The 6th house is about personal mundane activities and events. It is about the job (rather than the career). It is the attitude to housework, taking care of others and the daily routine. Everyday attitudes towards health and hygiene can be seen connected with this house. It can also show our attitude to those that serve us, employees as well as servicemen (shop assistance, janitors, plumbers etc.). Is this person tidy? Do they enjoy or hate housework? Are they just clean or perhaps obsessed by hygiene? Perhaps they neglect the housework and their hygiene might leave a lot to be desired! What is their attitude to health? Are they willing to take what comes? Or maybe they are hypochondriacs. Does alternative medicine attract or do they prefer the traditional. If they like alternative medicine, what sort might they be most attracted to? How do they get on with their work colleagues? Do they become close personal friends or is the person only to happy that they can leave them at work at the end of the day? Is it possible that the person might have an affair with a colleague or employee? What about the attitude towards those that give service? Does the person feel uncomfortable with others helping them? Do they see nurses, electricians and cleaners as socially inferior, equal or superior? How would the individual feel about serving others? Will they get a feeling of satisfaction from being useful to others? Or will they resent it, perhaps preferring a more independent lifestyle, or feel that such a position is beneath them. Small domestic animals also come under the 6th House umbrella. The fifth house covers having fun with pets, the 6th house is about taking care of them, the practical day to day realities of pet ownership. How much time does the person devote to a pet? Does the person like small domestic animals? If so, what kind? What sort might they dislike? Opposing this house is the 12th. That house can take service into the realms of martyrdom, however it rarely involves other people. It is the house of self sacrifice, seclusion and fantasies. It is as far away from practical daily routine as it is possible to get. It also refers to large domestic animals... horses, cows, elephants and camels etc.. |
