Kazuki studies in a magical school for elite magician even though he is woefully far beneath even the lowest ranked magician. In a school where the average magician has the magical capacity to use magic 8,000 times, Kazuki can only use it 8 times. after exhausting one's own magical capacity, the magician turns to dust. Then, out of the blue, Miyama Yuuna appears in front of him claiming to be his wife. Then, Kezetsubaki Kuriko, a rather famous student comes after him as well wanting his genes. On top of that, Kamishiro Rin, a well liked freshman, shows up trying to kill him because her family is trying to get her to marry him. Going back to school, Dr.Akai explains the reason. Even though he is way below average just like his father before him, his ancestry is filled with many talented and powerful magicians. With all their blood cursing through his veins, his child might just become the greatest magician. Of course upon hearing this, all the girls in his class go berserk as well.

The three of them comes from powerful families that are suffering from one thing or another. Bearing a child with incredibly powerful magical abilities would more than easily set things right. Hearing that made Kazuki even more irritable than normal and yelled at Yuuna who he believes is after the same thing. Dropping her pendant after she ran away, Kazuki picked it up only to realize that Yuuna is the girl from his childhood memories with whom he made a promise with. Running after her, he uses one of his magical tries to make the snow fall just like he promised her when they were children.

It would seem that she has been evicted from the manor that she was haunting when the new owners decided to level the place to build something else. Learning that it is Kuriko's company that now owns it, Kazuki pleads with her to at least let Elizabeth take the armor keepsake that she has. Unfortunately, they get there too late as the whole place comes down right iin front of their eyes. Finding out what has happened, Elizabeth gets enraged and attacks him and Yuuna and Kazuki is forced to use his magic to protect themselves from a vengeful ghost. Not only did that manage to protect them, it also merged Kazuki and Yuuna's dorm so that Kazuki no longer has to hide Yuuna everytime she drops in on him! Afterwards, Elizabeth finds a new place to stay when she decide that Kuriko will be her new mother.

While the others have gone their separate ways, Kuriko takes Kazuki to see Dr. Akai where she accuses him of summoning the beast to get Kazuki to use his power for his own interest and tries to blackmail him into being her servant or else. Unfortunately, she found herself to be in correct in her assumption when the behemoth breaks through the wall. On top of that, Dr. Akai released the behemoth that he had captured earlier. As things are about to get messy, Kazuki uses his power to destroy both behemoths against Kuriko's orders.

It Was Lit Up...:
Realizing from the incident in Kyoto that when Kazuki's ashes scattered, they must have hidden themselves within people, Kuriko beleaves that aside from Yuuna and Yamase whose ashes they carry have returned to Kazuki, the rest must be within her and Rin. |
Protected...:

Coming back after a while, she sees him still swinging the sword and collapse from doing it for so long, running towards him, the ashes she has returns to Kazuki as his body is reformed. At first, there doesn't seem to be any problem, but then, Kazuki collapses to the floor and his new body looks as if it is about to vanish as well.
Seen...:

The fifth protion of the ashes have hidden themselves within the two memories! |
It Was Over...:
Realizing that Kazuki will forget about everything if he turns back into a human, Yamase runs off with the last piece of Kazuki's ashes. Yuuna runs after her to convince her. While Kazuki is on the brink, Dr. Akai tries to boost him up so that he will last longer before Shino attempts to reclaim the ashes. As Shina and the manager argues with each other about the merits of one's memories, Yuuna and Yamase repeats those same arguments. With the arrival of Kuriko and Rin to take her back by force if needed, Yamase realizes that Kazuki's memories are not important. What is important is that he is still alive and that new memories can be made. With that, the ashes within the shared memories that Yamase and Yuuna has returns to Kazuki. A little while later, everything retunrs to normal, or as normal as it can get. Yuuna is has become more of the envious type. Kazuki manages to keep his memories. Macross '84: Do you Remember Love?
In the distant future, humans have acquired the ability to go into space with the help of captured alien technology and has attracted the attention of the Zentraedi and Meltaedi, a race of male and female giants who knows nothing but fighting. Earth has been horrible devastated and the last of humanity is in the super dimensional fortress Macross. Having been sent to the outer rim of the solar system, they are heading home. The story revolves around Hikaru Ichijou (Rick Hunter), Minmay Lynn (Lynn Minmay) and Misa Hayase (Lisa Hayes). Their story unfolds as the blossoming love affair between Hikaru and Minmay is cut short by a Zentraedi attack that left Hikaru and Misa stranded on Earth. The horror of discovery of horrible devastation that has been wrought upon their world and the uncovering of the genetic link of humans to the Zentraedi and Meltraedi, as well as being alone in a lonely planet relying upon each other for survival, Hikaru and Misa drew closer together and together, they discovered a way to defeat the giant aliens. All is needed is for Minmay to help participate, but will her broken heart allow her to be of any use to humanity?
(Adventure/Drama/Sci-fi)
It's Macross '84! Do you even need to ask if I recommend this? Yes, go out and get now! Ah, if only a DVD version of this would come out with Japanese language and subtitles. As of now, it is only available on tape dubbed in English (and horribly dubbed too). Beware though, there are two versions of this-Superdimensional Fortress Macross, the real thing and Macross: Clash of the Bionoids, the horrible mangled/edited 4 Kids Only version.
Macross II
Eighty years have passed on Earth since the events chronicled in Macross: Do you Remember Love? The descendants of the Zentraedi. Meltrandi conflict have established a new society with the people of Earth. When alien invaders identified as renegade Zentraedi threaten this uneasy alliance, the Superdimensional Fortress Macross must resurrect itself after generations of inactivity to fight against an enemy force. Hibiki Kanzaki, an investigative reporter for Scramble News Network (SNN), is caught up in the battle when he inadvertently allies himself with Ishtar, an enigmatic Zentraedi princess. Enlisting the help of spirited Valkyrie pilot Silvie Gena, Hibiki rushes to save Ishtar from imminent "reprogramming" by hostile Zentraedi. Silvie and Hibiki must also broadcast the truth about Zentraedi invasion and convince the powerful U. N. Spacey to reactivate the Macross fortress and defend Earth one more time.
(Adventure/Drama/Sci-fi)
Macross II is considered to be the worst of the Macross series. Most series after this will inadvertently claim that Macross II is set on an alternative timeline and the story chronicled here has no real influence or importance to the "real" Macross universe. For all Macross fans, don't bother with this. To everyone else, this is worth renting once or so.

Macross Plus
Set some thirty years after Macross- Do You Remember Love? This is the story of a newer generation. Although the war against Zentraedi and Meltraedi is over, the sparks of conflict still ignite.
(Action/Drama/Sci-fi)
Macross Plus The Movie, in my opinion, is an inferior version of the OVA’s with some scenes deleted and added into it. All the scenes seems to have been reshuffled around and well, it sucked. It's better to go get the OVA's and this series is a must have for any Macross fans.

The Road to Victory: The Tomorrow that the Believing Heart Opens!:
Magic User's Club (Mahou Tsukai Tai) OVA
It was in another world, during a magical time full of mystery, wonder, and ancient power. It was a place known as high school. An army of shiny, invulnerable alien invader is threathening to dominate the human reace. Not only that, but members of the Magic User's Club are the only ones who can oppose them...
(Comedy/Magic)
A charming little series. As much about fighting aliens with magic as it is about finding out more about yourself and having courage to face forward and moving towards that future. Yes, you should add this to your collection.
Magic User's Club (Mahou Tsukai Tai) TV
The aliens have been defeated, and the Bell has been transformed into a gigantic cherry tree. Now, the brave Magic User's Club must reconvene to deal with a new problem. Apparently, some inconsiderate persons left a skyscraper sized cherry tree in the middle of Tokyo, and it's become a major inconvenience to everyone in the city, Even though they have no idea who could have done such a thing, the club feels strangley responsible and springs into action!
(Comedy/Magic)
This is a continuation of the OVA series and just as endearing. many things are continued from where they were left off. A further development between the relationship of Sae and Takeo, Nanaka and Aburatsubo, another look at Miyama, and more of Akane's carefree atittude. It's a charming little series with wonderful stories about growing up and the confusions that life throws at you. Yes, I think that it would be nice to have this as part of your collection.

Magical Twilight
Misadventures of a young witch apprentice named Chipple, her classmate Irene, and the mortal Tsukasa who is the object of their rivalry and curriculum.
(Comedy/Hentai)
This is one of the first hentai to come here commercially. Think of the plot resembling a poor man's version of Oh My Goddess! (or Ah! My Goddes for you purists) with sex and you've got thsi series. An ok watch if you're bored and has hankering for some hentai action comercially released from the early 90's that doesn't entail Inju (tentacle action). My recomendation - rent if you have nothing else to do and it is right there in front of you and nothing else seems interesting.

