What is it with Ally McBeal? Why do I hate her and her show more every time I see it? Why do I keep watching? I started watching it last year, when my TV pulled only three channels and John lived 900 miles away. Over the summer I caught up on the characters a little bit, without committing myself to liking or disliking anyone. This season, I dislike all of them, with a few exceptions. Not worth mentioning. The whole show's not worth mentioning. It's a pile of crap about boring characters who have conflicting traits and lots of bad points. Sensitive chauvinists? Gentle elitists? Lonely bigots? All of them making more in a week than I make in a year? I just have to quote Nell, when asserting that refusing to date a janitor does not make her a snob: "Oh, please" Just like Ally can't get past the bisexual issue with this week's love interest, I can't get past the bullshit of this show. These things are not funny. I should have played Nintendo for an hour.
