Shop for goodies at the Museum's souvenir kiosk, situated at the very entrance to the indoor galleries.

Housed in a shack gaily painted on a cream background, the souvenir counter offers an exciting and interesting variety of momentoes, books, audio visual media and interesting odds and ends.

The quality and variety of gifts and novelties offered at the souvenir counter has undergone a lot of change in recent years, and the merchandise on sale is much more attractive, offers more variety,  and is of a better quality as compared to not very long ago.

Although it is beyond the scope of this website to keep track of the latest items on offer and the current prices, the lists that follow   will give you a very broad idea as to what to expect.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Terms of payment is by cash only.

NOTE: It is possible to order books by Air Parcel Post if you are resident abroad. I have done is several times. You will need to send a Demand Draft in Indian Rupees payable in New Delhi, India. Demand Drafts to be drawn in favor of "The Secretary, Railway Board, New Delhi".

HOWEVER, DO NOT RUSH TO SEND IN YOUR DD FOR THE COST OF THE BOOK AS STATED ABOVE. You will need to write to the NRM in advance, and ask for the current price of the book plus postage. (which usually comes almost up to the cost of the book itself. )  Your DD should then be for the value of the book plus postage. For address etc. ref. to the location and general info page.

IN ADDITION, OTHER ITEMS LIKE CALENDARS, POSTERS ETC. ARE ALSO AVAILABLE SEASONALLY.  CHECK WITH THE NRM.
