The Manga
The manga was excellent. There's no other word for it. Out of ten stars, I'd give it a perfect ten. Watsuki Nobuhiro is a really talented artist. I've compared the RK manga to other manga and I have to say that RK's really the best, and that's in everything! The character designs, the plot, the character development... everything was perfect! And it has the coolest villains too, with Saitoh Hajime topping the coolest villains list, followed closely by Enishi Yukishiro, then by Soujiro Seta. I really liked everything about the manga, even those weird-looking villains because Watsuki provided valid explanations for their looks. I enjoyed reading it from start to finish. (Ha! As if I understand Japanese! I don't. I read Maigo-chan's translations, in case you were wondering)
As for the final story in the Kenshin Kaden, I was a bit disappointed with the characters' new faces. Only Megumi and Aoshi looked good. I didn't like Kaoru's new hairstyle and the pattern of the kimono she was wearing. I didn't like Misao's haircut either. I preferred her long braid over her much shorter hairdo. And Kenshin... he cut his hair short! *wails in earnest* Yeah I know, Watsuki-san cut his hair at the end of the manga but did he really have to do that? And it's not even a good haircut like Aoshi's or Soujiro's! *wails even harder* Oh well...