Mahoraba: Heartful Days
Mahoraba is about the daily adventures of the Shiratori Ryu, his land lady and the residents of Narutakisou where he lives.
(Comedy)
Yes, I recomend it. Mahoraba is the story of Shiratori Ryu during the summer of his life as well as Kozue (and her other personalities) the landlady, his love interest(s) and the other residents as they try to push them together, cause them embarasement, or just involve them in some weird, twisted plot to relieve them of their boredom in their sleepy little appartment in the midst of skyscrappers. It's a very cute romantic comedy. Think of this as a cuter version of Maison Ikoku.
Welcome to Narutakisou:
Shiratori is an aspiring children's book author/ilustrator. To that end, he decides to go to Tokyo to a college for just that. There he is going to stay at the apartment owned by his mother's cousin. When he arrives there, he is shocked to learn that his pretty high school second cousin is the acting landlady. As he daydreams about the days ahead of him, he meets some of the eccentric neighbors he will be living with and Momo, the 20 year old college student next door warns him never to shock or surprise Kozue, the landlady. Bearing that to mind, Shiratori believes that she has a heart condition of some sort. The truth, he learns the hard way, is far worse than just that.
Miss Landlady's Secret:
When Kozue tripped and fell on top of Shiratori, she gets shocked and surprised by the situation and sudenly transforms into Saki, an energetic, aggresive girl. She, Momo, and Tamami, the girl who lives in appartment 1, all decide at Saki's insistence to throw a welcome party for Shiratori. As Shiratori goes out for some snacks, Momo accompanies him and explains about Kozue strange condition. Getting back to his room, Saki starts making fun of him for being too girly and it doesn't take long for Shiratori to realize that Saki is completely different from the quiet, gentle Kozue. After Saki passes out and Tamami takes her back to her room, Shiratori contemplates wether to stay or not. The next day, as the other residents buy stuff for Shiratori's welcome party, He and Kozue spend time together and Shiratori realizes that Saki is completely gone again. When the others return to the appartment, a gust of wind blows Kozue skirt up exposing her completely to everyone. This embarasses and shocks her which means that...
The Precious Place:
When a gust of wind blows Kozue's skirt up, the shock of embarassment causes her to transform into a different personality. The one the emerges is not Saki though, but Nanako, a six year old girl who immediately attaches herself to Shiratori. The others leaves Nanako to Shiratori's care as he unpacks his stuff. Nanako wreaks havok on Shiratori's plans as she does things like ask him to read her stories and draw on the wall with crayons. Tired, she falls asleep in Shiratori's lap as the others comes into his room to begin his welcom party. They introduce themselves. Momono Megumi lives nextdoor at appartment 3. She is 20 and is a college student. Chanohata Tamami lives nextdoor in appartment 1, is 16 and a high school junior at the same school as Kozue. Kurosaki Sayoko and her daughter Asami lives in appartment 5. Although Sayo is completely useless, her daughter is energetic and cheerful. Asami is also 12 and a freshman in junior high. Last is Haibara from appartment 5. The only guy in the Narutakisou appartments, he is always seen with a dog sock puppet in his hand named Johny doing all the taking for him. As they party on, Sayo removes a cardboard box and all the stuff collapses. Kozue gets hit in the head and she again transforms into Saki and everyone, parties all night long.
Warm and Fuzzy:
With everyone (mostly Momo) partying everynight in his room, Shiratori doesn't get much of a chance to get things done for school. He gets punished for not having homework done, but makes some friends. On the way back, he runs into Kozue and Tmami who are on their way back from school and they decide to show him where the book store is so that he can buy stuff for reference. On the way there, they pass through the shopping district where people ask Kozue if Shiratori is her good man (meaning boyfriend) to which she doesn't realize what the question being asked is and responds that he is indeed a good man. Stopping by a park to rest, they meet a girl who has lost her cuopon tub for a futon warmer and decides to help her out. After hours of searching, she realizes that it has been in her bag all along and Shiratori, Kozue and Tamami goes on into the bookstore. Afterwards, they go back home and Kozue cooks dinner for everyone as the another day ends for the residents of Narutakisou.
Nega Posi:
Asami Kurosaki is one of Shiratori's neighbor. She is a cheerful, positive girl whose mother seems to be gloomy, negative woman who is completely useless. Shiratori somehow gets himself stuck in a position helping the two of them finish their job of making fake flowers. He begins to learns a bit more about the duo as he spends the day in their furnitureless room. Asami seems to be really adept to it while her mom just sits there for the most part and does virtually nothing. At dinner time, Shiratori decides to help Asami shop for food. Asami gets stomped on trying to get the sale foods and cuts out edible grass from the side of the road for food. As the day ends and the sun begins to rise, they complete the job with Asami doing most of the work and Shiratori making a story of mother and daughter based on them for his homework.
Tama Check:
Shiratori is getting really exhausted with people partying in his room all the time and it is starting to show. One day, while trying to get some rest, Tamami decides to ask for his help by blackmailing him with a picture of him and Nanako. The two of them head on to the school that Tamami and Kozue attends. There, Shiratori seems to get himself involved in every minor thing that happens. They finally return home with the bonsai that Tamami left behind and Shiratori realizes that it was all a test that Tamami put him through to determine whether he was good enough for Kozue or not.
Hide and Seek:
Arriving at the appartment one day, Shiratori discovers that the others are going to play a game made up by Momo. They are going to play hide and seek with the winner becoming king and having the ability to command everyone else in the household. Shiratori becomes the oni or "it." It was easy to find Momo and Sayoko and a bit harder to find Asami and Haibara. With a few minutes left, he finally finds where Tamami is hiding. Unfortunately, as he starts to celebrate, he realizes that he is still missing Kozue and time runs out for him. Kozue reveals herself to be hiding in plain sight as part of the building and she becomes the king. Later on, she uses that privelage to get Shiratori to go out with her on Sunday for a day of shopping.
Shopping
Using the Royalty Ticket that she won from the hide and seek contest, Kozue asks Shiratori out to accompany her on Sunday for her shopping. As Sunday arrives and the two of them head out to go shopping at the super department mall, Momo and Tamami follows them around waiting for interesting things to happen. It turns out that Kozue asked him out to buy a special rice bowl for him. It would have ended there too, if Kozue hadn't gotten hit by a boy running in the mall, which caused Saki to come out. With Saki out, their "date" continues as they go to the arcade and have ice cream at the park where Shiratori sees another dimension to Saki's personality. When Saki finally reverts back to Kozue, they head back home for dinner and Shiratori learns that everyone at Naritakisou has their own special rice bowl bought by Kozue. Momo, irritated that nothing special happened during their date, takes the royalty ticket from Kozue and orders Shiratori to call Kozue by name from now on instead of just Miss Landlady.
Correct:
After a night of drinking, Shiratori is out like a lamp. Hearing him mumble something about Kozue in his dreams, Momo and Tamami decides to "punish" him. He wakes up and he's all dressed up...complete with a blond wig and a bra stuffed with paddings. When they try to get him to wear a frilly red panty that Momo got but never used, he runs off. Returning to Narutakisou, he is surprised that everyone is passed out all over the floors in costumes. Then he finds out why - it is Kozue's fourth personality, Chiyuri, the cosplay maniac. Along with Tamami, the photo maniac who takes their pictures after Chiyuri is done with them, Shiratori finds himself completely trapped. Agreeing to change inot costume, but only if he is to change himself, Chiyuri tries to get him to put the same pair of panties he ran away from at the beginning. When he refused and reveals that he is a guy, Chiyuri shorts out and passed out. The next day, Kozue remembers nothing of the trouble she caused the day before.
Sketch:
When they are given a homework to draw real people, Shiratori's classmates all decide to do their homework at Shiratori's place. There, with Momo's "help," everyone at Narutakisou becomes models for their homework and the typical hijinx ensues as each of Shiratori's classmate's talents and personalities shines through. In the end though, Shiratori gets the best grade amongst them all with Kozue as his model.
Affection:
Momo has been feeling down lately and thinks often of other couples. She asks Shiraori out on a date on Sunday. When Sunday rolls around, Shiratori is greeted by a totally different Momo. They go through everything that a normal couple would do - from going shopping, to eating out, to going to the movie together, to walking in the park. As the date comes to an end, Momo reveals that the whole was just a test for herself. She wanted to test her resolve for her love who has gone far away. In the end, though she likes Shiratori as well, that person is the only one for her after all. Going back home together, Kozue greets them at the door with a letter from Momo's long distance love to her.
Summer! Swimsuits! The Beach!:
It is the height of summer and it is really, really hot. Everyone at Narutakisou, feeling the heat, decides to go to the beach with Momo as the driver. There they make a stop at Lover's Cape before actually going to the beach. Haibara and Johnny and Sayako mostly stay under the umbrella as everyone else fools around. As the day ends, they eat watermelons and all the sea critters that Tamami caught on her way back from the swimming race that she, Momo and Asami had. Going back to Nautakisou, Shiratori wonders what Kozue's wish might have been at Lover's Cape.
Treasure of Narutakisou:
Looking for materials to fix the door in Momo's room, Kozue, Shiratori and Momo discovers a treasure map left behind by Kozue's great grandfather. The excited residents quickly decides to go on a treasure hunt, but most of the clues leads to trivial features of the appartment. In the meantime, Shiratori got sadled with fixing Momo's door while the rest have fun. Needing nails, Shiratori goes out to buy them and Kozue and Tamami decides to accompany him. On their way back, they learn a bit of Naritajisou's history from the vegetable/fruit vendor about why Naritakisou is the only old building amidst all the high rise ones. Coming back, Tamami uses the infrared lens she bought to read the faded part and Kozue and Shiratori finally discovers the whereabouts of the treasure. After digginig it out, the treasure turned out to be nothing more than pictures of the residents through out the ages and they decid to take their picture and at it to the treasure box before burying it again for future residents to find.
At the end of Summer:
Summer is nearly over and Shiratori has only a week left to complete his homework. Looking depressed as he tries to come up with a story, Kozue tries her best to cheer him on from a distance. Seeing Kozue watering the seedlings and talking to which the seedlings seemed to be talking back, Shiratori was shocked at first then realizes that it was actually just Sayako answering as the plant and he gets an idea for his story. His only problem now is for an actual plot to his idea of a talking plant. His first attempt involved Tama as the witch and Momo as the dog searching for the talking plant. His next attempt invovled Asami as ant and Sayoko as grasshopper who finds the talking plant that grants three wishes. When he receives some pears mailed to him by his mom, he gives some to everyone and he realizes how much Kozue has been cheering him and thanks her in his own way. That was when he manages to come up with his perfect story about his talking plant. When he finished his story, Kozue seems to have transformed again and runs away from him...
Maybe:
Shiratori finds out that this incarnation of Kozue has shown up before, but no one knows who she or what her name is because she doesn't seem to want to talk to anyone and keeps on running away. All they know is that she does magic tricks and reads book and seems to be somewhat interested in her. Everyone tries their best to get her to open herself to them. Shiratori seems to be the only one to succeed when he tried to learn magic from her and inadvertently befriends her and learns that her name is Natsume. After learning more about her, Shiratori is able to complete his story about the talking plant. The next day, when Kozue wakes up, she is surprised to see Shiratori doing magic tricks and asks to hear the rest of the story. The rest of the household also comes out to listen to Shiratori.

Meanwhile, Haibara takes away the garlic and gives it to Kozue which allows the club president ot come in and she and Tamami have an "epic battle." the "battle," witnessed by Shiratori and his guests are cut short by the scent of curry that Kozue is making. They all eat together cramped in the small dining space and everything ends well as everyone says good bye and goes to their respective homes.

Kozue is then forced to head home by herself. When Tamami escapes the club president, she heads home while remeniscing of her childhood and how she seemed to be the perfect child. And, yet because everything came so easy for her, she could never enjoy the merits of doing a good job. That all changed one day when she started 4th grade though, when she met a strange girl named Kozue. With her, everything seemed fascinating again. As time went on, the two of them became closer and closer and they promised to be friend forever. Reaching the banks where the two of them used to hang out, Tamami started feeling left out now that Shiratori is in the picture, but suddenly, Kozue shows up and everything melts away as the two of them hang around the same bamks they used as kids and spend the afternoon away eating pickled plums.

