(Drama)

The story is pretty slow, but quite interesting. For all of you who like action and hate slow films, this might not be for you. For those of you who like a good story and political intrigue, this is a must see for you guys.

(Action/Comedy/Samurai Drama)

Some Part of the Earth was Melting: The Northern Yagyu (now calling themselves the Siberian Yagyu) have been hidden in the darkness of Siberia for over 300 years all the while holding a grudge of hatred against Jubei. Having heard of Jubei's return, they decide to come back to Japan and take their revenge. Meanwhile, with Jiyu, her battles as the second incarnation of Yagyu Jubei has come to a close. Returning to a normal life, her class, one day, gets a new transfer student named Yagyu Freasha. She instantly becomes friends with Jiyu and her friends and the two of them decide to go celebrate her transferring in by going to the sweet shop. On their way their, they are discovered by Yagyu Kitafuro who has been searching for the second incarnation of Yagyu Jubei. Following them to Jiyu's home, they are attacked and Jiyu and Freasha only survives because a strange kid places the lovely eye patch on Jiyu, once more transforming her into Jubei-chan. After chasing the enemy away, Jubei is faced with another enemy. This one is also wearing a lovely eye patch and claims to be the true second incarnation of Yagyu Jubei.
Fate Comes by Chance: Jubei-chan barely survives her encounter with the other Jubei and wakes up back in her room with Freasha waiting on her. The Siberia Yagyu are having a meeting about the new incarnation of Jubei. Back with Jiyu, Freasha leaves as Mikage comes over to Jiyu's house as she decides to live with them for a while as the editor of Jiyu's dad's romance book project that Jiyu asked him to do instead of the normal ghost writing of samurai dramas. At the same time, Jiyu's dad is meeting up with the author whom he ghost writes for to take on another ghost writing job against what Jiyu wants him to do. Elsewhere, the other Jubei attacks the Siberia Yagyu's place and beats them all up, telling them that they are all eyesores to her. At Jiyu's place, when her dad returns home, he is surprised to find Mikage in there with them and Jiyu acting happy as if they are finally a family. Alone together again, Mikage asks Jiyu if there is anything wrong with her, namely hinting if she's transforming again. Just as she asks that question, Ayunosuke appears outside after just having escaped from the other Jubei and tells them that he is Odago Ayunosuke - namely, Koinosuke's child.
I had Thrown Away Something I didn't Want: As Freasha shows up to sleepover at Jiyu's house, Kitafuro attacks them once more and Jiyu yanks him outside telling him that she is not Yagyu Jubei. She is Nanohara Jiyu. Her father calls her Jiyu-bei and that nicknamed gets mistaken for Jubei. Then, she tells to go away and never bother her again. Kitafuro gets mad at that and swings his sword at her to which Jiyu just turns around and performs the Mutodori by catching the sword with her right hand. Of course this convinces Kitafuro even more that she really is Jubei. The next day, Jiyu and Freasha heads over to their school and spends a normal day there. After school though, on their way to the sweets shop, Kitafuro shows up again and challenges Jiyu to another battle. Jiyu angrily tells him that she is not Jubei. When he attacks her again, Ayunosuke shows up and attaches the lovely eye patch to Jiyu transforming her to Jubei-chan once more. As their battle commences, the other Jubei shows up as well and it becomes a three way battle. After getting rid of Kitafuro, the other Jubei tells Jubei-chan that she is the real heir to Jubei's legacy and that the lovely eye patch belongs to her. Jubei-chan then rips the lovely eye patch and throws it to her saying that she didn't want it in the first place. Before the other Jubei can get it though, Ayunosuke retrieves it as Shiro and the Ruffians trio takes Jiyu away.
The Father that Never Returned: Suffering from a high fever from her transformation into Jubei-chan, Shiro and the Ruffians trio with Freasha helps her get home where Mikage begins to take care of her fever. The next day, after school, Ayunosuke reflects at the events of the day before while holding the lovely eye patch when the other Jubei attacks trying to retrieve the lovely eye patch. On the verge of being killed, Mikage arrives in time for a rescue. Fighting the other Jubei has wounded her though. Later on, Jiyu goes through the forest once more and meets Ayunosuke. She listens to the tale that Ayunosuke tells her. 300 years ago, Koinosuke, tired of searching for the right heir, settled down and married a woman and from them, Ayunosuke was born. They lived happily, but Koinosuke could not ignore his duty to his lord and thus, left once more to search for the heir and never came back. His last words before leaving was that he wishes for Ayunosuke to complete his task should he not live long enough to complete it. Even after hearing Ayunosuke's story, Jiyu still refuses to wear the lovely eye patch and tells Ayunosuke to never see her again.
