(Diego and Magdalena enjoy a dance together during the evenings festivities.)

(Diego has seen Magdelena give the Magistrado an eagle's feather. His disappointment in the fact that Magdelena is part of the Eagle's brood is evident.)

(Diego steals the feather from the Magistrado, cuts it, and slips it back to the Magistrado, thinking it would be the Magistrado that would be killed.)
