REPORT GAME 6- Uni notch up record innings and 150 run
win
The Uni side started strongly after an impressive result against
the tokes the week before. The Uni side utilized the short
legside boundaries and both openers Davis and Teasdale recorded
50's. After Davis was dismissed Congdon came to the crease
and hit 14 off his first 3 balls and then was caught at long
off. Coates suffered a similar fate then mitchell cam to the
crease and scored a career best 47 before he was dismissed.
Teasdale was then dismissed followed shortly by both Bargh
and Anderson. Then with Barry and Oxnam at the the crease
a large partnership for the 8th wicket followed with oxnam
hitting 50 off around 20 balls. Uni finished up 0n 304/7 off
the allotted 45 overs. High on confidence the Uni side then
dismissed Brooklyn for 140, with impressive bowling displays
from Haughton, Teasdale and Davis. Brooklyn were then sent
back into bat , and were dismissed for 110. With Anderson
taking 3-22 and Congdon 4-53. This week the Uni side take
on Johnsonville at McAllister PARK in a one day fixture.