Haibara/Johnny wanders off alone, and Asami takes her mom to go buy at a discount store 2 train stations away leaving Kozue to man the fort as Ryu tries (unsuccesfully) to get some work done. After Saki involves Shiratori in taking care of the cat, she transforms back into Kozue only to transform into Nanako when a 3rd cat appears. Chiyuri shows up when the 4th cat appears and drops a pan on Kozue's head and Natsume appeared along with the 5th cat's arrival. When everyone has returned, and as the day is ending, the cat's owner finds the poster that Shiratori made and takes the cats back home and another fun day ends in the Narutakisou household.
Everyone's Day:
While at school learning about their new theme assignment, Shiratori wonders how everyone else spends their day. Suddenly, we are taken back to the beginning of the day with Sayoko. She sleeps, eats, then gets lost trying to bring Asami an umbrella. Next is Momo. She watches b-rated horror movies, goes out to buy a bento, eats it in the park, dozes off, then wakes up in the rain. Kozu and Tamami are next. After school, they go shopping for everyone's food and gets harrased by street punks who receives the punishment of heaven through Tamami. Shiratori, on his way home, is running in the rain when he comes across Sayoko who is still lost. Shiratori carries her home and the Narusakitou household eats together. Shiratori then decides that they don't act any differently when he's not around. The story ends and it was actually Mahiru watching all of it on TV through the footages that her maid has taken of the Narutakisou household for that day! Pausing at Asami's picture, she mumbles "big sister" as everything fades off.
At the School Festival
There is a school festival going on at Tamami and Kozue's school and they invite everyone at the Narutakisou to enjoy it. In the distance, Mahiru is also there and is surprised at what the normaly useless Sayoko can do. At Mahiru's home, the master of the house is infuriated to discover that Mahiru is trying to get close to Sayoko even after she has been told not to.

As Asami begins to discover more about her mother, Tachibana gives a report to Sayoko's father about Asami and the man that Sayoko married. Going to her room, she and Asami discovers the marriage arrangement photos and Mahiru discovers that Asami already knew about her not being Sayoko's real daughter. They then head to where Sayoko and her father is discussing her future and get there just in time to hear her reject the offer and decide to remain a single mother living with Asami at Narutakiou.
Among the Red Leaves:
Autumn has arrived and it is time for the residents of Narutakisou's annual red maple leaf viewing picnic. Their first advenure begins when Sayoko and Asami got left behind when they got on the train. Waiting for them in the next station, they didn't see them in the next train and did not get on only to discover that they were there when the train leaves. At the picnic, Sayoko and Asami gathers edible nuts from the park to help supplement that month's food stores for them. Then there is the picnic proper that involves a lot of drinking (especially by Momo). After that, they all play a game of touch hide and seek where Shiratori gets chosen as the oni (it) of the game. Heading back from the picnic, Shiratori wonders what everyone does for winter. Talking to Kozue, she wonders as well how long they can all remain that way. Back in the appartment, there is a mail for Momo and a fax for Haibara about him being chosen as a finalist.
Bell:
One day, Shiratori decides to find a part time job to be able to afford some stuff. Hearing that, Kozue helps him out by telling him that the vegetable man in the shopping district was looking for some help. With that, Shiratori applies for it and becomes the vegetable man's helper. The others are suspicious as to why he would need some money and finds out that it's for Kozue's upcoming birthday. Preparing for his return home, Kozue gets a call saying that Shiratori has been in an accident. Fortunately, Shiratori wasn't even hurt at all, but when they got back home, Kozue has gone into shock upon hearing about the accident because she instantly blamed herself for it like she did for her parents accidental death years ago. After finally waking up, they are shocked that Kozue hasn't woken up and she just keeps cycling through her other personalities.
The Night of Revelations:
With Kozue's original personality refusing to come out and her other personalities running, it just isn't the same in Narutakisou. Tamami has locked herself up in her room trying to figure out how to bring Kozue back out. From Haibara, Shiraoti learned that the other personalities came out after her parents died in an accident while on the vacation trip that Kozue won. Blaming herself, she created a shell around herself and the other personalities came out. They were the type of people that she wanted to become. To be assertive, pure as a child, fashionable, mysterious. Tamami, finally coming out of her room, confronts Shiratori. Does he really care for Kozue that much? Can he surpass how much she cares for Kozue, her best friend since she was a child? Can he allow the other personalities to vanish so that the real Kozue can come back? When Shiratori answers by saying that she does genuinely care for Kozue and refuses to sacrifice anyone and wants to find a way to bring her back without any sacrifices, Tamami realizes that his feelings are genuine and decides to leave Kozue to him. Trying to figure out what to do, Shiratori decides to do the only thing he can do for the moment - to finsh that story he started when he first came to Narutakisou.

As he continues his tale of Umeboshi-hime, the others began preparing a feast for Kozue's birthday party. nearing the end of his tale, Shiratori notices that Kozue's personality keeps cycling through faster and faster. Finally, it seems as if all four of them are talking at once as they seem to start to merge together. Finally, with the end of his tale, Kozue finally comes back. On the day of Kozue's birthday, everyone comes to celebrate it. Haibara's finalist status came to nothing after the company sponsoring the contest went bankrupt and Momo turns her boyfriend's marriage proposal until his dreams comes true and comes back to her. (Hentai)
Martian Successor Nadesico
The Earth is under attack by alien invaders from Jupiter called "The Jovian Lizards" using technology far superior to those of Earth's military. Nergal Heavy Industries, a weapons manufacturer, felt that the Earth's military is hopelessly outmatched and decided to take matters into their own hands by developing the most powerful ship ever- the Nadesico! Of course a great ship needs a great crew- the greatest ever, and that's what they got. Of course, that IS supposed to overshadow the fact that most of them are a bunch of loonies, madmen, ditzes, geeks, and otakus.
(Comedy/Sci-fi)
I just love my DVD set of Nadesico. Why? 'Cuz it's a great series (man those Gekigengar episodes really reminds me of Voltez V, Diamos, Voltron, etc.) Made mostly as a parody for giant robot shows (complete with Otaku pilots, an idol contest for the ship, space angst, and love triangles, er...square, no- pentagon, no, wait- heptagon at last count?), It is still one kick ass show in my humble opinion.
To Go Like a Man:
A year has passed since Mars has been invaded by the Jovian lizards and Nergal Heavy industries is assembling the finest crew to man the greatest battleship they have ever produced. Among them crew is cook/part-time pilot, and otaku pilot, mecha freak head mechanic, a voice actress communications officers, a 12 year old science officer, and a captain who happens to be an admirals ditzy daughter who is also a tactical genius.
Leave the Blue Earth to Me:
It seems that the Earth's military isn't pleased that there is a private battleship that is far more advanced than anything else in their arsenal and has decided that they will have it one way or another. To accomplish this task, they sent the one man who knows more about the Nadesico's captain than anyone else- Admiral Misumaru.
A Goodbye That Came Too
Soon:
The Nadesico's crew has successfully defended themselves against hostile takeover and their true mission to rescue the remaining Martian colonist begins. The only thing left for them to do is to break through Earth's defensive barrier. Piece of cake right?
Charmed by Aqua Space:
Gai Daigoji is dead and his death leaves Akito with feelings of uncertainty as to why they are doing any of this. On the rendezvous to the Space Station "L," Jovians attacks the station and only three pilots manage to survive the slaughter. Megumi, who was communicating with the station's communications officer just before the station was destroyed, is also wracked with the same uncertainties and she and Akito end up getting close to one another.
Ruri's Navigation Logs:
The crew of Nadesico, with nothing else to do, sets about fulfilling the tiny details of their contracts. For Yurika, part of the captain's duty is to do all of the funeral services of all Nergal employee who have died which means everyone in the colony that was blown up by the Jovians. Amidst all the funeral, Yurika begins questioning the importance of being a captain and places herself in isolation trying to find the meaning in her duties.
Sort of Like a Fateful Decision:
The Nadesico has successfully made it to Mars. Their first destination is a Nergal research facility that also doubles as a shelter. Akito and Megumi depart for Akito's home colony and learns that all the remaining survivors from Mars have gathered there. When the Nadesico gets there to rescue them, the colonists refuse to be rescued and to make matters worse, the Jovian fleet has arrived in numbers attacking the Nadesico forcing Yurika to make a dreadful decision- take the shots from the Jovians and risk the Nadesico exploding or raise the barrier and crush the surviving colonists.
The Song That You Will One Day Sing:
With the Nadesico badly damaged from it's last engagement, it is too badly damaged to escape Mars’ gravity well. Their destination is now the northern research facility with the hope that they might salvage a spare phase transition engine. On the way there, they discover the Crocus, one of the battleships that was sucked into a chulip when the Nadesico broke through the Earth's defenses. Akito also discovers that the admiral is the one who lead the ill fated defense against the Jovian fleet’s advance towards Mars. With the Jovian fleet closing in on them, the admiral takes command of the Crocus and forces the Nadesico through the chulip.
The Luke Warm "Cold
Equation":
When the Nadesico gets out of the chulip, they realize that several months have already passed and the UEA and Nergal has already reconciled it's differences. In the midst of a battle with the Jovian fleet, Akito is thrown off course and is lost to space. With the Nergal docked and requiring repair work, Yurika and Megumi decide to try and rescue him on a standard fighter. Unfortunately, Akito ends up rescuing them instead of the other way around and in doing so finds a reason why he should keep on fighting in the Nadesico.
The Miracle Operation of the Kiss:
The crew of the Nadesico, now cooperating with the United Earth Alliance military, has been sent to rescue a UEA investigator. All they have to do is sneak around a sub-zero environment and a web of Jovian chulip networks. Of course since they are just supposed to be sneaking around, they won't be very busy, meaning that half the crew is running around trying to find something to entertain themselves. This of course leads to chaos and screws up the plan about them sneaking around.
The Dangers of Femininity:
The Nadesico is sent to investigate and destroy the newest Chulip that has arrived on earth and it turns out to be on a beach on an island owned by the Crimson family. Of course this means that everyone starts playing around on the beach instead of trying to find the Chulip. This also allows Akito to meet a girl that just seems to be just like Aquamarine from Gekigengar which means that she's just about perfect in Akito's eyes. Perfect that is, until she reveals herself to be totally insane and actually activates the Chulip forcing the crew of Nadesico to end their vacation and get back to work.
Finding Yourself in a Routine Plot:
The Nadesico's new mission is to destroy a new Jovian weapon that the UEA has labeled "the walking stick." It is a weapon that has already destroyed the previous demolition team. When the plan to blow it away from afar with the Nadesico's Gravity cannon goes wrong leaving the Nadesico vulnerable, the Aestaevalis units are sent out to finish off the walking stick before it finishes the Nadesico. Akito, having seen episodes of Gekigengar about teamwork, wonders about the seemingly lack of teamwork in the Aestaevalis pilots as they go up against Jovian spiders attached to outdated tanks. As time almost runs out, Akito finally realizes that the Aestaevalis pilots do have teamwork, just in their own special way.
Those Unforgettable Days:
When a battle involves a large scale UEA military force and the Jovian fleet, the Nadesico suddenly starts targeting the UEA as well as the Jovians. The military investigators believe that the problem lies in the Omoikane, the Nadesico's sentient computer and that the solution is too completely delete the Omoikane. Ruri, Yurika, Aribataki, and Akito of course are not about to allow them to do so and have launched their own covert operation. It involves them messing with the Omoikane's self awareness core then deleting the military investigators program while giving them false readings.
There is No Single Truth:
The Nadesico has now been fully integrated into the military, has drafted everyone except Akito. Megumi has decided to go with him and spend Christmas alone together. With Akito now jobless, Erina, trying to develop a system that can be used to bosun jump a living organism without killing it, approaches Akito seeking his help in completing the system. Akito refuses of course until he sees his replacement get killed in battle which forces him to volunteer for an experiment to bosun jump the enemy unit attacking the city.
Let's Go with Hot Blooded Anime:

An episode of recaps from the viewpoint of the cast of Gekigengar.
The Significant Other from a Star Far Away:
The Nadesico's crew discovers that the Daimajin unit that attacked them on Earth, the one that they managed to destroy, is not one of the regular unmanned fighters. It is actually a manned fighter and the pilot has managed to sneak into the Nadesico. It is now up to the maintenance crew to look for the intruder so as not to alarm the rest of the crew and throw the Nadesico into a panic. Of course instead of really trying to look for the intruder, they end trying to sneak a peek into the women's locker room. Megumi and Minato, on the other hand, discover the intruder in Megumi's room and he turns out to be a whole lot different than the blood thirsty evil lizard that he had been painted to be.
The Beginning of Nadesico's War:
Megumi and Minato are held "prisoners" in the Jovian fleet's headquarters and find that the entirety of the Jovian culture is based on Gekigengar and that the history that they learned on earth is nothing more than a lie. In reality, the Jovians were originally Lunar colonists who have been banished to Mars then to the outer moons of Jupiter for Political reasons a hundred years ago. Their existence have since then been erased from the pages of Earth's history. Akito, on the other hand, is on the moon waiting for the Nadesico to pick him up. He still can't come to terms that he could have done something to prevent his replacement from getting killed and why the Jovians would do something atrocious. His single minded hatred against the Jovians and his inability to understand them finally destroys his relationship with Megumi.
A Reunion That Came too Late:

Unfortunately, while they are holding the contest, the Jovians decided to test out their new missile strategy against the Nadesico.
Run Silent, Run Deep:
The Nadesico is placed in a tight spot as a new Jovian battle ship unleashes a new weapon- a cannon that can boson jump explosives directly into its target, thereby by-passing the other ship's defensive gravity ship. With no chance to get close enough to cause any real damage to the other ship and the Nadesico not being able to withstand the assault, will this really by the end of the Nadesico?

Now it's up to Ruri to rally the crew of the Nadesico together again and set off for a final mission for mother earth, for humanity and for themselves. Easier said than done of course since they'll have to go through Nergal security forces and the UEA military.
Ubiquitous Righteousness:
With Tsukomu welcomed by the Nadesico's crew, they proceed to watch a marathon of Gekigengar to make him feel welcome which results in the crew getting hooked on Gekigengar fever. This convinces them even more that they should negotiate with peace. Unfortunately, when they arrive at the peace negotiations, they soon learn that the Jovian admiral doesn't want peaceful co-existence with Earth, he wants the total annihilation of Earth as his own perception of the justice he has gained from watching Gekigengar. In the process, Tsukomu is assassinated.

It's little Ai from the colony. Unfortunately, Akito doesn't make it in time when Ai is suddenly whisked away. At that point Inez reveals herself to actually be Ai- after Ai's bosun jump into the desserts of Mars where she was found by Nergal personnel 20 years ago. Upon returning to the Nadesico, it is decided that the best way to minimize casualties from the war is to take away and deny both sides from accessing the central controller of all bosun jumps.

Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture - Prince of Darkness
Two years have passed since the Great War - Akito and Yuriko have vanished. The Jovians and Earthlings have joined forces and Ruri is now captain of the Nadesico B. As the popularity of Boson Jumping grows, a vast transportation network has been developed. Dubbed The Hisago Plan, this network of Chulip portals holds the answers to the mysteries behind Bose particles and their power. If those secrets should fall into the wrong hands, it could mean big trouble and big trouble there is. A Martian splinter group has launched an offensive, leaving the Unified Forces befuddled and desperate. So much so, in fact, that the former crew of the Nadesico is called back to active duty for a special unsanctioned mission-to save us all. Does this menagerie of misfits have what it takes? Who will win the race for Boson technology? And what the heck happened to Akito and Yurika? The answers lie within; deep within the Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture- Prince of Darkness.
(Action/Adventure)
Gone here are a lot of the hi-jinx of the TV series, but there is still a plethora of them so don’t worry. Most of the original Nadesico crew members return with their usual personality quirks though. What this movie does, though, is tell you what happens after the TV series ends if you, like me, felt that the ending was a tad bit forced. If you like Nadesico the
TV series, go buy this one.
Masquerade
Gen hungers for sexy women, but every time he gets near them he transforms into a monster! Luckily, he's met a sexy scientist who's extremely interested in his condition. And she wants to start a more aggressive, hands on investigation! Can beauty tame this savage beast?
(Hentai/Mystery)
Not a very good summary above. It is actually a good series despite the hentai title. The English translations really cracks me up though. They keep on trying to insist that Gen is a lot older than he really is, but it doesn't really work if you have a little bit of Japanese knowledge (like me). They keep on saying that he is in college although they really just say school in Japanese and in college, students no longer wear uniforms like he and his classmates does. On another side note, Gen looks a lot like Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo. This is perhaps one of the rare hentai titles that I can recommend that you go get.
The Shadowy Face:
Gen, whose mother has recently died, returns to his grandmother's house in which he has not stepped in for over 12 years. On the way there, he runs into (or is ran over by) Jennifer Collins, an American graduate student who is interested in the rumors surrounding the Hiraga clan's bloodline and immortality. In his grandmother's place, he begins to remember pieces of a vague memory from a dream he has always had and a woman he had seen beneath the blossoming cherry tree in his grandmother’s house's front yard. During school, he is shocked to see that his academic advisor looks exactly like the woman in his dreams. Upon returning home from school, he finds Beatrice, the maid, passed out on the floor and she begs him to give her some of his "aqua permanence" when he manages to wake her up. And all this time, Jennifer has been listening on them for her answers.
Twilight:
Jennifer has contacted Gen and confronted him about the Hiraga bloodline. She tells him about the tragic fate of every member of the Hiraga clan and how it is all tied to one of their earliest ancestors who found the secret of immortality. In obtaining a sample from Gen for her experiments to figure out why every Hiraga clan member lead such tragically short lives and how it is connected to the secret of immortality locked within the DNA of the Hiraga blood, she finds out another side effect of the curse-turning Gen into a sex crazed beast. Ayumi witnesses Gen and Jennifer having sex and reports it to their teacher, Sakurako. Meanwhile, back in Gen's grandmother's mansion, Beatrice discovers the bugs that Jennifer has planted all over the house and decides to do something about Jennifer. She shows up at Jennifer's door and reveals the secret to her own immortality, but fails to persuade Jennifer due to the sun's effects on her. After dragging Beatrice back to Gen's grandmother, Sakura decides to ask her to work on the staff and help figure out a cure to the curse.
The Dark Love:
After seeing Sakurako underneath the same cherry tree like the dream that Gen always has, He decides to confront her about it during the sports festival and the stress activates the curse of the Hiraga bloodline again. When Gen is taken to the clinic, his eye starts glowing golden again and he attacks Mitsuki, Ayumi's mom and Ayumi sees the whole thing. Back at Sakura's mansion, Jennifer works hard in trying to figure out a cure to the curse as Gen's condition is getting worse and worse. Ayumi, seething in anger at what she had witnessed Gen and her mother doing, decides to confront him. She tells him to meet with her later that night by the pool. When Gen gets there, Ayumi tries to push him into the freezing cold pool and ends up in the pool herself instead of Gen. Confronting Gen about his behavior, Gen reveals to her the condition that he is afflicted with and Ayumi's wrath suddenly turns to a confession of love.
Maiden:
The secrets of the Hiraga clan is out and all the masks falls off. Jennifer uncovers the reason behind the Hiraga bloodline curse and Gen's grandmother asks her to take Gen with her when she returns so that she can find a way to cure him and break the curse forever. Meanwhile, both of Gen's eyes have turned golden and he is starting to lose control of himself. Sakurako manages to calm him down and bring him back to his grandmother's place and in there, after Gen somewhat recovers himself, his grandmother confirms what he has suspected all along-that Sakurako Rukihira is the woman that he has been dreaming of these past 12 years. Even more than that is the fact that she is the immortal ancestor of the Hiraga clan and perhaps the biggest secret of all is that she and the woman playing the role of his grandmother behind the mask are the same person.

