachelors of Science with a major in Sociology and a minor in history. After working in the real world Bill went back after a semester off and obtained his teacher certification. On May 13 he married Elizabeth Wilkinson.
After obtaining a teacher certification Billy moved to Cameron, Texas where he began his teaching career. He taught Texas History and coached Junior Varsity Volleyball, Freshman Basketball and was the head tennis coach for the high school and jr. high. The three years at Cameron were an enjoyable experience where he met many fine individual students and athletes. For more money and to be close to a large city he moved Mabank, Tx. After building a successfull girls varsity softball program it was time to leave coaching. The next move was to Waxahachie, TX and teaching in DeSoto TX.