We were Getting Along as a Pretend Family: Having told Ayunosuke to never appear before her again, Jiyu, Mikage, her papa, and Freasha head over to the commercial part of the town to enjoy a family outing. While there, the other members of the Siberia Yagyu clan decides to fight dirty and force Jubei-chan into battle by kidnapping Freasha. Ending up on the roof of a nearby castle, Jiyu pleads with them to leave Freasha and her alone. She is no longer Jubei-chan anymore and shouldn't be forced into such meaningless things. When her efforts fail and Freasha is thrown into the moat below, she calls out for Ayunosuke. Sure enough, Ayunosuke responds to her summons and with the lovely eye patch, she transforms into Jubei-chan once more. In the process, she defeats Nizaemon, one of the heads of the Siberia Yagyu clan. Changing back to Jiyu, she apologizes to Freasha for involving her. At the same time, Mikage learns from her husband that Kitafuro is from the clan of Yagyu and that the new enemies are also Yagyus.
Yesterday's Friend was the Enemy: Learning that the enemy is from the clan of Yagyu, Mikage ponders on the meaning of that. While deep in thought, Jiyu's dad sees her and mistakenly thinks that she is staring at him and knows that he isn't writing the romance novel that Jiyu asked him to do. Apologizing to her that he's been ghostwriting again, Jiyu overhears and runs away while Mikage runs after her. Having gotten separated, Mikage meets Nizaemon instead and from him, she finds out about the grudge held for over 300 years by the Siberia Yagyu against Jubei. He also asks him to help Jubei-chan defeat the rest of the Siberia Yagyu to set them all free from the curse as well. Freasha, searching for her as well, remembers the memories of her father as well as how she managed to get out of her icy prison, end up in the northern most tip of Japan, came to live with animals and learned of the Jubei-chan that has caused her to search for her and retrieve her inheritance and create the lovely eye patch that she wears until she gets the real one. Jiyu, meeting Kitafuro by chance tries to take out her anger on him. Mikage and Nizaemon shows up and asks her to become Jubei-chan once more and free the rest of the Siberia Yagyu from the curse of hatred they have carried for over 300 years. When Ayunosuke shows up to give her the lovely eye patch once more, Freasha shows up as well demanding the eye patch and revealing herself to be the other Jubei.
Cut, Fell, and Disappeared: In front of Jiyu, Freasha transforms into the other Jubei and forces her to become Jubei-chan once more. While she hesitates, Mikage and Kitafuro fights Freasha in turns and both are overcome by Freasha's skills. After Mikage gets injured and they all fell into the cliff, Jiyu transforms into Jubei-chan once more, but her hesitation in fighting a friend causes her to be badly injured. Mikage, regaining consciousness, bandages herself up and begins looking for Jiyu. Elsewhere, Jubei dreams of her and the Transfer Student Lovelies with Freasha as part of the group. Unconscious, Ayunosuke discovers her and drags her so that she can be healed. Back at Jiyu's house, Freasha tells Jiyu's dad that she refuses to come back home. While Mikage wanders the forest in search of Jiyu, Nizaemon finds out where Kitafuro is and takes him away to have his injuries sustained from Freasha healed.
I was Smiling After the Loss: As Ayunosuke is taking care of Jiyu, Jiyu's papa is taking it hard on himself since this is the first time that Jiyu has left home and never returned. Freasha, on her way to school reveals in her thoughts that she didn't kill Jiyu so that she may suffer more in order to pay her back for stealing her father's legacy that was meant for her to receive, but deep down, she regrets her actions as well. In school, Jiyu's friends, the other two members of the Transfer Student Lovelies, asks Freasha why Jiyu isn't in school to which Freasha tells them that she is sick. Ozaru, Kozaru, Bantaro and Shiro all asks her the same thing later on, but their unrelenting questioning leads Freasha to tell them that she ran away from home which leads them to conclude that things are getting too dangerous and Jiyu didn't want to involve her father and Freasha. Back where Jiyu and Ayunosuke is at, the two of them have a conversation and Jiyu learns more about Ayunosuke and Koinosuke. When she tells Ayunosuke that she is no longer Jubei-chan and that the lovely eye patch should be returned to Freasha so that she may become a normal girl as well, Ayunosuke leaves. Devastated by what Jiyu has ordered, Ayunosuke cries out to Koinosuke asking if he has been similarly rejected by Jiyu as Ayunosuke slowly becomes literally petrified by the grief.