MD Geist
Geist-002: Second Most Dangerous Soldier developed under the MDS Program. A genetically engineered soldier, Geist possesses superhuman abilities and extensive combat skills. Performed beyond projections in combat. Subject evaluated too unstable to be integrated into society. Permanently imprisoned aboard an orbital satellite.
(Action/Sci-fi)
Extremely horrible-do not even bother to look at the cover for this thing-seriously, it's THAT bad! I bought this because it was on sale for ten bucks and at the time, I didn't have much DVD's for my then newly bought Pioneer DVD player and there weren't many Anime DVD's (or DVD's in general for that matter) out yet. I found out why it was being sold for 10 bucks when all other DVD's were being sold for around 30 within the first minute-it sucked, plain and simple. The VAs are real bad-both English AND Japanese and the plot- wait, there's a plot for this piece of crap?
Director's Cut:
Geist has been set free from his orbital prison. He now wanders the land causing death and destruction to where ever he goes. His services are hired out to the army, but Geist has his own reasons for joining. He wants to unleash the Death Force robots and destroy the remaining humans on the planet.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
On the first day of class, as everyone was giving ordinary introductions, a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya gave this introduction, "I have no interest in ordinary humans. If you are an alien, time traveler, slider or esper, come to me. That is all." Chronicling her strange adventures through high school is a classmate of hers named Kyon - the only one who takes the time to talk to her and the only one she actually responds to, who happens to sit in front of her.
(Comedy)
A refreshing series in my opinion. It's rare to find a series like this that is a parody in itself, but subtly does it. Well worth seeing. Yes, go get it now.
The Adventure of Asahina Mikuru Episode 00:
Here we have a film chronicling the adventures of Asahina Mikuru, a combat waitress from the future who has come back to our present. In between working as a character girl who advertises the shopping district and fighting the forces of evil (Yuki as the evil space witch), she also has to protect Koizumi Itsuki, someone who will become a powerful Esper, who has yet to awaken. From bad editing, poor continuity, shoddy camerawork, technical problems, Haruhi's insane directions, and Kyon's smart-ass narration, this just might prove itself to be a winner after all.
This is actually the 11th episode of the series.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Episode 01:
When Kyon graduated from middle school and started high school, he resolved to stop believing in the supernatural and aliens. Of course, it is a bit hard with a girl named Haruhi Suzumiya who is only interested in those kinds of things and not in ordinary people. While people are either intimidated by her and the reputation of weirdness she has created in her middle school years or trying to recruit her for her athletic abilities in their sports club, she never did interact with anyone. That is, of course, until Kyon. When he noticed the pattern of her hair (to which there is a different style everyday), she slowly began to talk to him when no one else could. When she cannot find a club to satisfy her interests, she gets an idea from her conversation with Kyon to create a club of her own. With Kyon as an unwilling co-conspirator, Yuki Nagato, the only member of the literature club that Haruhi takes over to make her own club, and Mikuru Asahina, a sempai from the calligraphy club that Haruhi "convinces" to join her club so that her cuteness can attract other people in. Together, they are the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi brigade (SOS Brigade).
This is actually the 1st episode of the series. The mangas that Haruhi pulls out is actually Shuffle!
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Episode 02:
Kyon has been fully integrated into the SOS Brigade. At most, all he can hope to do is minimize Haruhi's insanity. Unfortunately, all he seems to be able to do is try to comfort Mikuru after Haruhi exploits her. Wanting a computer, Haruhi heads there with Mikuru and Kyon and demands a computer. When the president refused, she manages to make it look like he is trying to rape Mikuru and threatens to spread pictures of him "caught in the act" of molesting Mikuru. With a computer and LAN connection via the computer club, Kyon is charged with making a site about a club he knows nothing about. That afternoon, Haruhi comes up with another strategy of recruiting people. She and Mikuru (against Mikuru's will of course) will be handing out flyers at the front gate wearing bunny suits. Of course, the stunt causes them to get called in the teacher's office and Mikuru bursts into tears. The next day, Mikuru is so traumatized by the previous day that she skips school. Without Mikuru to at least dress up, Haruhi gets bored and goes home. Kyon, heading home himself, is asked by Yuki if her read the book she loaned him the day before and tells him to read the book. Reading it when he got home, a bookmark with a message saying that she will be waiting for him at 7:00. Heading out, Kyon finds out that she was also waiting for him the day before. In her apartment, she tells Kyon that she lives by herself and like Haruhi, she is different from normal humans like himself and Mikuru. Yuki explains that she IS an alien!

Managing to fend off in the bottom of the inning, With Haruhi no longer bored, they decide to give the victory to the other team, much to their gratitude. The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Episode 03:
Yuki Nagato has just revealed to Kyon that she is an alien, or rather, a human interface for an alien race that is an intelligent race that doesn't have a physical form. 3 years ago, there was a sudden influx of knowledge within the third planet of the solar system and that phenomenon is somehow centered around Haruhi. Thus, she was created 3 years ago and sent to observe Haruhi. Leaving that aside, Haruhi gets what she wants and a new transfer student shows up. With Mikuru back after her traumatic experience, Koizumi Itsuki is introduced into the club as the 5th member of the SOS Brigade. Remote Island Syndrome Part 01:
When Haruhi decides that the SOS Brigade needs to have an overnight trip, Itsuki offers up a remote deserted island that a distant relative of his owns. The mansion itself has just been completed. Kyon goes along with them along with his little sister in tow who demanded to come along. Even though he has come along, he is still wary about the place that has been chosen since it belongs to an associate of Itsuki and the idea belonged to Haruhi - especially since Haruhi is itching for a murder mystery atmosphere the likes of those in murder mysteries. The first day seemed normal enough as the club enjoyed the beach and the various attractions of a remote island and ends without any incidents occurring to any of them. During the second day, a storm breezes through forcing them to stay on the island until it blows over since the seas are too rough for the boat. Kyon begins to worry a bit since it is starting to become what he and Itsuki were talking about. The island has been isolated by the storm just like in a real murder mystery. Even worse, the morning of their third day, the owner's brother disappears and the butler and maid are at a loss as to where he could have gone on a remote island. On top of that, the owner of the island can't be reached and he has locked himself inside his room. They decide to force their way in the room. Kyon, Itsuki and butler breaks down the door to the master's room only to find a grisly discovery - the master of the island has been murdered and the knife used in the murder is still sticking in his chest...just like a scene out of a murder mystery!
This is actually the 9th episode of the series.

Mysterique Sign:
Following the ads that Kyon placed all over the school, the SOS Brigade gets their first client seeking help and advice and she turns out to be the girlfriend of the president of the Computer Research Society whom Haruhi blackmailed into getting a computer from. The prez has not been heard from for a while now and she can't contact him. Going to his apartment, everything seems to be in order, but upon Yuki and Itsuki's insistence, Kyon gets everyone to go home. Later on, everyone meets up in there again without Haruhi. There seems to be a type enclosed space in the room and the prez is likely trapped inside it. Yuki opens it up and it turns out that an information based life form is in there and is using the prez's brain to increase the chances of it existing in the real world. Defeat the creature and the enclosed space collapses on its own. With Itsuki on the offensive and Yuki on the defense, they manage to destroy the creature, free the prez, and return everything back to normal. Later on, they discover that the source of the trigger for the creature was the logo that Haruhi created for the website and although it is a tiny sign, something caused it to contain an entire petabyte of information, causing the creatures to wake up and start moving. With the incident resolved, Kyon wonders if it is another incident caused by Haruhi without even knowing it or if Yuki is the one that caused it because she is lonely.
This is actually the 8th episode of the series. The preview is supposed to be made just like those of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, right down to the single red character.

The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi Part 02:
Trying to figure out the murder, Kyon and Haruhi decides to go outside and see for themselves if the boat is still there and discovers that is gone. It would seem that the brother is the perpetrator behind the murder, but why was the corpse still warm when he left a little after 1 am that night. Going back, they see a weird shadow and follow it to a cave and Haruhi gives her guess. The knife didn't go deep enough to kill, but enough to stun. When they tried to break in that morning, the victim wakes up, fearing that it is his brother trying to finish him off, locks the door and falls on the knife. Of course, it doesn't explain why he was face up when they found him. Later on, Itsuki gives a more plausible explanation off the owner waking up stunned, locks the door and gets knocked back from the impact of them knocking the door down and getting the knife shoved in the process. For Kyon, something is still not right with the plausible solution to the murder. Taking Haruhi with him, the two of them manage to distract the butler and get victim’s corpse whom they manage to admit that the "corpse" is still alive. In the end, it turned out to be something that Itsuki concocted with his associates to keep Haruhi from getting bored.

Of course, Haruhi has a way of attracting trouble to her and poor Kyon is the one who is usually stuck in dealing with them. When he gets a message asking to meet him after school, he wonders who it is and it turns out to be Asakura Ryoko, from his and Haruhi's class. Unfortunately, she has revealed herself to be an alien like Yuki and has decided that it would be boring to just let Haruhi continue in her state of stagnation and the best way to get her to do something would be to do something that would disturb her. She has also decided that the best way to disturb her would be to kill Kyon and see how she will react to it! With the entire space that represents the classroom under her command, Kyon seems to be destined for a sweet dose of death when Yuki breaks through the barrier and comes to his aid. It seems as if both Ryoko and Yuki come from the same Data Integration Thought Entity - in other words, they are the same type of being! Ryoko was supposed to be Yuki's backup, but as things turned out, there is a dissenting voice within the Entity. Yuki manages to kill Ryoko and restore all the damage that she has done, but not after taking in massive amounts of damage to herself. Repairing the damage, Yuki also manipulates data to make it seem as if Ryoko merely transferred to Canada. The next day, Kyon receives another letter asking to meet with him. This time around, its from Mikuru. Heading to the club room, Kyon meets a woman who looks like Mikuru except older. It is Mikuru from a later point in time than the one he spends time with. She reminisces about her youth spent with Haruhi and Kyon and gives him a warning referencing Snow White before leaving. As all this is going on, all Haruhi is concerned with is the mystery of why Ryoko would transfer out so suddenly and why there is so much mystery to the actual event.

The Day of Sagittarius:
The Computer Club, still sore about getting blackmailed out of a computer and sore about regaining their dignity after that incident, decides to go to the SOS Brigade. Giving them a copy of the game that they created - the "Day of Sagittarius III," the Computer Club challenges them to the game and gives them a week to practice with the game before the fated match. Should they win, the SOS Brigade has to give back the computer they "received" from them. If they win, however the SOS Brigade gets 4 laptops - one for each member. Practicing over and over again, they keep loosing against the computer because Haruhi is too impatient and keeps on charging in. While Kyon insist that they do not use any cheats, Yuki seems to be enjoying herself. At the appointed time, the only ones that seem to be able to contribute to the strategy are Kyon, Itsuki and Yuki. Getting creamed by the Computer Club, Yuki begins to type furiously and found out that the Computer Club has been cheating them. Allowing her to turn the tide and force the Computer Club to play by the rules, Kyon allows Yuki to tweak the program within the parameters of the game and takes away the cheat of the Computer Club. Without the cheat, the SOS Brigade easily creams them. In the end, the SOS Brigade gets 4 new laptops while the Computer Club president tries to recruit Yuki into his club. With Kyon's approval, Yuki agrees to drop by from time to time and learn more about the information contained within their computers.

