Hand Crafted Stringed Instruments(The Irish Maggie Fiddle)

Our Hand Crafted Stringed Instruments. These are pictures of our Irish Maggie Fiddle made for Maggie Drennon of the Celtic rock band six mile bridge from New York.It has a Maple neck almost viola length,to provide extra pressure on the bridge thus more contact to the sound board and greator resonance plus a louder sound.It has a rich mellow tone and is easy to play. The body shape is standard Italian design.The saddle is bone not the usual ebony,to blend in with the Celtic designs on the body.The back drawing is of a wild dog (idea taken from The Book Of Kells).The Knot work is standard Celtic.The four pearl dot's on the heel represent the four salstaces,Spring,Summer,Autumn,Winter. The color is redish brown(Maggie's requested color).

The plan is to make a series of fiddles with a Celtic theme, the next being scottish designed for scottish Celtic music.

TENOR BANJO

This banjo made for Celtic musician.Mapel neck,rosewood fret board,and the bowl from an old banjo mid 1900's.It plays well and sounds right for Celtic having a sinthetic head,so the weather will not effect it.
