The Nineth Angel -
Of Rain
This entity bears the name of the Angel of Rain. Matariel is also reputed to be one of the "rulers of the world" a title commonly attributed to Satan.
Matariel is possibly one of the weakest Angels to attack Tokyo-3, and also the first Angel to be attacked by Units 00, 01 and 02 simultaneously. Matariel has only one means of attack being that of projecting extremely corrosive acid towards it's opponents, however, this form of attack is slow and coupled with the Angel's limited agility makes for a pretty ineffective weapon. Matariel also possesses an extremely weak AT field which is not even capable of standing up to a short volley of fire from an Eva's standard issue rifle. These weaknesses serve only to hamper Matariel in combat and so the Angel relies chronically on its ability to stealthily approach opponents unnoticed, thus gaining the element of surprise giving the Angel the upper hand in combat.

* Destruction of one or two legs isn't enough to cripple Matariel. missing two, moving speed and dodge bonuses are reduced to half, but it can still move. Only after destroying atleast three will it become crippled. The legs are thin and difficult targets to strike, requiring a called shot -2 to strike at long range.
* Destruction of the Main Body will kill the Angel.
SPEED:
WALKING: Matariel can move quickly with it's long legs, able to maintain speeds of up to 135kmph on nearly any terrain
STASTICAL DATA:
HEIGHT: With it's long legs, Matariel can adjust the posistion of it's main body/head, ranging from being 3-70m off the ground
LENGTH: With it's long legs, Matariel can adjust it's length, ranging from anywhere to 10-70m across
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: N/A, Matariel lacks the ability to apply something like lifting force beyond moving itself around.
POWER SYSTEM: S2 ENGINE. Theoretically can supply power for an indefinate ammount of time.
WEAPON SYSTEMS:
1. HAND TO HAND COMBAT: Matariel possess great agility and stealth capabilites, enabling it to usually get the jump on opponenets, however it lacks attack variety.
RESTRAINED KICK: 4d6+10 M.D.2. ACID: The reason Matariel is the Angel of the Rain, it can secret extremely corrosive acid from it's center eye and drop it on its target.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Corrision Attack
RANGE: Technically infinite, it has to hit something sooner or later.
MEGA-DAMAGE: 2d6x10 M.D., then 2d4x10 M.D. during the targets next action, 1d4x10 during Matariels action after that, and afterwards the victim takes 5 M.D. for each of the victims actions for the next 5 minutes (20 melees!). Tends to damage multiple locations/targets.
NOTES ABOUT MATARIEL'S OPERATION
A.T. (ABSOLUTE TERROR) FIELD: The main defensive function on nearly every Angel. Matariel has a weak A.T. Field, able to deflect any attack equal to or under 100 M.D. (any attack over that does full damage). However it is known, that one A.T. Field can be neutralized, by creating another within a 10m distance, which overlaps and obliterates the phase space, rendering both fields inoperable.
BIO-REGENERATION: Matariel can regenerate 1d4x10 M.D. to all locations every hour
ENTERING COMBAT: Matariel is a sneaky bastard, it likes to approach it's targets when they're at they're weakest. It doesn't show up on radar so it's presence can only be confirmed visually. Matariel has a 75% prowl skill and almost always initiates combat with a sneak attack.
