As of January 1, 2005, I have OFFICIALLY RETIRED.
This is due mainly to the stroke which I suffered in July 2004, which has left me partially disabled, and which has forced me to go onto disability, and to retire earlier than I had expected. On 2009-06-06 I turned 65 & therefore I am officially now a 'Senior Citizen', complete with more Canadian & Alberta pensions & benefits. THEN on 2009-10-20 I suffered a more MORE SERIOUS, was in the hospital for a week, & as I write this up-date I am rehabbing at the Fanning Centre, Neuro Rehab Unit in N.E. Calgary since 10-27, & my prognosis & progress are very good. So I am using some of my free time on their computers to up-date my web-site. In case you are wondering, The Fanning Centre is a fabulous place for getting physical rehab, the staff all friendly & the care is professional & thorough & individualized. I expect to be here re-gaining my strength & capabilities for about another 8 weeks, until about 2010-01-10, or so it seems to the good Doctor who is in charge of things here.
So that is much better than being 6 feet under & pushing daisies in the spring. Right?
