DragonBall: Exodus
Book Two
Chapter Three:
Uminium.
Bulma jumped down from the cargo bay, and landed on the barren ground, kicking up a small amount of dust.
She dusted herself off and took in her surroundings. The ship had left an incredibly long trench behind it when it touched ground. "Come on everyone," she shouted as she motioned for Chichi and the children to follow her. Goten effortlessly picked up his mother and flew off to join Bulma, leaving Trunks and Vica.
Vica's cheeks flushed red, as did Trunks'. Shyly, Vica looked down at her hands, the tips of her index fingers touching.
"I… uh… guess that mean's you have to carry me down, huh…?" "No… you have legs… you can jump down," Trunks replied, crossing his arm in his best imitation of his father. The red color in his cheeks didn't fade though.
The blush faded from Vica's cheeks has her eyes narrowed angrily. "You… you little arrogant brat," she snarled as she ran over to Trunks and kicked his shin. "Didn't your mom teach you that you should be nice to girls?" "Yes, but not to Saiya-jin Girls like you," Trunks replied with a smirk has he leapt into the air, flying after Goten and Chichi. "Hey! Come back here!!"" Vica shook her fist at Trunks, and then without another thought, jumped from the ship and ran off to catch up with Bulma.
"So… this Uminium is here… and he's the one responsible for the Rebirth of My race…" Vegeta thought as he zipped through a yellow cloud. His arms crossed over his chest, and the expression on his face hardened a little. "I wonder…" Vegeta stopped as the ship came into view. It looked like a disaster area, the ship it's self was nose to nose with a huge mountain, and behind it stretched a trench miles long. Vegeta landed and spat on the ground. "You moron, Kakarotto! So much for taking care of the ship." He calmly walked to the front of the ship, where he found Gokou sandwiched between the ship and the mountain. Gokou smiled as Vegeta stopped. "Boy I'm glad to see you Vegeta! Think you could help me outta here?" "Bakkayarou," Vegeta snorted as he extended his hand to Gokou, who gladly accepted the hand and was promptly pulled from the predicament he was in. "Thank You, Vegeta!" Gokou smiled as he dusted his clothes off. Vegeta snorted, and looked away from Gokou to survey the condition of the ship. "I thought you were going to take care of the ship?" "I did… kinda… At least no one got hurt," Gokou chimed. "Bakka," Vegeta snorted as Bulma and the other joined them. "Well," she began as she lit a cigarette. "The ship's propulsion system is a total waste… we're stuck here till we get the dragonballs." "I don't understand a word you just said…" Gokou replied before growing serious, "but I doubt getting the dragonballs is gonna be easy…" Bulma's left eye twitched slightly. "What now?" "Not what. Who. His name is Uminium, and not only is he apparently strong…" Vegeta snorted as his arms crossed over his chest, "but he's also the one responsible for the resurrection of Nappa." "Of course," Bulma wailed at the top of her lungs. "We have to face the guy who resurrected Nappa! It's like we're in some kind of story," Bulma brought her cigarette to her mouth and took a long drag. A small Namek-sejin silently walk over to Gokou, who knelt down and smiled at the child. "You okay, Ksullom?" "Son Gokou… what do you know about Uminium," Ksullom asked, ignoring Gokou's question. Gokou blinked. "Not much…. You probably know more then I do." "I see… do you wish to know more?" Gokou nodded in response. "It wasn't always like this, but you know that already.. I was only a child when Freezer destroyed the original Namek-sei… and I really don't remember much about that time… but oh, the stories Rooli- sama would tell…" Ksullom nearly whispered. Gokou blinked a few times, visibly confused. "Ne… You're a child right now…" A wise chuckle escaped the small Namek-sejin's lips. "I am… but I am not… you see… I am the rebirth of the original Ksullom… I have his thoughts and his souls… so, in a sense… I am him." "I don't get it." Gokou replied. Ksullom fell over. "Enough… we're getting off track. You wanted to know everything I can tell you about Uminium…" Gokou nodded. "Well… it began… ten years ago…" It was just another day for Ksullom. There were certain duty's the Protector of the Saichuru had to do each day.Unfortunately.. it wasn't an ordinary day. "Ksullom.. come in here please," Rooli, the Saichuru called from the door of his hut. Rooli turned and entered the hut once more. Ksullom followed him. "What is it Saichuru-sama?" Rooli stood with his back to Ksullom, staring out the only window in the hut. "I sense a great evil approaching Namek-sei, Ksullom. Greater than Freezer ever dreamed of being…" Ksullom's breath caught in his chest as Rooli turned to face him. He had only seen Rooli this grave once, when Dende had returned to Namek-sei seeking the use of the dragonballs. "You know what this mean's Ksullom. Gather the village elders and the dragonballs… we don't have much time to waste… I have something else to do." Ksullom bowed and turned to leave. Before he reached the door, a large shadow filled the room. He turned to see a large figure talking to Rooli. A figure with spiky black hair, who was missing an eye. A figure with a tail. Curiosity got the best of him, and he quickly ducked behind the outside wall, listening