As the baby grows it becomes aware of emotional experience and the principles of ownership. It is HIS mother, His toys and His pushchair. When raising the child these things can become a problem as little Jonny wont share his toys with other children, or screams everytime another child goes near his mother. These are the principle of the second House. In this House you will see how the individual struggles with emotional and physical ownership. Are they jealous or possessive? Are they generous? perhaps over generous? What sort of things do they like to own? What do they like to buy with their money? What are their finances like? Are they a saver or a spender? What is there attitude to getting new things?(including people) And what about losing things? (including people) What value to they put on material things, including themselves? This house is also about survival, for money and possessions make survival easier. What is the attitude towards survival? Survival isn't just about staying alive, it can be at school, work or relationships amongst many other things. Is the person willing to work, even fight for their 'survival', or do they roll over and play dead? This raises the question of self worth and what is a person willing to do to get ahead. What talents and skills do they have at their disposal (own) that could help get what they want? Opposite the 2nd House is the 8th. The house that refers to shared feelings and joint finances, as well as other peoples feeling and money, and our attitudes to them. The 8th is also concerned with the huge uncontrollable changes in life, like birth and death, of self and others. The ultimate gain or loss. |