Live A Live:
The time has come for the school festival and Kyon, having already fulfilled his duty to the SOS Brigade by handing out the film they made to the film committee, wanders around to enjoy the festival while Haruhi wanders around in her bunny girl outfit promoting the SOS Brigade. He visits Yuki's fortune telling booth where Yuki is actually telling people what will happen to them after they leave her booth in detail. He also sees Ituski's class' stage performance and after that, it off to see Mikuru and Tsuruya in their waitress outfit as they serve Yakisoba and water. Later on, it's off to the stage where Kyon dozes off until he catches a glimpse of Haruhi, still in her bunny girl outfit getting on stage with Yuki, still in her magician's outfit. Surprisingly, Haruhi is actually quite good in her role as a replacement singer for the group whose lead singer got tonsillitis and guitarist got into an accident and twister her wrist. Later on, with people praising and giving their gratitude to her, Haruhi is unsure of what to make of it. Kyon attribute this to her never getting praise due to all the eccentricities she displays and the pranks that she pulls. When Kyon cheers her up, Haruhi gets an idea to come up with their own band for the next school festival, much to Kyon's annoyance.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Part 05:
Haruhi drags Kyon along to investigate the disappearance of Asakura Ryoko. In the apartment where she used to live, Kyon notices that it is the same apartment compound that Yuki lives in. There, Haruhi finds out that no one has ever seen Ryoko's parents and that she is apparently rich. She also came to live there 3 years ago and she moved out without the caretaker seeing any movers picking up her stuff. On the way out, they meet Yuki who tells Kyon to be careful. Out by the train tracks, Kyon gets a little clue from Haruhi on what triggered her "awakening" although Haruhi herself haven't realized it yet. Getting back to his house, he finds Itsuki waiting for him there. He takes him away to give him the proof of him being an esper. On the way to that "certain" place, he explains some things to him about Haruhi, the espers, and the world as they understood it. When they reached the place where Itsuki can show his proof, it turned out to be a closed space - a space cut off from the normal world that occurs whenever Haruhi is in a bad mood. Within this closed space, a blue plasma giant appears and begins to wreak everything apart and it has fallen to espers like Itsuki to put a stop to these giants. If left unchecked, the closed space increases in size and begins to consume everything in it's path. Taking him back home, Itsuki advices him to make sure that nothing causes a disturbance in Haruhi's mental state.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Part 06:
Haruhi's boredom and disdain for the world has reached an all time high and she just doesn't seem to get into a good mood anymore. One day, after going to sleep, Kyon wakes up with Haruhi waking him up and finds that he and Haruhi are wearing their school uniform in a closed space resembling their school. Wandering around, Kyon stays behind in the club room while Haruhi excitedly does some exploring. While by himself, Koizumi appears in front of him and although a bit insubstantial, he begins to explain things to him. The closed space that they are in now is not the normal one that he and his esper friends fix all the time. In fact, to be able to appear in front of him like that, it took all of their combined strength to do it. They are now in a new world created by Haruhi. Before Itsuki vanishes, he manages to tell him to turn on the computer. Turning on the computer, he finds out that he can talk to Yuki. From her, he gets some advice before she gets cut off and from the clue that she gave him, Snow White, Kyon remembers Mikuru's future self's advice to remember the story of Sleeping Beauty. When the giants appears and begins destroying things, Kyon runs off with Haruhi. He tries to convince Haruhi to return to the world they came from, but she doesn't want to return. Instead, she wants to remain there with him and meet Yuki, Mikuru and Itsuki once more in that world - meaning that she will recreate them there. Running out of time, Kyon confesses that he really liked her the first time they met when she was wearing a pony tail and kisses her. Enveloped in light, Kyon soon wakes up wondering if everything was just a dream or not. When he went to school, he finds out that everything that happened was real and Haruhi is there with a pony tail thinking of that weird dream she had. With that incident behind them, everything begins to return to normal as Kyon finalizes everything about the SOS Brigade with the student council and plans to tell Haruhi about aliens, time travelers and espers one day.

Melody of Oblivion
A great war took place in the 20th century. It was a full blown war between humans and monsters. Words alone cannot describe the horrible violence that ensued. And in the end, the monsters were victorious. Days passed, a new century began and slowly, people began to forget that melody. But those who wouldn't give up and fight for their lives continue to play their melody. Run, ye who seek their true freedom with that harsh knowledge until you go beyond and reach your destination like an arrow that pierces the world.
(Action)
I was told that this is made by the same group of people who did Utena without the director. A lot of weird crap happens through out the series, which makes it pretty kewl in my humble opinion. In here, the world is ruled by monsters. Everything looks normal, except children are sacrificed to monsters every so often and the world is ruled by monsters who rules it through monster agents - humans who have given their lives to the monsters. To combat them, people become Melos Warriors - a human who can see the image of the Melody of Oblivion and seek out its true location, and thus gain power to fight the monsters. Watch this at least ones. Lots of WTF moments.

Mezzo DS
(Action/Comedy)
This 13 episode series takes place after the OVA (and not hentai that the full version of the OVA was). This time, they have a little kid totting along who was so impressed by Mikura that she wants to become just like her. If you loved the action and the humor of the OVA, you will definitely love this. The coincidences leading to humorous moments and the outlandish action sequences are still here. I recomend this for a rental.

The DSA (Danger Service Agency) has been hired by a mysterious woman to find a certain man before he finds the man that he is looking for and commits murder to avenge a woman murdered over a decade ago. It turns out that the murder has been struck with an illness and has completely forgotten all of his crimes as the statute of limitation is about to run out on his crime, which is what has prompted the man they are looking for to take action. Upon tracking the two of them, the DSA learns that the woman who hired them is also there with them and that she is just a ghost wandering around to prevent a man that she had loved from commiting murder in her name!
:
When Kurokawa's favorite weather reporter shows up in their front steps asking for help in searching for a strange man that she has met and only spent a brief amount of time with, the DSA cannot refuse. She believes that the man she is searching for might be an alien and she just might be right. Unfortunately for them, another proclaimed alien is also searching for that man and he has the key to an invasion plans of an alien race bent on conquering the earth through flooding! Mikura and Harada can attest to this fact since bullets doesn't seem to work on him and he can easily overpower Mikura (who can toss people through brick walls without even exerting herself). In the end, the DSA saves the day by driving the alien hunter back, reuniting the to star crossed lovers, and deactivating the alien invasion machine.

The DSA is hired to do a job as a courried for a rather questionable suitcase. The money is VERY good though and they decide that they'll take such an easy job that pays a client is willing to pay a ridiculously high amount of cash for. Unfortunately, things are not as they seem as Mikura and Harada are soon pointed as the thief who has stolen a new strain of highly virulent and contagious bacterial strain. Trying to figure out what to do before the refrgiration unit on the briefcase shuts down and activated the bacteria, they also have to deal with henchmen trying to steal the container from them - henchmen working for the client that hired them in the first place! Now that they have taken the role of patsy, he doesn't need them around anymore and can sell it easily to other contries. That also means that he doesn't need them around anymore! Of course, wanting to eliminate the DSA and having it done are two completely different things - especially with a really pissed off Mikura.

Harada is depressed at learning that Mikura is going out for the day on a date with an old friend that she hasn't seen in over three years. Because of this, he decides to go out with Kurokawa on a "business meeting" with the Black Scissors who has introduced a client to them. With a good pay and the DSA needing funds after their car got totaled in the last episode, Kurokawa and Harada decides to take the job of stalking a woman to see if she is having an affair. Of course, Harada gets the full brunt of the bad luck as he looses the suspect when he is punched in the face by a woman who thought that he is a pervert. Finding her trail again, he heads for a night club where he meets that same woman again and she causes a scene causing the man that the woman he is following to get suspicious and open fire on the club. Looking for him, they end up in an abandoned factory where they get captured. That is when they find out what is really going on. The woman has stopped talking to her husband and started to act strangely 3 days ago because she was murdered 3 days ago and replaced with a sex android who was planted to steal corporate secrets from the husband. With a bit of skill and luck, Harada and Kurokawa manage to escape certain death, destroy the rampaging sex androind, and chase down the hapless android engineer turned thug only to find him knocked out by Mikura whom he ran over by chance and pissed off.

Mezzo Forte
Mezzo Forte is brought to you by the same guys that did Kite. It is all about this group of problem solvers who will do almost anything, legal or illegal, for a price. This time around, they may have bitten off more than they can chew when they accept a job to kidnap a baseball team owner who is actually a mob boss. With people gunning after them, it is only a matter of time before they or the mob boss' family are all killed.
(Action/hentai)
Pretty good show actually. If they didn't have those two rape scenes (that technically didn't happen since one was in a dream and the other was with a robot), it could be something that I would be willing to show everyone. Then again, I believe that there is an edited version out there without those two scenes. It cracks me up how people get slapped in the face and they start bleeding badly and fly all the way across the room! How about this one generic bad guy who gets kicked and he goes through a brick wall and out the building? Yeah, go watch it-it's good for a bag o' laughs! If you want to share it with the family, there is a version without the hentai scenes too.

The traveling musical group, The Pussycats, is the hottest thing around. Lou, Kei, and Sonya are three sexy singers with a legion of screaming fans in every town. Unbeknownst to their fans, The Pussycats are also female assassins who will kill anyone if the price is right. Their next target is a despotic king who rules by fear and crushes dissension with an iron fist. But one of the Pussycats, it’s not just another job…it’s personal.
(Action-hentai)
Has quite a bit of sex on it, but it really isn't something that I'd consider hentai since having sex is not the main plot and this one has an actual plot. Pretty good story actually-quite...interesting. Worth renting once or so.
I'll Love You to Death:
Lou, Kei, and Sonia are given their next target - the evil king Bad of the Blue Dragon Kingdom. For Lou, it’s something personal that she just has to deal with herself.
I Give You a Kiss of Eternity:
The conclusion. Lou has gained access to her brother's room and is ready to strike, but will she be able to do it (huh-huh, he said do it Beavis) or will the bonds of blood and fond memories of childhood prove to strong to overcome?

One day, their destinies intertwine when Seiji wakes up and finds that instead of a right hand, he has Midori for a right hand!?! Confused? So were they!
(Comedy)
Midori no Hibi is pretty funny. I liked this series even though it is a bit short. I wish there were more. They could have made more since the manga is still ongoing. But, I digress. Yes you should see this series!

Millennium Actress is such a good film. It doesn't have much of a rerun value though. A must watch, so my suggestion is that you go out and rent now!
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team
This is a side story of the original timeline (it even has Gharma Zabi’s eulogy from the TV series being played on TV in the very first episode) in the perspective of the common soldier fighting in the front lines. Also, the mobile suits are called Gundams, but technically, they‘re not Gundams. Their design is based on the prototype Gundam, but they don’t have Gundanium alloy in their armor so....
(Action/Drama/Romance/Sci-fi)

With this information, Michel and Kiki follows their trail to the north where they eventually catch up to the both of them.
Miller’s Report:
This “movie” of the 08th MS Team isn’t really a movie. It’s actually a 50 minute long recap episode set between “Duty and Ideals” and “Front Line” as told from the perspective of Alice Miller, an intelligence agent who has been sent to prove that Shiro is a Zeon spy and a traitor. The only additional scenes of importance includes one from when Aina and Shiro were rescued, Shiro being ordered by Captain Kojima on the mission the 08th team takes during “Front Line,” and Eledore’s return to the 08th team from the hospital.

Moldiver
(Adventure/Comedy/Sci-fi)
One of the early Pioneer (now called Geneon) in America (along with Tenchi Muyo OVA, El-Hazard first OVA, Phantom Quest Corp and Hakken Kreuze), it is a somewhat endearing story and definitely worth a look at to see the early days of Pioneer/Geneon in the American anime market. Moldiver is pretty much your stock teenage superheroine doing superhero work on the side. Go ahead and rent this one.

