Infernalqueen Archfiend

Infernalqueen Archfiend
(Fire/Fiend/4/900/1500)
The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her
Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card is specifically
designated as a target of the effect of a card controlled by your opponent,
when resolving the effect, roll a six-sided die. If the result is 2 or 5,
negate the effect and destroy the opponents card. As long as this card
remains on the field during each Standby Phase increase the ATK of 1
Archfiend monster by 1000 points.

Greg's Review:

This card is great now it is right now the second best in the set IMO, but that is now after the upperdeck tourney ruling come out we have another Bazoo a previously strong card. Ok this is official news by the way, this is going to be changed until the end of your turn. So lets say now you summon him then on your opponents turn he is 1900, then on your next turn 2900 and all you have to do is pay 500 lp. This is the best attacking monster in the game right now. But after the ruling this is just going to be good in the Archfiend Decks. So this is something to play now but be aware of when the ruling comes out that this is not going to be good anymore. So being only a rare get it play it wait for the ruling and then take it out.

4.5/5

when the ruling comes out 2/9

Spirit Reaper's Review:

Ahh, the new Archfiend monsters.  I really don't see a use for them.  They are going to end up like all the other dead subtype monsters out there (can you say toons?).  Although not a terrible effect (you can raise this baby's attack pretty quick), the dice rolling effect sucks and will rarely, if ever, work.  I don't like the whole paying of 500lp during your standby phase either.  If you build an Archfiend deck, this is pretty much a staple, but I don't see any other deck benefiting from it.  For the record, I think Archfiend decks will be a lot like Gravekeeper and Zombie decks, they will get a lot of attention after release, then smolder out.

Casual 2/5

Keith's Review:

This card is almost as overpowered as Bazoo. You summon it, it's your opponent's turn, now it's at 1900. Your turn comes and it's already at 2900. So what if you pay 500. Make sure you don't play it when your low on life. This ruling will soon be changed, so abuse it while you can.

Casual 4.6 So much of a beatstick it's not even funny

Tourney 4.5 Al you have to worry about are suicides the first turn it's summoned and removal.
