Jamie sat there thinking to herself how stupid her and her friend Sue sounded. They had just called the Hanson Hotline and left a message on the machine, leaving their phone numbers. They spent the whole night thinking how cool it would be if they actually did call back. Even though they knew they probably wouldn't.
"Hey, guys let's listen to our messages and reset the tape." Zac said out of boredom. (They did not think that it would be full since they just reset it.) But when they got there it was already full up. As they listened it seemed that almost all the girls were screaming that they got through But there was one message that stood out. One that no girls were screaming, just saying that they like their music, that it would be cool to talk to them, and they left their phone numbers.
"Let's call them!" Zac yelled.
"At midnight?" Taylor reasoned, "Yeah right, Zac, we don't want their parents
to hate us before we even get to talk to them."
"I guess your right. We'll call them tomorrow though, right?" he whined.
Taylor hated it when Zac whined.
"Sure Zac, whatever." Isaac told him as he climbed into bed. Zac looked up and saw that his brothers were all asleep, he laid there and started to think of what they looked like: tall, short, fat, skinny, how old? These questions were in Zac's mind all night until he finally fell asleep.
Zac, of course, was the first out of bed. He jumped up and into the bathroom. After getting a shower he saw his brothers were still sleeping. Not feeling bad about what he was about to do he filled a squirt gun with ice water and sprayed his brothers until they finally got up.
"Zac, you are so dead!" Isaac yelled getting out of bed.
"Let's get him!" Taylor agreed.
"Wait don't kill me! Please! We have to call Jamie and Sue," he told them.
"You're not gonna let that go?" Isaac asked
"No! Never! Zac never forgets anything!" he said trying to do his best
superman impression.
"Let's eat some breakfast. Then we will call them."
"Ok fair enough," Zac added a little disappointed.
"Mom, is this a joke?" Isaac asked as he was looking at the Eggo waffle box. "No, I would never do that, as a joke," she said smiling around the corner. After six people in the kitchen at once they finally finished and started to plan their day. Zac noticed that calling them was not on the list. "Hey! Wait you said we could call them." Zac whined "Ok! go do it" Taylor yelled getting a little impatient. "You guys have to come with me," Zac pleaded.
Riiinnnggg, riiinnnggg, riinngg.
"Jamie I don't think your parents are home," Sue told her.
"The machine will get it...."
"No! What if it is you know who?"
"I seriously doubt it." Jamie replied. "Hello?"
"Jamie, sweetie, this is..... your mom. Just making sure you guys were up."
"Yeah, we're up now." Jamie said sarcastically.
"Ok, well don't spend all day watching TV or that video." (referring to T T &
the MON)
"Ok, we won't mom,"
"Bye"
She hung up, looked over to Sue and said "It wasn't them. What makes you think
that they will call?"
"I don't know, just one of those feelings." Sue said.
"Wait for me!" Zac yelled trying to be the first to the phone.
"Zac chill, for all we know they could be 18." Isaac informed him.
"Wow cool an 18 year old likes me!" he screeched, "Any way should we call
Jamie or Sue first?"
"Let's just get it over with," Taylor begged.
He could not decided which one to call first. Taylor and Isaac were now
getting very impatient. He finally chose to call Sue first. He dialed her
number, but he could not think of what to say.
"Hello?" a woman answered.
Zac quickly threw the phone to Isaac.
"What the...?" Isaac gave him a look like Zac was gonna die.
"Hello?" the woman was getting impatient.
"Hi is Sue there? Isaac asked.
"No, she's over at Jamie's house."
"Oh, ok thanks" Isaac uttered.
"You're welcome."
"Bye" Isaac said.
"So what did she say?" Zac demanded.
"Well she hates you now, wants nothing to do with you, and to never call back.
Sorry, Zac." Isaac said seriously.
"Very funny,"Zac said sarcastically.
"She is over at Jamie's and to call her there."
"I will call !"Zac yelled
"Are you gonna chicken out this time?" Taylor laughed at him.
"No!" he said sarcastically.
He grabbed the phone and looked for the number. He searched for it for about two minutes. "I know I put it here somewhere." "Oh, well I guess you can't call them and we have already reset the message tape," Taylor informed him.
He thought for a minute then said "Give it back!"
He's getting smarter and smarter Sherlock," Taylor teased him.
"Here, Watson, hand this to him," Isaac joked back.
"Give it to me!" Zac yelled.
He finally got the nerve to call her. He picked up the phone and dialed.
"Hello?" Jamie answered.
"Hello, Jamie?"
