Chapter Four

   Namek-sei was not known for it's lush forests. 
Rather, it's known for it's vast oceans, full of varied 
forms of life.
   Gavalt dove into the green waters without considering 
what might lie waiting beneath the surface, she only had 
one thing on her mind…
   Escape. Find Vica.
   As she cut through the icy water, an energy sphere 
shot past her. Gavalt darted right, just as a huge figure 
dove in beside her. With a frightened gurgle, Gavalt shot 
forward, her pursuer close behind.
   Another blast flew past Gavalt, narrowly missing her.
   Gavalt tried to swim faster, her lungs beginning to 
burn from the lack of oxygen, her vision blurring slightly.
   A huge shape surged past her, and swallowed her attacker 
whole. 
   Suddenly, her savior turned around, jaws open. A panicked 
gurgle escaped her mouth, as her vision was dominated by row 
after row of triangular teeth. She spun and swam as fast as her 
tiny body could, the creature quickly catching up to her.

   Silently, something snapped inside her, and she stopped dead 
in her tracks. She thrust both her arms forward, palms pointing 
straight ahead…

   With a flash of Light, and a surge of bubbles, the predator was 
gone…

   With a gurgle of relief she watched what was left of her former 
savior slowly fall to the ocean floor, and slowly rose to the surface…
   As her head broke the surface of the water, a flash of light 
off something metallic blinded her momentarily. 
   On a nearby mini continent, more or less an island, an incredibly 
large object was nose to nose with a huge mountain.

   Gavalt had found Toryiama's Dream…

   The current carried her ashore. The last thing she remembered 
was someone scooping her off the wet sand, and then… 
blackness…

   Inside her quarters on the ship, Vica sat Indian style on her cot, 
a mug of steaming coco clasped in her hands. Ksullom sat against 
the cot, his back turned to Vica.
   "So," Vica began slowly, "you're the Namek-sejin who fought 
along side my father…"
   "Somewhat," Ksullom replied. "I'm sorry… I didn't realize who you
were." Vica shook her head and smiled weakly.
   "It's not your fault… I just wasn't expecting it that's all…" For a 
long moment, Vica continued to stare down at the coco in her 
hands. Abruptly, she looked down at Ksullom. "Is my sister still alive?"
   "I believe so…" Ksullom began as he stood. "I've been in hiding 
for a while, so I can't be sure…" he paused, "It is, however, well 
known that Uminium keeps a Saiya-jin has his… pet…"
   "Pet?" Vica whispered. She didn't have to ask… she knew  
Uminium's pet was her sister… it had to be. "Ksullom.. Can you… 
sneak me into Uminium's fortress? I'm sure his 'pet' is my sister…"
   "It's suicidal to even think like that Vica…"
   Vica hopped off her bed. "I don't care! I have to get her out of 
there!"
   Ksullom stood, opening his mouth to speak. The opening door cut 
him off.
   Tapion entered the cramped room carrying something in his arms. 
"I think you may want to see this Vica…" 
   "Not now, Elf Boy…" Vica snarled. A voice cut her off…
   "Vica…?"

   Vica stopped dead in her tracks. It couldn't be…
   "Gavalt?"
   The soaking wet figure leapt from Tapion's arms, and glomped 
Vica. "Oneesan!! Waa!!! This elf guy found me on this island thing 
and brought me here it was so scary I blew up this big ol' suber-
uber-fish-shark-thingamabob I was all like GAA And it was all like 
ROAR And I gurgled and started swimming  after it ate the bad guy 
that was chasing me and he shot energy at me and I was like 
GURGLE and started swimming away after I jumped into the ocean 
and it was so cold and Uminium was mean he made fight this big 
green guy and stuff and GAA an Elf!!!" She shrieked as she leapt 
from Vica's arms and jumped over to the corner of the room.
   "Huh," Vica blinked three times, staring stupidly at the spot her 
sister had just vacated.
   "An elf," Tapion snorted, "Do I look like an elf?" 
   "Yeah, kinda," Vica shrugged and she went over and knelt down 
in front of Gavalt. "Ok, Sis, lets try this again… this time, slow 
down and start from the top…"
   "…ok…" Gavalt nodded and took a deep breath.

   "So here I am," Gavalt finished.
   Vica sat in silence, turning Gavalt's story over in her head. Her 
mother died shortly after she vanished, and Gavalt had taken Vica's 
place as Uminium's pet. Her stomach flip-flopped at the thought. 
   "… I didn't mean to leave, Sis… it just kinda happened…"

   "This is perfect!! Can you call Porunga-Shenlong?"
   "Yes," Vica replied as he removed Tapion's hand. "But if 
anyone finds out, he smells like toenails will cause us great grief 
and torture... or so he says... personally, I think he couldn't hit 
water if he fell into the ocean, but hey..."
   "Well, I need a set of Potara Fusion Earrings... and I don't want a 
Permanent Vegetto, so.. I need the Fusion to be temporary...."
   Vica kicked the last dragonballs into place. "Get your ass out 
here Porunga!" Nothing happened. 
   "Fine..." Vica said, and then spoke in the Namekian Language.
In a flash, the dragon was summoned, and it ripped through the 
hut.
   "Okay... wish one... Wish for a set of Potara Earrings...."
   "....first off, Kaiou-Sama..." Porunga rumbled. "I can't create 
Potara from nothing... only a Kaiou-shin can.... but if you gave 
me a base set of earrings..."
   "NO! MINE!" Vica yelped as she clapped her hands over her ears.
   "I could make a similar set of earrings allowing fusion..." Porunga 
continued. "A temporary fusion ended with the removal of an 
earring, but.... that's only if you tell me to in my native language."
   "Little girl.. I beg you.. please..."
   "First.." Vica growled as she planted her hands on her hips. "The
name is VI-CA! Say it with me now... VI-CA..."
   "Vica..." Porunga grumbled, playing along. "Are you done?"
   "No. not you, Porunga..." Vica barked. "The spirit..."
   "Vica. Are you happy?"
   "No..." Vica whined as she sat down. "I'm stuck on this planet, 
with elfboy, and he who bathes not....!"
   "Then use the other two wishes to go to Earth and send the 
Potara to Gokou and Vegeta!"
   "Fine fine... Porunga...." Vica snorted as she stood back up.

   "It's ok, Oneesan… I know you wouldn't leave me behind on 
purpose," Gavalt smiled as she continued to dry herself off with a 
towel. "Besides, The Legendary Gokou is here now… everything's 
gonna be ok now right?"
   Vica shook her head and looked down at the floor. "I don't know 
if Gokou-san can beat Uminium… I mean, yeah, he beat Nappa… 
but…"
   "Sugoi! Gokou-san beat Nappa!"

   Vica nodded. Unfortunately… she didn't think Gokou stood a 
chance in hell against Uminium… he was going to need all the 
help he could get…
