Nuriko no Miko's Shrine to the Purple One Himself

Welcome one and all to my Nuriko shrine! No other anime character has influenced me as much as Nuriko has...nope, nowhere near close. I suppose some people could argue that Dilandau from Escaflowne influenced me more..but I was already like him. After first seeing Nuriko, on the other hand, I started trying to be like him. And believe me, it's been work! I'm a total nonromantic, I've always always always hated pink and I've never been able to performmuch self-sacrafice. I like being pretty, thankyouverymuch! But Nuriko is just so totally amazing in everyway: if he loves someone that he knows is happy with someone else, he'll suffer in silence, he has a fabulous sense of humor, he takes all the teasing in stride (something I'm still struggling with), is willing to turn things back onto himself to make people happy, and he's just an all around wonderful person who I will forever aspire to be more like.

Now, naturally my purple-haired alter-ego must have an amazing sense of style. I'm vain and conceited, I admit, and I try not to judge people on looks alone...but if they have such great fashion and color sense, it's always a plus! I never knew that pink, yellow, green, and purple went together, but he pulled it off! Sigh...and it looks so good on him, too. Why can't I look that good? For that matter, why can't I have gorgeous purple hair?...You know what, let's cut to the heart of the matter. If anyone knows where I can find The Universe of the Four Gods, then please tell me, because I think I need to go there before I get committed. Of course, looks aren't everything. (Which is good for me!) Probably Nuriko's most admirable trait is the way he interacts with people. He's selfless, and manages to make himself indispensable without being egotistical. Unlike certain emperors I could name...ahem. You'll notice how he's always there, but rarely the center of things. He's willing to let other people take the stage, to turn jokes onto himself to make others feel better, to ignore the way he feels so that no one gets hurt....*sob* I gotta stop this, it's too sad. Anyway, he's got a marvelous sense of humor and is a great friend to all the Suzaku seishi and Miaka...I tend to think even at the beginning he wanted to get to know her. And you can never seperate Nuriko from his family. Little Ryuuen is soooo adorable! I wish some of the kids I babysat for were so cute. They're adorable, but they hate each other.
