Tom Daily a.k.a. Tom Counihan was the touring guitarist for The Smoking Popes on the Destination Failure tour and the singer-songwriter of the Chicago band Not Rebecca. He has recently released his awesome second full length titled The Burlington Northern on Thick Records. Both Mike Felumlee and Eli Caterer played on this new album. His solo debut was titled Happily Deceiving Culture, and also released a seven song EP on Mike Felumlee's record label, Double Zero called The Tragedy of Fan Belts. Both Mike and Eli from the Smoking Popes played on the ep.

Tom Daily's Contribution To Popes Tribute Comp As Well As Others
Tom will be contributing the song "The First Time" to the upcoming Smoking Popes Tribute Compilation, not "Waiting Around" as previously announced.
Mr. Daily will also be contributing the track "Throw It Away" (written by Joe Jackson in 1979) to a benefit compilation CD entitled "Living Tomorrow Today: A Benefit For Ty Cambra". Also featured on this CD are unreleased songs by Alkaline Trio, The Honor System, Sig Transit Gloria, Home Grown, Face To Face, Tuesday(!!) and more. Look for the CD in June on Asian Man Records!
Tom is also releasing a version of "Jet Black" for an upcoming Jawbreaker tribute, and is working on a version of "Something In The Way" for a Nirvana tribute.

New Tom Daily CD
The new Tom Daily CD called "the Burlington Northern" will be coming out on Thick Records on Jan 23rd, 2001. Mike Felumlee and Eli Caterer both played on a couple of songs.
Tom Daily has recorded "Waiting Around" for the Smoking Popes tribute comp. It should be coming out this spring.
