Onward! The word Giftie doesn't apply to one individual or the gifted program. Giftie is our own little Mascot you might say, or maybe the "I'm not weird, i'm gifted" keychain is. Your guess.
The School is on the NSU campus. We like to consider ourselves the smartest people there. Actually, all of NSU isn't stupid. The Scholars College is pretty cool. It has really good professors. Its just the drunk idiots who chuck beer bottles at us as we walk to front street that get on my nerves. Or maybe that was a Central Person. (Harmony, can you check to see if Chris Knight has gotten his drivers licesne back yet??)
Structure, the basics, basically. LSMSA is residential-the girls live in Caddo, and the guys live in Prudhome. Both of which are in danger of falling down. I am in Suite E. Room 301. The air conditioner and the light leak, and my Tendell is being used as a doorstop. (For those of you non-gifties, Tendell is the 2,000 page history book that is as boring as hell. I'll include my three favorite uses for Tendel below. I hope i can find the complete list.) There are three rooms in a suite, with one RA (Residential advisor) per hall. The people in my suite are Heather Day, Brooke Donaldson, Katie Tranchina, Nicole Rabalis, and Susannah Johnson. Oh, and me.
Anyway, i guess you'd have to be here to understand a lot of this. To those of you ADVANCErs, its ADVANCE, with more classes, without co-ed dorms, and with a LOT more freedom.
This latest edition is being made right before we go back from Christmas break. I'd like to now dedicate this page to the memory of Heather Cook, Haley Borsky, and Tamara Moore. Also, to the old Nic, the procrastinator! and Jeremy, remember Jeremy, you never lost me as a friend. And you never will.
It is early March, and i am updating this thing for the first time this semester. I really should try to work on this webpage more often, oh wait...I should probably work on that one thats due for computing Resouces first... Anyway! My congratulations go out to the Semi-Finalists for LSMSA 2000 Juniors. Especially to: Kate Perkins, Ashley Flanagan, Katie Nicole Roach (Rahvin to you ADVANCErs), Jayson Lee (Igmo to you e'mail list peoples), Valerie Perdue, Jennifer from New Iberia ('m sorry I forgot your last name) and Megan Mallett. My condolences go out to Kara Tranchina (I love you sweetheart, and you deserved to get in) Micheals little sister, whatever her name is, and Kathryn Harper. All of you coming on the twentieth, and those who came on the sixth will get the fun of seeing me in my "Ambassador costume" (they dress us up and stuff the freaks in a convient closet!)
Just two more classes! Just two more classes and everything will be okay! No more stress and tests, and no more mock ACT's. One whole week of no work, no stress, and peace. Just two more classes, and i won't be so wired. Just two more classes, and i won't be walking around with a smile that says "i've had four tests and twenty minutes of sleep, don't expect an intellegent responce to anything anyone has to say!" Just two more classes, and everything will be allright...just two more classes and...shit! I'm already late for one! Actually, i have plenty of time. Just two more classes...
