The New House
I just had the most refreshing 15 minute nap ever! B says I was only asleep for two minutes, but I think he's lying; two minutes wouldn't help that much. I'm going to take advantage of this alertness...I haven't had it all day. I spent the first class this morning like an autistic kid, spazing and distracted, but trying hard to pay attention.
Fresh paint. Check out that floor! Where did all the black go on the ceiling?
Long time no update. This is what the wall color looks like in the basement bedroom. Notice also that the bedside tables/chiffoniers now match!
I must add something to my last comment: I start work next monday, so I have only one more week to get my butt organized.
Blarg, it's the 12
th. I have only two more weeks before we actually move...I need help :( I get distracted by myself. Besides, the boxes bite.
Packing is losing it's fun-ness. I need human companionship. Love me!

This is the look we are going for in the kitchen, except that door handles will be like those in the inset (bottom left corner).

So I've actually gotten a bit of a start on packing. I've boxed all my little decorative things like picture frames, candle holders and music boxes. Away went my text books too. Yesterday I got a start on the rest of the house. Every painting/print in the house was taken down and boxed. (Well almost all, Lindee's stuff in the kitchen isn't gone yet.) I also got a start on the china cabinet. I'm not too sure where that stuff is headed in the new house...seeing as we don't have a china cabinet. I got Grammy Jo's china packed, then ran out of saran wrap half way through mom's blue and white set. I need some of those boxes that wine glasses come in...I don't feel like wraping all the glasses in newspaper.
The liquor store had no boxes for me *pout*. Well, they had a few small ones, enough to get me started I suppose. I must give B daddy's truck so he can get more. Yay for getting help. Now to fill the boxes I've got.
Updates on the goings on of Paula and Alexa in their big move.
