Sandalphon
The Eighth Angel - Of Embryos
This egg-born creature, which manifest in the heart of a volcano, bears the name "cobrother". Twin brother of the greatest angel of all, he is famous for being one of the tallest angels in the heavens and is a master of heavenly song. Sometimes known as the " angel of tears" he is also said to be the centeral to the process of sexual differentation in a human embryo.
Sandalphon is not all that dissimilar to Gaghiel, though is capable of surviving extremely hot temperatures, what with the Angel's natural habitat being within an active volcano, as opposed to Gaghiel. Sandalphon is also a lot smaller in comparison, however, this is most likely due to the fact that Sandalphon is discovered by NERV during its infancy and so isn't fully developed at the time of the Angel's discovery. Sandalphon relies on its speed and agility to rapidly engage the enemy in close combat, much like Gaghiel, as the Angel possesses no means of which to engage opponents at long range. Sandalphon's only means of attack comes from its razor sharp teeth set into the Angel's powerful jaw, though this is more than enough to inflict extensive damage on any of the Angel's opponents. Sandalphon also possesses an AT field like all the other Angels, though its effectiveness is unknown.

SWIMMING: Sandalphon can travel through lava or water at speeds of up to 80 knots.
LAND TRAVEL: If necessary Sandalphon can travel on land, using it's multiple hands for slow travel, up to about 40kmph.

NOTES ABOUT SANDALPHONS'S OPERATION
A.T. (ABSOLUTE TERROR) FIELD: Sandalphon's A.T. Field has no known effectiveness.
BIO-REGENERATION: Sandalphon can bio-regenerate 1d6x10 M.D. to all locations every hour.
EMBROYNIC STATE: Sandalphon is the easiest Angel to intercept in it's embryo state, since the egg rides the Earth's geothermal lava flows, only hatching when it reaches a certain pressure depth, which usually occurs upon reaching an opening in an active volcano. After reaching appropriate pressure, it'll be approximately 3d8x10 hours before it hatches.
ENTERING COMBAT: Sandalphon doesn't like being captured when he's still just a large embryo. Sandalphon basically beat the crap out of anything that gets to close.
ENVIRONMENTAL SURVIVAL CAPABILITIES: Sandalphon is an EXTREMELY tough Angel, able to open its mouth in lava, and is even strongh enough to withstand any Progressive Weapon. This makes it extremely adaptable to just about ANY environment, even space (theoretically). However as demonstrated by the clever pilot of EVA-02, laws of physics can still apply (Thermal Expansion and Cold Compression). In game terms, Sandalphon is immune to nearly ANY form of damage unless it's outer shell is broken somehow (GM's call). Theoretically, an N2 weapon would be able to damage it.
