[Lesson 1: The Cards] [Lesson 2: Deck Construction/ Game Setup] [Lesson 3: Game Play] [Lesson 4: Scavenging] [Lesson 5: Combat]

Lesson 5: Combat Combat's kinda complicated. There are 2 types. Physical and Charm.
A Round is one turn of Combat One turn of combat is when everyone attacks.
Draw a Combat Card and put it on each of your characters.
Okay. Here's a simulated physical combat:
Note Only pay attention to energy if you want to play Flash cards. Lots of Flash cards take away from energy but addto attack.
Another Note A characters base defense (Defense with no add-on cards) is also his or her Health
In each round all characters are doing actions at the same time, so if one of your character was killed he or she can still attack in the round he or she when killed.
When you attack draw a combat card for that character. Add or subtract to what the Combat Card says. Now Take your Attack and subtract it from your opponents defense

Possible Results:
Bonked This is when the character is at 0 or negative health
Killed This is when the character is at opposite Negative health (Example: Misty's defense is 2 so she would die when her health reaches -2, Negative Two)
Nothing to Health You opponents defense is higher then the attack of your character.
Some to health You deal damage to your opponents health but he or she is not bonked.

Remember Damage to Health is cumulative each round for the duratation of combat. At the end of battle Restore Health completely for all disasters and characters.

Flash Cards You can play flash cards during battle.
Anyways, back to the battle: You draw combat cards for each character. In the end it looks like so:

New attacks/defense:
Chun Li 7/4 Sailor Venus 4/3 Misty 3/2
Belldandy Tifa Bardock
You can attack one character with more then one of your characters It's true and it's cheap. You can have as many characters attack as many characters as long as they're all there.
Blocking, or protecting is when one character helps protects another. When you do this you add the character who's blocking's defense to the character he's protecting. The character who's protecting cannot attack that round. The CWP (Character who's protecting) takes 1/2damage (Round down) to health of whatever the CBP (Character being protected) gets. For example if Aya's protecting Mima then Mimas new defense is 7. The attackers to 11 damage. 4 damage is done to Mimas health and 2 to Ayas.
Also the CBP can attack that round, but CWP can't.
Remember to add combat card bonuses to all the characters at the location (Even those who arn't attacking cause you might get acombat card which adds to defense so you can protect). Also add any equipment or item bonuses. Flash bonuses only last 1 round