intently to the conversation. "He's coming, isn't he," asked a voice that belonged to the figure with Rooli. "It's appears so. There is a cave north of here. Take your family and hide there… "No, Rooli. I won't let you face him alone," the figure replied, the smirk obvious in the sound of his voice. "Besides, it's not the Saiya- jin way to hide from the enemy." Ksullom's breath again in his chest again. "Saiya-jin. What do the Saiya-jin have to do with this?" Rooli sighed. "I don't know whether to call you brave or foolish, Soseji. You have a family." "And you don't, Saichuru? Regardless of whether I stay or flee, innocent people will suffer. And I'm staying." At this point, Ksullom's head was spinning. A Saiya-jin was on Namek-sei. No, not a Saiya-jin, a FAMILY of Saiya-jin. "I told you to gather the elders and the Dragonballs, Ksullom. That does not include eavesdropping." "Forgive me, Rooli-Sama." "Forgiven. Now go. Time grows short." With a flash, Ksullom launched himself into the sky. It didn't take too long to gather the elders and their respective Dragonballs. Within the hour, Ksullom and the others were in front of the Saichuru's hut. Slowly, the door to the hut slide open, and Rooli walked out slowly and greeted his children. "I don't know how much Ksullom has told you, so you'll have to forgive me for reiterating." He paused and took a breath. "A great evil is approaching our planet. This evil… is beyond anything the tyrant Freezer ever dreamed of. And once again… it is here so to use our dragonballs." The elders exchanged panicked glances as 4 figures exited the hut. One adult male and female, and two little girls, all with spiky black hair and monkey like tails. Rooli turned in shock. "Soseji? What are you doing?" "There's not use in lying to your people, Rooli. This evil Rooli speaks of… is coming here, at least partially, in search of me." Soseji paused, and looked down at the two little girls clinging to his legs. "I never meant this planet any harm… I certainly didn't want… this evil to come here. If you'll have us… we stand with you." The 6 village elders slowly approached the Saiya-jin family, and with troubled smiles welcomed them as siblings. "My children… time is very short… we must move quickly if we are too…" "Too what pray tell," an oily voice said from behind the group. Rooli's green screen instantly paled. "You wouldn't be intending to destroy the dragonballs my father worked so hard to create now would you?" The group turned to see a figure swathed in brown rags from head to toe. "Speaking of father, where would he be... it's long past due for a reunion." "The one you seek is dead. I am the Saichuru now… Uminium." The 6 elder Namek-sejin gasped as one. "The Banished one," One of the elders gasped and Uminium removed the brown rags from his face. "The Banished one? Is that what Father called me? How droll," Uminium shook his head, and then focused on the family of Saiya-jin next to Rooli. "Good to see you, Soseji, Sakuranbo. I see you made an addition to the Saiya-jin race…" "Rooli," Soseji whispered as he pushed the two little girls behind him. "Take the elders and find someplace save to call Porunga. Get this Legendary Warrior here as fast as you can… I'll hold him off." "Yes, hurry Saichuru-Sama… this doesn't look good for us," Ksullom said as he flanked Rooli's other side. "I don't even know if the Legendary Gokou can stop him… he's so strong!" "Ksullom… Soseji…" "No time Rooli. Go," Soseji ordered as he stepped forward, the elders moving away from the warrior. A warm wind rushed over Soseji, making his black hair stand on end. "You wanted me Uminium? You've found me." "Wanted you? Oh, no. I didn't want to find you or Sakuranbo at all, Soseji... I want you dead," Uminium replied coolly. "Dead huh? You of all people should know… that I won't lay down and die like that!" The ground under Soseji's feet dipped downward as a savage scream erupted from his mouth. Ksullom was nearly knocked from his feet. He closed his eyes as the wind suddenly kicked up a massive cloud of dust. He opened his eyes again. And there stood Soseji… only he was different… his hair was no longer black… it was golden and stood straight up. Uminium stifled a yawn. "You haven't improved sense last we met, Soseji. I'm disappointed." "Shut up." Soseji disappeared, and reappeared in front of Uminium, his fist squarely catching his aged jaw. Uminium didn't blink. Instead, while Soseji was still airborne, Uminium slammed his fist through the Saiya-jin's gut, and out his back. Soseji's spine was firmly gripped in Uminium's withered old hand. Blood spilled for Soseji mouth as Uminium ripped his arm from his body, spine still firmly grasped in his hand. Soseji fell limp to the ground. "PAPA!!" One of the two little girls burst forward with blinding speed, coming to a stop kneeling in the pool of blood rapidly forming around Soseji. "Papa no! Don't die Papa!" Soseji's hair returned to it's black color, has his hand reached up to caress the little girls face. "My…l-little…Vica…." Silently, Soseji's hand slide from Vica's face as he took his last breathe… "The next thing I remember is waking up in this body… the shell of my egg still next to me." But nobody was paying attention to Ksullom. Instead, they were gathered around Vica, who was on the ground curled into a ball, sobs wracking her tiny body.
