Help for newbie vampires in Clan Nosferatu:
- The first thing that you need to do is Beast Train,
beast is a number that represents how in control a vampire is of their inner
beastly personality. If a vampire is able to control the beast, and get this
number to 0, one is given the ability to be immune to sunlight, so you can
walk around in the sun , and still be in vampire form. Beast training will
take a while, hours, in fact, usually, so do not expect it to be quick. you
will have to cast heal on a mob, many times. Look forward to beast training.
- Regen -- As a vampire, your body does
not naturally regenerate, you must use this power to regenerate your hit points,
mana, and movement points. There is only so much you can regenerate your body,
before you have to drink more blood, and then regenerate some more.
- Fangs, Truesight, Shield these things
are all important.
- Train your stats, quest
your hearts out, and train stances/spells
all of these things are important, and you quickly earn promotion and/or favor
with the clan leader if you are good at training
your character Remember: only the strong survive.
- Do NOT be mean to newbies.
You are hardly at a point to be looking down on someone, if you're not gs
all, gm all stances, fully
quested, etc. As a newbie, help the newbies,
it helps in recruiting future clannies, also.
Help for more experienced clan members:
- Explore the mud. You would be
surprised how many vamps have been around forever, and still don't know their
way around the mud.
- Ask the clan questions first, when you're asking
about clan items, clannies should know where items are located (nosferatu
helmet of knowledge, ringing any bells?) If a clannie does not
know, we have serious problems. (Hint: go back to step
1).
- Respect those in authority. Not only is this in reference to the clan
leader, but also to all immortals.
- Be the best, don't ever settle for second place
How to use a stake:
First, you need to understand that a stake needs to be held in your left hand.
After you get this much, it should be a simple matter to type stake. Remember
to call all afterwards, or you'll lose a stake in that person. Of course, if
the person is a lamer who went link-dead, you won't be able to call all, but
stakes are a dime a dozen, so you can always get another. Note:
you have to mort someone to stake 'em
If you find yourself unable to hold your stake, then there is a problem with
it, go back to the person who made it, and tell them to quest
the wear position on it. Then, get to staking!
Staking players is neither discouraged or encouraged, but do note this: you
get 1000 exp every time you stake someone, so, if someone is especially
easy to kill, it's good quick exp :)
