Welcome to the MMRH Public Chatroom Information Page
As several of the rpers from the board already know, there has been for some time a series of private chatrooms (a couple of which are mine) that support an MMX based RP Ring that has a somewhat extensive history that has built up over time. To prevent the onset of troubles from Spammers, Cursers, God-moders, and super-newbies - some of the most potent, chatroom killing forces the net has or ever will know - I had made my own chats private and encouraged the owners of the other chats to do the same. The result of this manuver was a stable rp environment that allowed for and ecouraged rpers to get to know and become more familair with eachother's rp tecniques, and create and keep going more interesting and complext plots/senarios.
The private rp ring is still going quite strong, as well as with the invite of the occasional new member that shows promise as a good rper, but there are always temporary dry spells, and sometimes people want a chance to play with other rpers. Therefore, I've decided to open a chatroom for public use.
- Q: Are you letting people join into the RP Ring?
A: No. This chatroom is completely separate from the RP ring in both location and story line. There's no need to worry about if you're following along with everyone else. It's just for fun.
- Q: Can we join into the RP Ring?
A: Not likely, or as I should better say, not immediately. As said before, the Ring has been working for a long time, and has what I'd consider vetran level rpers. To join into the ring, you would either have to be tested by the vets, or be invited by one of them to join the major chatrooms (all pending my approval)
- Q: I've been invited to the private chats! Can I invite someone else?
A: NO! The chats are private, meaning you're required to ask permission to invite someone else, as well as they must follow the same requirements as you being allowed in. The Vets know most of who is a real member of the ring. If you invite someone unauthorized in, or somehow come across the chat and enter without permission, they'll either figure it out and report it to me, or they'll ask me about the person who they've never seen in the chat, and I'll be sure to let them know. Please do not violate this rule, as you will be dealt with quickly and accordingly.
- Q: Okay, I'm not interested in the RP Ring (or not yet), but I want to join that public chat. How do I sign up?
You don't have to. The public chatroom is readily acessable to anyone. If you desire, though, you can join the listing of players for the chatroom so people can learn more about your character or get familiar with you. Other than that, you're free to rp whenever you like.
