Basic Step


No flips, whirls, or cartwheels. Simple linear footwork and/or simple combinations of steps introduce participants to the Step. Recommended for beginning participants. Low- to medium-intensity activity.

Below the Belt


Resistance training that focuses on muscle groups below the waist. Includes abdominal and back work.

Kids’ Club


A recreational class that uses a variety of games, obstacle courses, and relays to teach junior members that exercise can be fun! Open to kids 6-13 on a family membership. *

Multi Step


Utilizes two or more benches to build fun and challenging patterns. You will enjoy the same great cardiovascular and muscular endurance benefits as traditional Step workouts while learning new and exciting patterns. Variations include In-line Step, Double Step, and 3-D Step.

Muscle Step


This workout consists of light resistance training and simultaneous basic stepping on the bench. Focus on proper form and high repetitions increases muscle tone, while still getting a cardiovascular workout.

Power Punch


High-energy cardiovascular kickboxing aerobics workout that utilizes choreographed boxing patterns, jump rope intervals, and agility work. Some partner sparring with boxing gloves. Not designed to teach boxing, martial arts, or self-defense, but uses techniques found in those arenas.

Power Stretch


20-minute session targeting major muscle groups. We focus on gentle, progressive stretching that will offer flexibility gains over and above what time in other classes allows.

Resist-a-Ball

A new approach to resistance training using a large ball, body weight, light weights, and balance to increase muscular endurance and strength.

 

 

River Walk Reebok

See Walk Reebok below. Meet at the RiverWalk at the River Reach Terrace. (Seasonal class)

Start Strong™

An introduction to Strong™ below. Slower pace, 55 minutes.

Step

Includes a wide variety of choreographed patterns using the Step elevated platform. Combined with low impact choreography, this class will improve lower body endurance as well as your cardiovascular fitness.

Strong™

An intense group exercise class using barbells and plates to concentrate on major muscle groups. Set to music without choreography. 45 minutes.

Studio Circuit

Combines steps, slides, jump ropes, calisthenics, resistance tubing, hand-held weights, and medicine balls into a circuit format.

Teen Fit

Wide variety of group exercise and personal training designed with teens in mind. Ages 12-15. Advance sign-up required; additional cost.

Total Body Med Ball

A high-intensity workout that uses the medicine ball to work major and stabilizing muscle groups; emphasis on core training.

Walk Reebok

A progressive Group Exercise interval training system that alternates fairly high-intensity walking with rest or recovery segments; trains aerobic and potentially anaerobic systems. Great fat-burning workout. (Seasonal class)

Waterworks

Entirely in the water. Designed to give a challenging workout without joint strain. Participants need not know how to swim.