(Action/Adventure/Drama)
It's a pretty good movie for the Naruto series. About average as movies goes though in my opinion. It's worth taking a look at. It is more or less like the series, except more to the point and without any fillers. Yeah, check this title out at least ones and it will definitely entertain you.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
In the year 2000, a huge meteor collides with the arctic ice caps at near the speed of light. The resulting impact, called second impact, results in the melting of the ice caps, raising of the sea level, and the death of half the human population. In truth, the meteor story was just a cover for something else. The truth of the matter is that the first angel, called Adam, was found there and in the process of studying and experimenting on if, it goes berserk and destroys the arctic. After 15 years, of humanity rebuilding itself, the angels have returned. All of them seeking out Adam and the result of them getting close to him might theoretically lead to a third impact and could wipe out the rest of humanity. It is now up to a group of 14 year olds-those conceived at the time of the second impact to pilot giant robots made from technology conceived from what was learned from Adam to defend against the alien attack and protect the world.
(Action/Drama)
Evangelion is pretty kewl. Yes, it is one of those landmark series and as a result, we have a lot of idiot fanboys who worship it as the gospel. I personally have gotten into arguments against idiots who claim that Gainax really did have access to the Dead Sea Scroll to make Evangelion or that the Lance of Longinus in series is actually the way that the real spear of destiny is like. Yes, go buy it. It would make a good addition to any collection, just as long as you don't start putting the series in an altar and praying to it.

When they start the attempt, something goes horribly wrong and the entry plug opens up and the only thing inside is LCL liquid and Shinji's empty plug suit. Misato crushed at Shinji's disappearance, cries as she hugs the empty plug suit. Suddenly, Shinji rematerializes unconscious on the floor next to Misato.

At Least, Be Humane/Don’t Be
Asuka’s past is revealed and with it, what drives her. Later on, Shinji catches another aspect of her personality as she talks to her mother who has called her from Germany. All this time though, due to losing to Shinji several times, Asuka’s confidence is continually eroding as time passes on and her sync ratio with the EVA is declining. When the 15th angel appears in outer space, Unit 02 heads the charge and waits for the chance to attack whenever it gets closer. Unfortunately, it attacks from orbit and shoots a beam that begins unraveling and analyzing Asuka’s mind. When Unit 00 tries to break the angel’s hold on Asuka with a sniper shot from the positron riffle, it fails completely. Asuka’s mind becomes unstable as the angel breaks down her mind and replays her memories. To prevent the loss of Unit 02, Commander Ikari authorizes Rei to use the Lance of Longinus.
Tear/Rei III
Asuka’s defeat has caused major damage to her confidence and the perception of her self-worth. She has stopped going to school and spends most of the time with Hikari. When the 16th angel attacks NERV HQ, she cannot sync with it and Rei is left alone to deal with the angel as it completely overwhelms her defenses and penetrates her mind. When Unit 01 is taken out of stasis and sent to assist Unit 00, the angel immediately goes after Unit 01 the moment it unfolded its AT Field. To prevent the angel from contaminating Unit 01 and Shinji, Rei sacrifices herself and Unit 00. Shinji visits Rei in the hospital and learns that she doesn’t remember anything and he and Misato learns the truth about her when Ritsuko shows them the secret of the dummy plug. The reason why she can’t remember is because this Rei is not the Rei that they’ve known all this time. In fact, she’s probably the third Rei Ayanami...

The Final Messenger/The Beginning and the End, or “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.”
With Unit 00 destroyed and Asuka in a coma, Shinji and Unit 01 are the only ones left. The personnel at NERV HQ are still awaiting the 17th and final angel to attack. In the meantime, SEELE has sent another pilot to NERV- Kaworu Nagisa, the 5th child. Misato is a bit mystified as Kaworu seems to have the ability to set his sync ratio at any level he chooses which prompts her to investigate Kaworu. During this time, Kaworu befriends Shinji and has become someone that Shinji leans on. Finally, when Misato learns the truth about Kaworu, that he is the 17th angel, it is already too late. He has hijacked Unit 02 and is headed straight for Heaven’s Gate and Adam. Unit 01 and Shinji, feeling betrayed, goes after him. With Unit 02 protecting him, Kaworu gets past Heaven’s Door and reaches Adam. Upon seeing the angel crucified behind Heaven’s Door, he realizes that it is actually Lilith and not Adam. When Shinji finally catches up to him, Kaworu tells him that he is glad to have met him and that death is the only true freedom that there is. Only one deserves the future and humanity is not the one that should vanish, Kaworu informs Shinji and smiles as Unit 01 rips off his head...

The End of the World/Do You Love Me?:
The world has ended-yes that is correct. *For further information, see Evangelion movies 2 and 3.* The Human Instrumentality Project has been initiated. Shinji, Misato, Rei and Asuka are questioned about everything they sought to hide about themselves and their individual perspective of the world is challenged.
The Beast That Shouted “I” at The Heart of The World/Take Care of Yourself
The Human Instrumentality Program continues to run, although Shinji is the only one being questioned here. As he realizes that thnigs only appear as bad little by little, he is shown an alternate world in which his value doesn't rely on him being an EVA pilot. He gradually learns to accept himself as he is as he realizes that the world isn't really that bad.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death (Movie 1)
At the dawn of the new millennium, mankind has awakened a threat unlike any faced before- the Angels. Conventional weapons are useless against them. They can only be stopped by means of the Evangelions- bio engineered vessels born from the Angel's own technology. But this forbidden knowledge is also the key to bringing about a startling new genesis for the human race. Placed in the hands of three young pilots, the final fate of humanity resting upon their shoulders, the Evas are the world's last hope...
(Action/Adventure/Drama)
The first movie is actually nothing more than the recap of the TV series. If you already know the TV series, don't bother with this. The only good thing about watching this is that it does have some extra scenes of minor importance- like from the time when Adam blew up. Other than that, don't bother with this.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Rebirth (Movie 2)
Asuka lies in a coma, Unit 00 has been destroyed, and the final Angel has been eliminated. With all obstacles out of the way, SEELE has decreed that it is time to initiate the "Human Instrumentality Program" by starting 3rd Impact. They have ordered the UN to launch an all out attack on Tokyo 3 and on Nerv. Just in time, Asuka wakes up and single handedly destroys the UN army attacking the Nerv base. The destruction of the UN army at the hands of Unit 02 has prompted SEELE to unleash the mass produced EVAs with a built in S2 organ and Kaworu dummy plugs. Asuka takes them all on and wins until at the last moment, her batteries run out and all the Evas she destroyed regenerate themselves and rip Unit 02 apart. Shinji gets out in Unit 01 just in time to see Units 05-13 eating the pieces of Unit 02.
(Action/Drama)
If you have seen all of Eva and are extremely confused at the ending like everyone else, You need to see this and the 3rd movie. Strange thing about the DVD releases though is that the first half of this is in the first DVD release “Death and Rebirth,” but it is also found in “End of Evangelion”-the complete version. That means that you can opt to just get the second DVD.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion (Movie 3)
Upon seeing Unit 02 destroyed, Shinji's mind begins to crumble. At that exact moment, Rei merges with Lilith once again after taking Adam's embryo from Gendo Ikari and has begun melting away the At field of all living creatures and collecting their souls. At the same time, Unit 01 and the rest of the mass produced Evas have begun 3rd impact. Shinji is shown what his life has been with Misato, Rei, and Asuka as his guide and what it could be, and is given the final choice of giving humanity another chance or turning his back on it. Shinji ultimately decides that humanity is still worth saving and rejects the world in which all humans are as one. He wakes up in the aftermath of 3rd impact right next to Asuka in an Adam and Eve type new beginning.
(Action/Drama)
Yes, you must watch this if you have ever seen the TV series. No need to even think about it. You will need to see this!

This is the adeventure of Shido, a private detective for hire who also happens to be a vampire, his imp sidekick, Yayoi, a detective who is also his blood supplier, and Riho, his assistant whom he saved from a demonic attack and has an infatuation with him. An ok series, I wish I could have seen more of it. I also wish that the characters and the series have been developed more. |

Night Warriors: Darkstalker’s Revenge
(Action)
Based on the arcade fighting game, it is actually a pretty decent anime. I can't believe that some mail order companies were selling these for 80 bucks an episode before it went official in the US. Pretty good series all in all. If you like fighting Anime or played the game before, you should go buy this. It would be a nice addition to your collection.
I: The Return Of The Darkstalkers:
It is a world in which monsters travel the world all over terrorizing helpless humans. It is a land in which humans cower in fear, hoping that the sun will someday shine in the sky once again. Meet the Vampiric Lord Demitri Maximoff, the lovely Morrigan Aesland, the curious Cat-Woman Felicia, the mostly silent half-human, half darkstalker monk Donovan and the mysterious Anita.
II: Blood Of Darkness, Power Of Darkness:
Donovan carries the blood and powers of the Dark Ones, yet he loathes himself because of that fact. Though the powers he commands are quite impressive, he can feel hatred in himself whenever he uses them. He seeks salvation for his soul through the destruction of the Dark Ones. With Anita by his side and Hsien-Ko and Mei-Lin following him, will he attain the sense of peace and purpose that he so desperately searches for?
III: Pyron Descending:
Mei-Lin and Hsien-Ko reminisce about their youth and the mother that they so dearly love. The reason for why they chose to travel the path they tread upon is revealed. Ninja Resurrection
Join a nightmarish journey through faith and betrayal as the infamous warrior, Jubei, returns to confront the ultimate evil!
(Action/Horror)
An incomplete series. It might have been remotely interesting, but the plot gets cut off short. Never fully developed, I don't recomend this at all. There is a live action version out there though. Called Reborn From Hell or something like that, probably the best way to find out what happened here if you are like me who blindly bought this when it first came out because it was introduced as the sequel to Ninja Scroll.
The Revenge of Jubei:
Japan, 1614, the Tokugawa Shoganate bans the practice of Christianity and ruthlessly slaughters its adherents. The scattered survivors place their fate in a prophecy of salvation: a Child of Heaven will be born to deliver the faithful from their enemies. Yet, hidden within the same prophecy is a dark omen. For it is written that should the promised savior falter, he will be reborn as Satan. Now a new leader, Shiro Amakusa, has arisen to challenge the Shogun’s power. The followers of Christ believe their savior has appeared. However, unspeakable treachery lurks within the Christian stronghold, as the blood-soaked horror of the prophecy is unleashed.
Hell's Spawn:
The nightmare continues. Demons stand in the shadows, poised to sate their lust with the blood of the innocent. Some have returned for blood. Some for sex. And some for revenge. But this bloodletting is just the beginning-a brief overture heralding the rebirth of Satan. Jubei feels the evil awakening. Strange dreams haunt him. Banished from his father’s home. Jubei seeks the true wisdom of the samurai. In this, he is not alone. Cloistered high in the mountains, the legendary Musashi Miyamoto also seeks the strength of peace. Musashi too senses the darkness of the coming days. These warriors have pledged never to kill again. But as hell’s fury draws near, with Satan himself leading the way…down which path does honor lie?
Ninja Scroll
Jubei is a masterless ninja who travels the land alone, hiring his services out to those with gold… or a worthy cause. His fearsome abilities have served him well, but a hideous plot to overthrow the government threatens to end his wandering ways and possibly his life. When a small village succumbs to a terrible plague, a team of ninjas is sent to investigate and they soon realize that all is not as it seems. Ambushed, they are wiped out by a fearsome man-monster with incredible powers, leaving only one alive- Kagero, a beautiful female ninja whose touch can bring instant death. Jubei saves her from a fate worse than death and unwittingly becomes drawn into a web of treachery. He is soon faced with his greatest challenge, an enemy for whom death holds no fear with the power to destroy Jubei’s world. It’s an all-out bloodbath when ninja warriors come face to face in this action-packed tribal war.
(Action/Drama/Intrigue)
If you ever loved those badly dubbed Saturday Kung Fu flicks, you should definitely go get this one. It's a samurai drama combined with super powers. A decent action flick, not deeply profound or anything like that, but delivers action as promised, and that is what matters. This is also where one of the things I say so much that it just annoys my buds at the anime club (Hey, Bon, where's Thai? Oh, he's dead. They are all dead...in Shimoda Village!). Yeah, you should add this to your collection.
Noir
(Action/Drama)
Noir is pretty awesome. Lots of people getting killed. Some of them in the most interesting and kick ass way. My only gripe is that it can be terribly slow at times, but for me, the action scenes makes up for it. I just hate that flashback scene with Mirielle though. It feels like it comes on at least once every freaking episode. You won't regret getting this series in my opinion.
This anime is definitely on my top ten list of all time favorite anime. The visuals are stunning, the soundtrack is one of the best I've EVER heard, and the action and the story envelop you in its web of mysteries. The only complaint I have about Noir is that flashback sequence. GAHHHH!! It felt like they went through it every 5 minutes! Just fast forward through those and you should be fine.