It was a Sword he Once Crossed: Recuperating from his injuries, Kitafuro remembers the time of his childhood. He remembers the first time he has met a man names Yagyu Jubei Mutoyoshi and how his father praised Jubei's skill and told him how he admires him. His clan, the Northern Yagyu and the Edo Yagyu that Jubei comes from should be as one, but Jubei's father feared that Kitaretsusai, head of the Northern Yagyu and Kitafuro's father is stronger than he is and ordered the destruction of the Northern Yagyu who fled to Siberia instead of fighting back. Just like Jubei, Kitaretsusai believes that the time when a sword would be useless is coming. Meanwhile, Shiro and the Ruffians Trio decide to head over to where the Siberian Yagyu is at and capture since they believe them to be weak, only to be captured by them instead. In the forest, Jiyu gets up from the spot where Ayunosuke buried her in mud to recuperate and lower her fever. She seems to be acting strange and meets Kitafuro who is recuperating there as well. Speaking to her, Kitafuro remembers the man that he remembers Jubei to be from meeting him. Elsewhere, Jiyu's dad and Freasha are on the bridge as he tells her what a bad father he's been and how he has forgotten what is important once more. Returning home, Jiyu's papa and Freasha discovers Jubei there and he slaps her for going away for so long. Instead, Jubei just apologizes for seemingly coming to the wrong house, gets out and walks away.
I had Returned to my Former Self: Wandering around, Jiyu joins Shoko and Sachi and they both realize soon enough that she is acting strangely. She doesn't seem to remember her nickname, or Freasha, or her papa and wanders off again. Meanwhile, Mikage is searching for her and finds her with her papa following behind her. For some strange reason, she now thinks that Mikage is her mom. Mikage takes her away and leaves Jiyu's papa behind promising to protect her - even if she dies in the process. Alone, Mikage holds Jiyu close and apologizes over and over again that she was not able to protect her. Jiyu's dad, on the other hand, is lost in his own thoughts as he has just learned that Jiyu has transformed into Jubei-chan once more and that her battles are not yet over. In the Siberian Yagyu's headquarters, Shiro and the Ruffians Trio makes them clean house even though they are the prisoners when Freasha attacks them, beats them up and tells them that once she has recovered her inheritance, she is going to come back to finish the mission to exterminate them all that her father never finished. At Jiyu's house, Jiyu's papa wakes up to find that Tenryou, Mikage's husband has picked him up and taken care of him. Upon hearing about Jiyu and Jubei-chan, he gets agitated, overpowers Tenryou and runs of with his sword. At the same time, Nizaemon, witnesses what has happened and runs to Jiyu for help carrying Freasha's message that she will kill her friends if she doesn't come.
It was Time to Decide on a Career Path: At the tree where Ayunosuke has become petrified, Mikage attempts to convince Jiyu-bei, still in the state she was in, to get back on the right path and bring salvation to all those lost souls who have been wandering for the past 300 years, but to no avail. In the meantime, Nizaemon, running to Jiyu to warn her about Frisch, is followed by Jiyu's father. There he laments on how foolish he had been and that for a second time, he was on the verge of loosing everything that is important to him. Little by little, Jiyu returns to her senses as her father tells to make her choice whatever it might be so long as it is a choice that she chooses herself. Upon hearing that, she apologizes to Ayunosuke about how much of an idiot she has acted and how she foolishly forgot to realize that Ayunosuke had endured 300 years of living and the pain it must have caused just for the moment that they meet and Jiyu gets the lovely eye patch. When her tears fell on the petrified Ayunosuke, Ayunosuke is brought back to life and gives her the lovely eye patch once more. Transformed into Jubei-chan once more, she finally faces off against Freasha to finish a legacy that has lasted for over 300 years.
