Twinbee

Twinbee is a sentient ship who fights for justice. Built by Dr. Cinnamon, he's able to fly on his own, but is normally piloted by Light. He can grow or shrink in size, making himself large enough to carry a passenger, or small enough to be held in the palm of their hand. Has saved the Universe a lot of times. He's the star of the series.

Winbee

Twinbee's sister. She helps save the galaxy on almost as regular a basis and has appeared in nearly all the games. Piloted by Pastel. She normally plays second fiddle to Twinbee, but she's capable in her own right, despite seeming rather shy. She can combine forces with her brothers to significantly increase their mutual firepower.

Gwinbee

The third and youngest of the Bees, Gwinbee is also rather more boisterous than his siblings. He's responsible for looking after Herb, who also pilots him. He's the most marginalised team member, generally appearing as a 3rd Player, or even simply as a mere power up.

Dr. Cinnamon

Cinnamon (aka 'Shinnamon') is the benevolent creator of Twinbee, Winbee and Gwinbee. In his defence, it must be pointed out that these three robots are highly efficient. However, if his appearances in the games are anything to go by, this accomplishment was apparently followed by a progressive descent into senility. In Stinger he gets kidnapped. In Rainbow Bell Adventure he sits uselessly with his back turned to you for the entire game. In Twinbee Taisen Puzzle Dama he dances unhelpfully in the centre of the screen. Fortunately, on the verge of being branded a poor man's Dr. Light, he redeems himself in Twinbee RPG by gaining some weight, losing a few years and actively helping out a lot more. Hopefully we'll be seeing more evidence of his alleged 'scientific genius'. Cinnamon has a laboratory on Donburi Island which serves as a home and a headquarters for him, his family and the Bees.

Light

Cinnamon's Grandson, Light (aka, for some reason, 'Sharp') pilots Twinbee. So as to ensure that this fact is never ignored, he wears a blue jumpsuit embossed with the letter 'T' and has never been known to choose any other outfit. Whether he's an orphan and, indeed, why he lives with Cinnamon is unclear. Light spends most his time behind the scenes, as it were, generally appearing in the cut-scenes that appear between game levels. He also goes missing in Twinbee RPG.

Pastel

Reluctant sex symbol of the Twinbee series, Pastel is Light's cousin. She also pilots Winbee. By all accounts, she's a bright, active girl. Like Light, she appears most often in cut-scenes, from which it would seem that she spends most her time on the beach. While on duty, she wears a pink and white costume with a large 'W' logo.

Herb

A 'mischevous baby', according to the game manuals. Quite whose baby, I have no idea. Regardless, he's competent to pilot Gwinbee. Also known, with a little more specificity, as 'Mint'

Dr. Mardock

The villain in Pop'n Twinbee. Apparently, Mardock was a peaceful scientist until he one day hit his head upon a pole(!) and ended up trying to take over the world. Whether this insanity is temporary or irreversible is unknown. He loves rabbits, is fairly unhygenic and lives in a huge mountaintop onto which he's carved the gigantic image of his own likeness.

Madoka

Mardock's grand-daughter and friend of Light, Pastel & Herb. Madoka was rescued from her insane grandfather by Twinbee and now enjoys baking and other domestic activities. She's also a fledgeling mechanic, although her efforts don't always work out as planned.

Warumon

Dr Cinnamon's arch-rival, Warumon spends his time building armies of evil bee clones and trying to take over the world. He also dabbles in foreign politics, provoking coups, that sort of thing. He's always thwarted by Twinbee, or course. Probably the most evil man in the Universe. He also has a number of airships which invariably end up getting crashed.

Evil Bee

This guy actually appears in loads of Twinbee games - whether it's always him, or whether there are several is not entirely clear. Comes in black & purple models. Either way, he's a jerk and quite indiscriminate about who he sides with - he's worked for Iva, Warumon & Mardock in his time. You can't tell from the picture, but he's much bigger than Twinbee.

Melora

Melora is seemingly a Goddess and protector of the Universe. However, she's more than happy to cede jurisdictional responsibility to Twinbee when the galaxy is in peril. Has a tendency to fade away mysteriously, get trapped in bubbles, and generally require saving. Nice person though.
