Story Summary
A series about a vampire detective named Shido, his partner Yayoi, and his office assistant Riho. Some episodes are dedicated to cases Shido and Yayoi solve, by finding and hunting dangerous night breed monsters. Shido is also haunted by his maker Cain, who eventually comes back to claim him. Cain causes trouble for Shido and his friends, and even kidnaps Riho and tries to kill her. Unfortunately, the only way Shido can save Riho is to make her a vampire.

My Opinion
I like this series. Its nothing amazing, but the story line is good and its fun to watch. The show is violent and gory, with some nudity, but nothing thats hard to stomach. There are some inconsistencies in the show (like Shido not being able to be out in the sunlight, but he's been out there when the sky looks pretty damn blue). Maybe he can't handle direct sunlight? Who knows.

Notes
- Nightwalker was originally a 4 episode OAV (with a conclusion and all), with 8 more episodes created later for television. So the character designs and look of the show change slightly after episode 4. Things like, Yayoi hair went from dark red to dark blue. Shido's hair got longer and is styled a little different, his suit's a little different, his eyes are usually green instead of yellow, and his blood sword is a different style. Cain also looks different, now with golden hair, and a more beautiful rather than masculine face.
- Nightwalker has its beginnings as a hentai game for the computer in 1993. So maybe thats why the series is slightly erotic at times.
