Last night teams got the chance to play the first games of the season and try players out. The most eagerly awaited match was barcalona v real madrid. The two start the season as joint favoirates to win the European league 1. The game lived up to its expectation and produced a 4 goal thriller with both sides ending equal with the score at 2-2. Although there could have been more goals with barcalona squandering chance after chance throughout the game. Iker Casillas had a great game and made 13-14 great saves. Despite being the more dominent side barca found themselves behind at half time even after leading early through a steven gerrard goal on his debut for the club. But manager toby golds obviosly said somthing right in the changing rooms because his team came out and scored an equalizer only five minutes after the break. Although there is a blow for madrid manager sean pickup as star player zidane limped off only 31minutes into the game. A scan has shown hes expected to be out for the first two games off the new season.
