Seven kids (Tai, Izzy, T.K. Matt, Sora, Mimi, and Joe) that were at Summer camp saw a Digimon at battle when they were younger, and since they were the only ones, they were chosen to save the Digital world from destruction of the evil digimon that wanted to rule. They were each given a digimon and digivice to help them. In the end, they gain another digidestined (That's what they were called) kid, which was Tai's sister, Kari. Their Digimon end up Digivolving into stronger creatures, then Warp Digivolving and defeat the evil creature.
