OBITUARY -
MARY EVELYN CRONNON, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cronnon; son Jackie Harlan Cronnon; and several brother s and sisters. Survivors include 13 children, Bobby Leon Cronnon, Rossville, Carl Clifford Cronnon, Rising Fawn, Kenneth Cronnon, Cleveland, Jimmy Allan Cronnon, Chickamauga, Ruby Mae, Ellison, Rossville, Bessie Weathers, Tennessee, Eugene Lebron Cronnon, LaFayette, William Vassey Cronnon, Rossville, Sandra Wade, Hixson, Katie Cronnon, Rossville, and Rebecca Cronnon, Rossville; sisters-in-law, Juanita Cronnon, Rossville, and Ruby Mills, Rossville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Swagerty officiating. Interment to follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from 4-9 p.m. and all day Friday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.
