A Kagetai Poem- Wolves In The Night.
Dedicated to Tokio-san & Ginny-san
From Takashi.
By The Fox
Shining, oh red moon in silence
You forced the tidal waves red at your call.
The sea, infuriated, covered our ground
In violence and desperation and cold.
Briefly, a tiny flickering second
Under the crashing tide red as blood
We saw for a last moment
The sakura smelling years of our childhood.
And disappeared like it never existed
Nights of enchanting magical glows.
Days of sunny peace under a inmense blue heaven.
When we was called the Country Of Gods.
Figthing, under your unmerciful doom
Sixteen wolves tried not to drown.
They were hurt, and broken, and hit viciously
Forced to become more clever and strong.
It was fast, and cruel, and merciful
In the quickness of the rainfall of snow:
The sixteen wolves reached trembling sfa eground
And they searched each other blindly in the storm.
The leader, the strongest of them all
Found the she-wolf eager to the love
And they became stronger, together
Enough to shelter the hurt ones.
They knew they can make a wall
To stop the see for a new come.
They were ready to defy the moon
And the Gods to protect the small.
They started brick by brick helped for another wolf:
Who was the first, the shapest, the touhgt
Quick sword, quicker mind and soul
The one who was the favorite of luck
Along with him came a shadow
A spirit of red and gold
A wolf whose eyes where an ocean of hurt
And her smile a heaven of hope.
Lonely, the one-eyed wolf
Tall and proud joined them
Stronger and loyal, his heart of iron
Became the place to rest and trust
And with him, a burned wolf
Whose beauty was made more ethereal in the fire
Was his ghost of translucent mist
A promise of spring, the heaven’scent of dawn?
They howled together: and in the blood-soaked country
Younger wolves answered they call.
They howled together, into a long night song
A ballad of things that were lost
And a ballad of hope
And they assembled, to became
Brick by brick
Song by song
The wall that will make the sea and wind to stop.
They offered their blood and swords
And their dreams and souls
To the red moon, who still shone
To make their country survive into the morning of their new dawn.
And they found their confort in each other
And their pack built a place together
With shreds of their shattered dreams
To born a new dream for them all to call home.
In a day like this I joined Kagetai…
Love you, minna.
The Fox.
