Raw silk is the purest form of silk that can be spun into a yarn. The fabric thus produced is a thick one which does not drape too well and crushes easily. Though it may not be the most practical fabric for the modern woman, raw silk is in demand for its timeless appeal. Featured here is a beige sari in raw silk with a Zari border and a braided, naturally tassled Pallu, worn with a matching two-colour raw silk blouse inlaid with gold braids. The Pallu is draped over the shoulders in a trendy, unconventional fashion. Back to Preview Next sari |