The Heart was Merely Absent: Jubei-chan and Freasha faces off against one another in a final duel to determine who is truly deserving of Yagyu Jubei's legacy. Little by little, Jubei-chan begins to gain the upper hand on Freasha. Retreating, Freasha begins to panic and starts calling out for her papa's voice. At the same time, the Siberian Yagyu began treating Mikage's injury as Jiyu's father doubt himself and what he can do. Finally deciding on something, he goes of to where Freasha is to tell her why she can never win - that it can never happen as long as her heart is not at peace. Arriving in time top deflect her sword aimed at Jiyu’s dad, Shiro and the rest try to convince her that they loved normal her. In the final moments of their duel, Jubei-chan tries to convince her that her eye patch is not a fake for it has all of her memories and her feelings for her papa in it. Starting to get convinced, Jubei's ghost appears through Jubei-chan and tells Freasha that the way of the sword lies in the heart. That even without the sword, so long as one has their heart, they can live on. With that, her hatred and the shadow within her heart has begun to vanish. As a happy ending seemed eminent, Kitaretsusai is resurrected to avenge the seething regret his spirit has carried for the past 300 years.
It was all Good with the Spade and the Heart: Facing against the monstrous spirit of Kitaretsusai in the form of an ice giant imprisoning Kitafuro, Jubei-chan and Freasha joins forces to face him in combat, but they seem to be at a great disadvantage. Jubei-chan manages to temporarily stun Kitaretsusai by getting Kitafuro to free himself by promising to duel him at that moment as she had promised earlier. Beating Kitafuro, Jubei-chan has reached her limit and leaves Freasha to face Kitaretsusai by herself. Being overpowered, Freasha finally gets some help when Jubei-chan manages to get up again and the two of them merge to become one Yagyu Jubei the 2nd. They manage to carve away the icy armor of Kitaretsusai and free his soul from its icy prison. There he tells them of his regret - that he did not retaliate because he believed that the era of the sword was drawing to a close, but realized he could not throw away his sword when he saw Jubei once more. Even worse, in their final duel, Jubei never drew his sword. At the same time, Jubei's spirit comes out and confesses to Kitaretsusai - that he had indeed been there as an assassin, but had no intention of carrying out his duty. Wandering in Siberia, he fell in love, got married and fathered Freasha. He had intended to live to rest of his life there, until he met Kitaretsusai once more and lost everything. He admits that he wanted to live without his sword, but found a twinge of regret at seeing Kitaretsusai's ultimate technique and found he couldn't live without his sword after all. having cleared that, Kitaretsusai and his clan has finally found their peace leaving only Nizaemon behind to care for Kitafuro. At the same time, Jubei, Freasha, Koinosuke, Ayunosuke, and Jiyu’s story draws to a close.

Kanon
Kanon is based on an H-game of the same name, but is not even echi. It chronicled the main character’s (Yuuichi) life in a town that he hasn’t been in for the past seven years. There he meets new friends, old ones, and people that are somehow familiar to him but he just can’t remember them clearly. While staying there, he tries to live out his life as most normal high schoolers do and forms bonds with people around as he interacts with them on a daily basis.
(Comedy/Drama)

I love Kanon! It can somewhat be dull at first glance because there really isn’t anything too exciting happening to the characters in the story (except for the occasional monster attack here, a supernatural mischief there, and ghostly interventions everywhere). Kanon has a dream like quality to it which I love, but the thing that I really like about it is the subtle hints that it gives everywhere that you will definitely miss the first time around. When you finish it and watch it again, it just pops in your mind and you go “Whoah, that was why she...” and it is a pleasant surprise. My recommendation: yes It is worth getting for your collection.

Girl of Snow: Yuuchi has come back to a town he last visited seven years ago. His parents' job forces them out of the country and he now lives with his Aunt Akiko and his cousin Nayuki. He doesn't remember much of the time he spent in this quiet little town and is still adjusting to his new life here. While shopping for his aunt Akiko, he runs across (or rather, was run over by) a girl named Ayu Tsukimiya. Apparently she decided to buy some taiyaki and forgot her wallet. Yuuichi accidentally becomes her accomplice when she runs away from the store owner holding Yuuichi's hands. Later that night, Yuuichi gets a dream in which he is a child and a girl that looks like Ayu is with him crying. He gives her a taiyaki and they promise to see each other again the next day and then wakes up from his dream and sees the strange hairband that he found among his things.
