Belle and Luke 
Our Christmas card this past Christmas. Belle is up and Luke is down Belle has unique medical issues. She was born with a severe scoliosis of her neck. It is so severe that the vets have never seen it in a dog that size. We've had her to every specialist available including the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School. Her spine is so deformed that it puts pressure on her heart and lungs. She's on meds to help her breathe easier. I guess the good thing is that she doesn't know she has it. We don't know how long she can survive, but she's our buddy until then! Luke came to us 3 yrs ago, the poor dog was a mess, but he's now in great shape except for some allergies and low thyroid. He is a real sweetie. All he wants is to be fed and petted. Of course the belly rubs! At least his past 3 years have been good for him. Hopefully we'll have him for many more!
