COLLEGE:
As a senior, was an All-Big 10 Third Team pick by league coaches and All-Big 10
Honorable Mention selection by media. He was first in the conference in field
goal percentage and averaged a career-best 22.6 minutes. His 5.5 rpg ranked him
second on the team and 14th in the Big 10 in rebounding. He reached double
figures in scoring 18 times and led Illinois in scoring five times and topped
the team in rebounding 12 times. He scored a career-high-tying 25 points vs.
Penn State on 11-of-12 shooting (.917), the second-best percentage in school
history. He pulled down a career-high 13 boards against Northwestern. Scored 17
points on 5-for-5 shooting vs. Wisconsin in a career-high 30 minutes, and had 10
rebounds against NCAA champion Maryland. He averaged 13.5 points during Big 10
Tournament and was selected to play in NABC All-Star Game during Final Four. As
a junior, he was Illinois’s leading scorer (7.2) and rebounder (4.5 rpg) off the
bench. He averaged 1.13 blocks in conference games, and posted the first
double-double of his career with then-career highs of 16 points and 12 rebounds
against Illinois-Chicago. He later notched 12 points, 12 rebounds and a
career-high five blocks vs. Penn State. He was named to the NCAA Midwest Region
All-Regional Team after scoring 25 points, including 13 free throws, and
grabbing seven boards in a regional final loss to Arizona. He ranked 18th in the
conference in rebounding. As a sophomore, he averaged 12.1 minutes and 3.2
rebounds despite battling a sore back and other injuries for much of the season.
He led the team in rebounding three times: against Iowa (10), Missouri (eight)
and Purdue (five). Scored 12 points (on 5-of-7 shooting) while grabbing eight
boards and notching two steals vs. Michigan. Had a strong game against Duke,
scoring nine points and adding six rebounds. Averaged 14.3 minutes as a
freshman. In the second game of his career, scored 14 points vs. Georgetown and
followed that up the next game with 11 points vs. George Washington. Led the
Illini with nine rebounds in 22 minutes against Wisconsin. Prior to the season,
he represented Great Britain in the World University Games, where he led the
team in scoring with 13.7 ppg.
