I have completed by schooling upto 12th standard in Guwahati, Assam. I passed P.U. (Sc.), equivalent to H.S.S.L.C., from Cotton College, Guwahati. In 1984, I joined Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad, and in 1988, I have completed my graduation in Electronics Engineering.
After completion of my graduation, I joined Regional Computer Center, Chandigarh, as a software professional. In last part of 1989, I left Chandigarh, and joined as a lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering Department of Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat. Jorhat is a place of Upper Assam. In 1995, I became Assistant Professor of the same department.
In between I came to I.I.T., Kharagpur to do my Master Degree and completed M. Tech. in Computer Science and Information Technology in January, 1993. After completion of my M. Tech. degree, I returned to Jorhat Engineering College and continued my service as a faculty over there.
In September 1997, I again came back to I.I.T., Kharagpur and registered as a Research Scholar in Computer Science and Engineering Department.
