Adults stealing and cheating

Hello this is Greg Devine with my 2nd article for Greg's Lair. This one is about adults either making bad trades with kids, or plain old stealing their cards or even cheating. Before I start I want to state I am not saying in any way shape or form all adults steal actually I have only seen 2 steal yu-gi-oh cards in my whole life so I am not saying their are bad and you have to never trade with them or stay away form them. I am simply stating there are some adults just like kids that steal cards and it makes me sick to my stomach.

So two weeks ago I go to Champion card collectors my favorite card place great prices and staff. It was a Saturday and I go every weekend to here. (I go on Sundays also) So I go and I enter and I saw an acquaintance of mine there at the table. So I go over to the table to my x-friend Julian and his loud mouth ignorant friend Rob. So I duel him and then I sign up and enter the tournament. I duel everyone get 2nd which I usually do on Saturdays nothing unusual here. So after the tourney I dueled Julian and I made sure I had all of my cards. So I did and me and Julian duel, I win as usual. And he leaves but his friend stays for like 5 extra minutes. I am looking to make sure I have my cards and what do you know I am missing two out of 40 cards in my deck. I yell for Julian but he is gone so I look through and thank god it is only a magic cylinder and one of my 3 spear dragons. *note I hate magic cylinder but it is the principle of the thing* Any ways I come in next week and accused Julian he says he did not do it. I looked at his deck and the two differences I noticed were a spear dragon and a magic cylinder. So at this point I am furious. So I was like "where did you get those?" he said he traded for them to a kid before I got here *note the store had only been opened for 10 minutes before I got there fast trade huh* So there was one way to prove Julian a lair and I put him to the test.  You see three weeks earlier I was  changing card cases and the left bottom corner of magic cylinder was peeling. So it was badly peeled. And you cannot really tell be looking at it. But form the bottom corner to almost the mid-picture of the cylinder was peeled very distinctly. So I checked and his was too. And as for spear dragon the one stolen was 1st  edition and so was the one he had. And above all I checked before we had our duel and I had the cards and right after I checked and it was gone and I checked the floor and it was surly stolen by Julian. even his big mouth friend Rob said Julian conveniently got spear dragon and magic cylinder in one trade while he went to the Car to get his cards. And no offence Julian did not have much worth trading for those two cards his best card in my opinion being jinzo which he still had. He claimed he traded a creature swap he had *that he had not told me about* for both well heck I would have done that trade. So what I am saying is Julian is a thief.

So this weekend I went on Saturday And Julian and his friend were there. I made it to the finals (only 7 people) And it was me and him (he got like 300$ in new cards) they might have all been stolen but oh well.

So we start and I am winning for sure. He is down to 4000 and I am at like 6800. I play spear and attack his face down. It is immortal of the thunder. What that does is when flipped he gains 3000 when destroyed he loosed 5000. So then he uses barrel behind the door so I take the 5000 and that is a fair move. But then he plays also *my* magic cylinder for the win. So he figured 1900+5000=6900 and I was only at 6800 so I lost but then I said you cannot do that. He says yes I can too and puts his deck in his case and walks away. But here is how I see it. Magic cylinder states:

Negate the attack of one opponents monster and inflict direct damage equal to monsters ATK.

So there for if the attack was negated then immortal of the thunder would not have been destroyed and he could not have combed it with barrel behind the door. I told him we must duel again and he said too late got up got the credit and left. I could have told the owner there at the card store but I did not because all I know is next week I will beat him and fair and square.

All I have to say is this:

It is sad for a 28 year old to cheat and steal cards to beat a 14 year old at a card game. It is very sad so Julian if you ever read this you should feel sad very sad you had to cheat and steal to win SAD.