Town with a Sunny Place: Yuuichi is awakened by the alarm clock that Nayuki gave him. A few minutes later, a commotion is heard in Nayuki’s room and goes into her room to wake her up. Nayuki, despite the fact that she has a room full of alarm clocks going off at the same time, is still soundly asleep. Today will be the first day for him in his new school with Nayuki. He meets Nayuki’s friends also- Kaori Misaka and Kitazawa. After school, Nayuki went on to club practice which forces Yuuichi to go home by himself. On the way home by himself, he runs into Ayu again. She forgot her wallet again is running away from the taiyaki vendor and manages to get Yuuichi involved again. They manage to get themselves lost and runs into a frail looking girl. She reveals herself to be a freshman at Yuuichi's new school. While in class the following day, Yuuichi sees the same girl just waiting outside of school. He then decides to skip class to find out what she is doing in the yard. When he approaches her, he learns that she is sick and didn't have to attend school but is waiting for someone. She introduces herself as Shiori Misaka although Kaori tells Yuuichi that she's an only child.
Just One Memory: A strange girl named Makoto followed Yuuichi from school and tires to attack him claiming that he did something bad to her a long time ago. Akiko sees the two of them on the street and decides to take Makoto home with them when she just passes out on the street. Later that night, Yuuichi catches Makoto raiding the kitchen for some food which wakes up everyone in the household. Over midnight snacks, they find out that her full name is Makoto Sawatori and that she claims to be suffering from amnesia. Her name is the only thing that she remembers. During school, while lounging in the yard, he meets Shiori again and tells her about his situation with Makoto how he thinks that she’s just faking the amnesia. While in class, Yuuichi discovers that Makoto is still after him when he opens his notebooks and finds it full of doodles and his pens have been dismantled. After school, Yuuichi confronts Makoto about his missing wallet and before he could finish, Akiko asks him to accompany her on an errand. They talk about what to do with Makoto and Yuuichi runs across Ayu again. She quickly leaves them saying that she is looking for something she can’t remember. Back home, Nayuki asks for her notes back which she lent to Yuuichi and he goes back into the school to take it back. In the school, he meets a girl carrying a sword and sees her kill a monster.
To Night: Yuuichi returns home wondering if the girl and the monster she was fighting real or just something that he dreamed up. While wondering about it in his room, he catches Makoto trying to sneak into his room to pull a prank on him. The next day, Yuuichi, still wondering whether the girl he met was real, sees her walking to school. He tries to talk to her, but she just ignores him. Later on, a dog attacks Shiori in the yard during lunch time and Yuuichi tries to defend her. Having failed, the girl he met the night before steps in and scares the dog away. He follows the girl and sees her giving her lunch away to the dog. There, he meets the girl’s best friend who introduce herself as Sayuri Kurata and he learns that the girl’s name is Mai Kawasumi. He learns from Sayuri that Mai has always been shy and quiet although everyone else blames her as a trouble maker. After school, Yuuichi runs into Ayu again and decides to help her search for the important something that she has lost. After they part ways (still haven’t found that something Ayu lost), Yuuichi decides to go to school that night to bring Mai some food while she stands guard looking for monsters. While eating, a monster attacks them breaking some windows, but Mai easily kills it.
The Fox and the Grapes: The next day, after everyone goes to school and sees the broken windows everywhere, the blame automatically falls to Mai. Yuuichi and Sayuri waits outside the teacher’s office waiting for her when the study president comes along bad mouthing Mai. While cleaning up the classroom, Yuuichi is charged with throwing out the garbage and meets Shiori who was waiting there to thank him. While talking to Shiori, Yuuichi completely forgets that Nayuki is waiting for him at the front gate to go to the curry shop in the mall. To make up for it, they will be going shopping together the next day and when Makoto hears this, she decides that she will go with them as well. They leave the next day when Makoto is still asleep and she just catches up with them later. Complaining about being treated like a kid by Yuuichi, Makoto decides to do a dare made by Yuuichi to buy an ero-book not knowing what it was. When she finds out, she decides to get back at Yuuichi by pulling two pranks on him that night. The next day, she decides to follow them to school and Yuuichi takes her back home. On the way back, they get into an argument about the cat that Yuuichi and Nayuki saw before and because of that, Makoto runs away again.
