Hi! My name is Jim. I recently got married to a beautiful woman named Evangeline in the Philippines. When I got back to my home in Missouri, I was shocked, disappointed and outraged to find out that I must have an income of $17,062 a year before Evangeline could receive a visa. The jobs in my area are mostly lower paying. No matter how hard I work, I could never earn enough. I love Evangeline so very much. I hope and pray that someone will open their heart to our problem This new law sets up income limits to restrict immigrants from coming to America. The incomes set are way to harsh. A U.S. citizen who works and pays taxes should not be penalized for not making enough money. This laws separates husbands and wives and is devastating to families. I saved money for two years and sacrificed so I could give Danielle (my daughter) a mother and Evangeline the life she deserves. We just want to be able to get on with our lives. I'm proud to be an American, but ashamed of this law. Please learn the truth about what is going. Write our government and protest and help get this law changed. Let's send a message in the next election to those who supported this law that America is better than this! Our Passionate Plea Please. Is there anyone who is blessed by God and America with abundance and desires to repay and give thanks is some way? Evangeline needs someone to believe in her and give her a chance. She just needs a sponsor. This will cost no money, we are not asking for a sponsor to give money. We just need someone who will stand with her and assure the U.S. government that she will not become a public charge. Only if she should ever receive welfare would a sponsor be out any money. I assure you she will not. She has a good education and is a hard worker. I have a place to live in the country and we will be able to raise a lot of our own food. There are lots of jobs because the nearby lake is a tourist area and the local schools want her to check with them about teachers aide employment. I want to appeal to all Filipino Americans and Catholic Americans to come to her aide and support. Please help us to become a family here in the United States! If you are a U.S. citizen and meet the poverty guidelines (must have at least 125%), you could be a sponsor. If you can't be a joint sponsor, but want to help in some other way, please write to the address below. God bless everyone who can help us in any way. We are going to need legal help and our expenses are going to be more than planned. I hope you will search all our links and learn about what these laws are doing to American families. We can provide any sincere joint sponsors with references for Evangeline and/or answers to any questions. Re ception and Feast We Exchange Vows Pr esenting: Mr. & Mrs. James D. Burri James D. Burri
