Sharon Green, I have three books of hers. Its the sort of stuff I always dreamed about when I was in 3rd grade, the lovely moon girl, and cute sun prince and everyone lives happily ever after. And shape changers/shifters, in the other two books I have of hers. I don't reccomend it as highly intellectual.

Tara K. Harper, 'bout the same as Sharon Green, except it was the stuff I dreamt about in 4th or 5th grade, telepathic animals who are your life long companions and you have all sorts of adventures. Bet she grew up on Mercades Lackey too.
