The first angel to be seen in the tv series, he bears the name of "covering of god". A cherub, Sachiel lives in the 1st heaven and presides over the planet Jupiter, though some beleive he is a fallen angel who now serves four subprinces of Hell's hierarchy. After a long 14 years, the first Angel which comes to challenge Humanity has arrived.
Sachiel is the first Angel to assault Tokyo-3 following the destruction of Adam, though it's fifteen years after the second impact before Sachiel attacks the city. Why the long wait is a mystery, though its been rumoured that the Angels laid dormant on Earth until the second impact which some how awoke them from their dormancy. Like the Angels to follow, Sachiel challenges NERV alone, there would appear to be no systematic organisation amongst the Angels.
Sachiel is extremely well suited to the role of assaulting the enemy being equipped to dispatch of both long range and close combat opponents. Sachiel's armament includes that of two ramming devices built into the palm of both hands, capable of delivering an incredible amount of pressure, and some kind of launcher mechanism used for projecting a type of high yield energy projectile with an unprecedented blast radius across long distances. This aside, however, Sachiel's AT field isn't as powerful as those exhibited by many of the other Angels, and the Angel's agility is mediocre at best, though Sachiel's extraordinary strength, ability to skim across surfaces and powers of regeneration more than makes up for this.

* Destruction of the Main Body or Core will kill the Angel. The core is a small and difficult target to strike, requiring a called shot -3 to strike at long range.
** Destroying Sachiel's head(s) will blind him, disable his Eye Laser Cross, but not kill him. If this should happen, he will flail about striking anything within his reach, and will be at -4 to strike, parry, and dodge.
SPEED:
BOOST LEAPING: Sachiel's gills can alter their functions for temporary boosted leaps, enabling the Angel to make leaps 35m high and 70m long.
SWIMMING: Sachiel's gills give him the ability to both survive and move underwater at 75 knots.
WALKING: Sachiel isn't known for being exceptionally agile, so it can only walk at a slow 50kmph.
STATISTICAL DATA:
HEIGHT: 60 meters standing fully upright.
WIDTH: 40m shoulder to shoulder.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Equal to a Robotic P.S. of 100. Can be boosted to 150 by taking 5 seconds (about 2 actions) to expand arms.
POWER SYSTEM: S2 ENGINE. Theoretically can supply power for an indefinate ammount of time.
WEAPON SYSTEMS:
1. HAND TO HAND COMBAT: Sachiel isn't acceptionally agile, however it can perform some basic close-combat attacks.
RESTRAINED PUNCH: 3d6+5 M.D. with P.S. 100, 4d6+10 with P.S. 150
CRUSH W/ HANDS: 4d6+10 M.D. with P.S. 100, 6d6+10 with P.S. 150
2. LASER SPEAR: A mid-ranged piercing laser attack emitted from the Angel's palms. Decent damage, good rate of fire.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Mid-Range Assault
SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-Armour
RANGE: The spear can extend up to 150m.
MEGA-DAMAGE: 1d4x10+20 M.D. per strike
RATE OF FIRE: Equal to Sachiels attacks per melee
PAYLOAD: Effectively unlimited
3. EYE LASER CROSS: This is a skill that Sachiel created during his evolution after he was attacked by an N2 Mine. Excellent range and good at damaging a large area, good damage.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Long Range Assault
SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-Armour
RANGE: The laser can be either emitted from a certain area up to 3km away (must be visible to Sachiel), or emitted in a path of fire from the eyes of the Angel. The Laser Cross covers an area 200m long and 25m wide, and has a second line emitted from it covering an area 50m long and 25m wide.
MEGA-DAMAGE: 3d6x10+20 M.D. per blast to the ENTIRE covered area.
RATE OF FIRE: 4 shots per melee
PAYLOAD: Effectively unlimited
4. SELF-DESTRUCT: Plain and simple, Sachiel detonates his S2 Engine in order to take its opponent down with it.
MEGA-DAMAGE: 1d4x10 M.D. for every 10 M.D.C. left on the Core.
NOTES ABOUT SACHIEL'S OPERATION
A.T. (ABSOLUTE TERROR) FIELD: The main defensive function on nearly every Angel. Sachiel has a moderate A.T. Field, able to deflect any attack equal to or under 200 M.D. (any attack over that does full damage). However it is known, that one A.T. Field can be neutralized, by creating another within a 10m distance, which overlaps and obliterates the phase space, rendering both fields inoperable.
BIO-REGENERATION: Sachiel can regenerate 1d4x10 M.D. to all locations every hour
ENTERING COMBAT: Sachiel is a simple minded Angel, basically it will attack anything that might hinder it, it will not take time to consider the chance, and it will take out the threats in the order of greatest to lowest severity.
SACHIEL'S HAND TO HAND COMBAT BONUSES:
EVOLUTION: Sachiel will sometimes evolve superior scientific functions or attacks, when it is faced with a great hindrance or an attempt at hindrance (like the N2 Mine). Evolving one new function requires 6 hours.
