*Special Notes:
-There is no handling charge for items that can be mailed in a normal letter-sized envelope with a first-class stamp.
-Shipping charge depends on customer preference. For example, certified mail costs more than regular mail.
-Payment on an invoice is due when the customer receives the invoice; taking into account a reasonable time for mailing.
-No matter how long the job takes, customers are charged for the full first hour.
-All minute amounts after the first hour are determined fractionally (x/60) and then rounded to the nearest decimal cent.
Example: Assume that I have edited an English paper for you and that it took one hour and twelve minutes. For the first hour (60 minutes), it is $25.00. Here’s how to figure out how much the additional 12 minutes is:
Step 1, set out the equivalent fractions:12/60 = x/$25.00
Step 2, multiply the denominator of the first fraction by the numerator of the second and vice versa: 60x = (12 * $25.00); 60x = $300.00
Step 3, divide both sides of the equation by the factor of the unknown variable (x) and solve: $300.00/60 = x; x = $5.00
Step 4, add x to the base hourly fee; this is how much you would pay: $5.00 + $25.00 = $30.00
-For regular clients, a discount arrangement may be available. Such clients are encouraged to contact me for details.
