Pairings, eh? . . . Those who know me know that I'm not much of a romantic-shipper, but that I do enjoy cute scenes between Seto and the girls that wouldn't necessarily have to be romantic. *shrug* Well, Valentine's Day is almost upon us, sooo . . .
An interesting couple here. I'm not really much in favor of this pairing. . . . Both Seto and Ishizu are so darn mysterious all the time! ^_~ But hey, who knows? Maybe it would work out. . . . There *is* a certain chemistry between them in Ishizu's first episode. . . . They might open up to each other ^^ Kinda cute. Yeah, I like this one ^^
A very cute-sounding couple. I have heard that Seto actually does start dating Serenity in the later episodes, but I don't know how serious their relationship is, nor do I know what Joey thinks about it! Hehehe. . . . Serenity is a very sweet girl who just may melt Seto's heart even more ^^ She would be very good for him, I would say ^_^
Hmmm . . . for some reason, this is the pairing that I like the least. I don't know . . . I think Mai would be more compatible with Joey, or Bakura, or even Yugi. ^_~ I don't really have any specific reason to dislike the pairing. . . . It's just that I . . . do. Hehehe. . . . Mai doesn't really seem to like Kaiba that much anyway, buuut it could just be an act. She did sound kind of excited to learn that Kaiba was in the Virtual Reality game when she was there too! ^_~
You wanna know something weird? I like this pairing, but not especially in a romantic way. I like it more in a "close friendship" kinda way, while the same time hinting at something deeper. (My stories are an example of what I mean.) ^_~
At first glance, it seems that Tea immensely dislikes Seto, but perhaps we should take a closer look?
In Duel with a Ghoul, Joey yells, "That ghost don't even look like Kaiba!!" And then Tea cries adamently, "That's right!!" Then she tries to correct herself, "Wait! I mean, it's not a ghost and it's not Kaiba!!" Heh. Sounds kinda suspicious to me!
And she sounds incredibly shaken when Pegasus takes Seto's soul later on. She says something like, "Kaiba . . . he's gone too!" and sounds like she's in shock or disbelief. She uses that same horrified tone later on when she realizes that Ishizu thinks that Seto was the evil high priest Seth, as if she couldn't believe such a thing was really true. (Of course, I don't think it is ^_~ )
Of course, there are the bursts of angry words whenever she talks to Seto, buuuut . . . Did you ever consider that she yells at him because she cares about him? **winkwink**
