BIRTHDAYS: A REFLECTION OF LIFE A TRIBUTE TO MY GOD AND MY PARENTS
August 18, 1964, was the day I was born. Do you notice how everyone celebrates "the one who has been born"? A joy for parents and a life changing experience. But, if we stop to think about it for a minute, we should realize that we had nothing to do with our birth at all. There were 3 involved in our birth, God and our Mom and Dad. I would like to celebrate those who gave me life.
First and foremost, My God: You tell us in Psalm 119:73 "Your hands have made me and fashioned me" And Yet again in Psalm 139:13-16 "For You have formed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them." You are the Life Giver, Your hand is upon all workings of my body. You sustain my every breath-oh that I could Praise You enough!!!!! Mom and Dad: You heeded the call to bring another life into your family of 5, that child was me. Thank You for following your hearts. The past years have yielded many wondrous things for me as well as many hard learned lessons. You raised all of us children with good morals, morals that withstood us in our adult years. Though at times, as all children do, I thought you were picking on me when I was punished. You taught me how to be a good upstanding citizen and to know the difference between right and wrong and how to deal with the consequences of a bad decision. The many paths I went down were of my own choosing and caused you both great fear for me at times, as well as disappointment. Praise God that He brought me through them! I have put you both through a lot in my short life. . The most important thing that you both have done, is tell me about the Lord Jesus Christ, giving me a new life and an eternity with Him. I honor you and love you, as my parents, as well as my brother and sister in Christ Jesus.
Ray and Bonnie Campbell: You are not my biological parents, but you are my parents in every other way that matters. You have been there for me through thick and through thin. You have loved me, lifted me up and held me when I have cried. You have seen me through some of the darkest times of my life and you have never judged or condemned. I want to thank you for always, always being there. Thank You for bringing Glen into this world so that God could send him to be my husband. I love you. ADDITIONAL PAGES |