While Ono's not afraid of a little hard work, he is not about to let it interfere with his sex life. Ono is still confident that he can handle the toughest job and his girlfriend at the same time. While Rie, his frisky girlfriend from the administration department remains supportive of his new promotion, it's only a matter of time before jealousy rears its ugly head. Ono's new female manager, Sugiyama. Is respected and admired for her management skills and her voluptuous body. Ono assures Rei that he has no interest in his middle- aged workaholic boss. However, when the work piles up tensions explode.
(Hentai)
Not much of a story here. Ono works, does hi girlfriend, does his boss, finds out his boss likes group sex, gets addicted to having sex with his boss with several other men. Nothing remarkable about it. Not horrible, but not remarkable either. No need to seek it out, but if it's there, might as well try watching it.

Oh My Goddess!
Kousuke Fujishima’s lighthearted comedic tale of a lucky mortal who has been granted his heart’s fondest wish and the goddess who loves him.
(Comedy/Romance)
This is a pretty good series-that is, until you’ve read the manga, then you realize just how lame it is. Belldandy in the manga is so much better and Keiichi does have some backbone. In here, we never get to see Belldandy’s ditzy, impish, or jealous side. As a matter of fact, she turns into a doormat in the OVAs with a “walk all over me please" stenciled into her forehead. It’s still pretty good though despite that. Go ahead and rent this.
Moonlight And Cherry Blossoms:
College freshman Keiichi Morisato gets more than he bargains for when he goes dialing for dinner and gets an unexpected delivery- Belldandy, a real live, honest to goodness GODDESS! Belldandy grants him a wish, and Keiichi decides what he really needs is a girlfriend just like Belldandy. And that’s exactly what he gets. The mysterious Ultimate Force that enforces all Wish Contracts comes into play, and Keiichi and Belldandy are now inseparable. That’s when Keiichi remembers that his dorm has a strict rule: NO WOMEN ALLOWED! Can Keiichi and Belldandy find a new place to live? Will everyone buy the story that she’s a foreign student? And does Keiichi have the guts to put the moves on a babe who is literally divine?
Midsummer Night’s Dream:
Five months have passed since Keiichi Morisato dialed out for dinner and got a goddess instead, but he still hasn’t managed to put the moves on the divine Belldandy. Belldandy’s big sister Urd is not amused, and after using a sexy videotape to introduce herself to Keiichi, gives him some serious make-out advice. The result is a trip to the seashore, where every attempt by Keiichi to advance a base or two with Belldandy goes hilariously askew. Then Urd brings out her ultimate weapon- the Love Potion! Will Keiichi get to hold hands with Belldandy? Good Heavens, maybe even kiss her? Will Urd give up in exasperation and leave them alone (preferably one of her plans kills poor Keiichi)? And just what is going on up there in the heavens?
Burning Hearts On The Road:
It’s really lonely up in the heavens without your big sisters to keep you company, especially when that means you are stuck with the job of tracking down all the bugs that keep cropping up in the Ultimate Force System. So little Skuld decides to pay her big sister Belldandy a visit in order to convince her to return. When she hears about the contract that binds Belldandy and Keiichi together, she decides that something must be done about it. Meanwhile, Keiichi, who still hasn’t managed to put the moves on Belldandy, gets stuck with representing the Auto Club in the University Drag Race, only to find out that his sempai, Tamiya, has a secret bet laid down on the outcome. But that’s not his only problem. He’s got an angry little goddess gunning for him. Will Keiichi win the race? Will he survive the wrath of Skuld? And will he finally lock lips with Belldandy?
Evergreen Holy Night:
Keiichi’s life finally seems to be getting back to normal (or at least as normal as it gets when you live in a temple with 3 goddesses!). Yes he does get strange dreams, and yes, Urd and Skuld are a pain , but what the heck- his girlfriend is truly divine! Alas the storm clouds are brewing. System Bugs are escaping from the Heavens, upsetting the balance of the Earthly Plane. Skuld the Heavenly Hacker gets on the case, and soon discovers that whenever Belldandy and Keiichi get close, a Bug Exhaust Port is formed. Until the problem is solved Belldandy and Keiichi can’t be together. Then Belldandy gets a Notice of Recall from the Lord. She has to go back to the Heavens or else! Will Belldandy have to ascend back home? Can the Bugs be fixed? Will the neighbors notice the unusual activity?
For The Love Of Goddess:
You’d think that with a goddess as a girlfriend, Keiichi’s life would be Heaven, but the fact is, it’s more and more coming to resemble the OTHER life address. If he even gets close to Belldandy, Bugs escape to the Earthly Plane and foul up the works. Worse, the Lord slapped her with a Recall Notice. In two days she has to relocate home to Heaven. As the clock ticks down, Belldandy must begin to erase herself from Keiichi’s life and memory. Meanwhile, Urd and Skuld, hoping to avert the recall, plot to solve the bug problem. And Keiichi? He’s working himself to the bone so that he can buy a ring for Belldandy. A ring that will fulfill a promise… a promise he doesn’t remember making! Will Keiichi remember the secret that binds his past with Belldandy’s? Will the Recall Notice be voided? Will True Love triumph over Divine Bureaucracy?

One Piece
Decades ago, Gold Roger, the King of Pirates was executed. Before his death, the crowd asked him where he kept all of his treasures. Gold Rogers smiled at them and told them that his greatest treasure, the One Piece -a treasure that whomever possesses shall have all he ever wanted and all of his dreams fulfilled, lies somewhere out there in the Grand Line. The result is the golden age of pirates and ever since then, men have been venturing out and leading the life of a pirate searching for the legendary One Piece. As a result, the Grand Line has become a battlefield where countless lives have been lost and a place where ghostly ships as well as impossible creatures roam. The story is that of Monkey D. Luffy who wants to be the next King of Pirates. He is a pirate unlike any other- having a pure heart and good (though simple minded) intentions. To accomplish his goals, he needs more than the abilities he gained from eating the demon's fruit, he needs comrades of equal prowess -comrades like Roronoah Zorro, the greatest swordsman of East Blue who yearns to be the greatest swordsman in the world, Nami, a navigator thief who wants to draw the map of the entire world, Usop, son of a pirate who himself wants to become a great warrior of the sea, Sangi, a martial artist cook who wishes to see the "All Blue"-a place where one can find all the fishes of the world, Vivi, a princess of a lost kingdom, and Chopper, a deer who ate the demon's fruit that gives him human qualities and acts as the ship's doctor. Together they roam the world in search of the One Piece while helping those who are in need despite the 30 million bounty on their heads.

Yes, yes - get this, WATCH THIS!!! Make sure to watch it in the original Japanese though. The dubbing and editing that 4 Kids did is completely horrendous. I mean, the voice acting is soo bad, completely mismatched for the personalities of the characters and the editing to make it "kid friendly" (like all the marines don't really carry real guns, they carry water guns and pop guns) - is highly attrocious that it makes me wonder why the hell does 4 Kids bother to acquire anime licenses anyway when they'll cut it up horribly that it doesn't resemble the original form and content of the series. YES, GET THIS, GET THIS, GET THIS NOW - But only in the Japanese language, English subtitled format!!!
One Piece the Movie 4: Dead End Adventure
Escaping from the naval fleet chasing them, Luffy and his crew heads for an island and finds out that a huge race for pirates with huge amounts of money at stake is about to begin. With a pair of giants as the third favorite to win, a merman crew who was a rival of Arlong as second and Gasparde as the most likely winner. Gasparde is a man with a 95 million berry bounty in his head. He believes in nothing but power and was a former Navy officer who betrayed the Navy upon recieving his high command. Now a pirate, he seems to be conspiring to do something in the race as Shuuya, the famed Pirate Executioner is hot on his heel for a crime he commited long ago and for the memory of a lost sister. The Straw Hat Pirates nearly falls for Gasparde's trap, which was to get all the pirates in the contest to go into a marine headquarters insland with the fake compass that is supposed to take them to the finish line. Angry at his treachery, they go after Gasparde and reach him, just as he was about to kill Shuuya. As the two faces of, Shuuya's sister re-emerges after 8 years of her being missing. Now, the only thing in the way of a happy ending is Gasparde and his Candy Candy Fruit ability which turns his entire body into a sugary syrup immune to any physical attack.
(Adventure/Comedy)
This is a pretty good movie. Perhaps the best one of the 4 movies I've seen so far. This series of events takes place just after Crocodile and the Alabasta arc. The Straw Hat Pirates members at this point includes Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usop, Sangi, Chopper, and Robin. At this point, Luffy still doesn't know that the bounty on his head has been increased from 30 million berries to 100 million berries, nor does Zoro know that he has a 60 million berry bounty on his head. Yeah, I recomend getting this one - it is a very good adventure film in my opinion.