The Girls' Opinion: Feeling guilty with Makoto running away, Yuuichi decides to search for her and finds her. Following from a distance, Makoto leads him to a grassy field past the forest where the cat is waiting for Makoto. After feeding the cat, Makoto goes to sleep in the open field and Yuuichi carries her back home. At school, the butou ceremony (a ball) is nearing and everyone is talking about it-including Shiori, Mai, and Sayuri. For some strange reason, although Sayuri tells Yuuichi that Kaori is her sister, Kaori denies having a younger sister and storms out of the room. Yuuichi convinces Mai and Sayuri to go to the ball to give Mai an image change. Later that night, Akiko runs into Ayu again and invites her over for dinner. They decide that Ayu should sleep over for the night and calls her parents to tell them, but no one was answering the phone. The cat (now named Piro), gets sick and Makoto takes care of it. The following morning, Akiko gets sick and Ayu decides to stay and take care of Akiko and by the time Yuuichi and Nayuki get back home from school, Akiko has already recovered. The episode ends with a shot of Sayuri’s bedroom and in her bed are two dresses and a suit for the ball.
The Butou Ceremony: Sayuri manages to convince Mai to dress up and come to the ball with her and Yuuichi. Sayuri had to do talk to a few people first and tells Mai to go on ahead. In the ball, she meets up with Yuuichi and the two of them dance the night away until they both get tired and thirsty. Handing her a drink, the glass shatters the moment she touches it and a monster appears rampaging in the hallway. Everyone panics and runs away while Mai runs and grabs her sword. Because of that, all that everyone saw is Mai swinging her sword in the air and destroying everything in sight. When Mai is about to be expelled, Sayuri accepts the position offered to her in the student council with the condition that Mai is not to be expelled. Sayuri then grabs Yuuichi telling her that Mai’s birthday is tomorrow and that she has a party planned for her on Sunday but that they should give her her gift tomorrow and asks him to help her buy a gift. The following night, Yuuichi grabs his gift and goes to school where Mai usually is to give her the gift and finds that Sayuri is still not at the door. When he meets up with Mai a monster shows up, but it doesn’t go to them as usual so they follow the noise and discovers Sayuri lying in the floor bleeding badly.
The Cage for the Girl: Sayuri is rushed to the hospital and Mai is completely distraught about it. In school, rumors about Sayuri being hospitalized floats around and everyone blames Mai again which leads to another confrontation with the student council president where Mai finally takes a stand against him. Yuuichi tells Mai not to put everything on her shoulders and convinces her to let him help. Later that night, the two of them goes to school to finally exterminate all of the monsters. While fighting the monsters, Yuuichi can’t help but see visions of a little girl with a bunny eared hairband standing in a grassy field. As Yuuichi helps her out, he begins to realize who that little girl is- Mai. It was Mai from seven years ago when they used to play together. Even more, he realizes that the monsters that Mai has been fighting all this time aren’t real. They are actually a projection of Mai’s mind that she gives life without even knowing it. All this time that she has been fighting monsters, she has been fighting the conflict within herself and when she realizes this, she felt as if her life didn’t have meaning at all and tried to kill herself. Fortunately, Sayuri was able to stop her in time. The next day, Yuuichi is telling Shiori all about the ball when he tells her that he’d like to see her in a dress next year, she is a little bit saddened by it. When they finally part, a girl confronts Yuuichi and asks him if he knew what Shiori’s disease really is.
Beyond That Smile: When he learned that Shiori isn’t really absent from school because of a cold, Yuuichi confronts Kaori about it. But even now, she still refuses her little sister. Later that night, Kaori calls Yuuichi and asks him to meet with her. She confesses that Shiori is her little sister and that she has been frail all of her life. Next week will be her birthday and the doctors tells them that she probably won’t live to see this day. Upon hearing this, Yuuichi decides to do all he can for Shiori. Shiori just asks to be treated like a normal girl and Yuuichi does just that. He gets her to spend a day in school just like any ordinary girl and then they spend the afternoons just having fun. By the fountain, Yuuichi asks her to dance with him-that it will be their own personal ball. Shiori later explains to Yuuichi that she isn’t really that strong a person-that she once tried to cut her own wrist once and that the day she met him was the day she bought the knife. That night, as she is about to slice open her wrist, she finds herself unable to do it because of Yuuichi’s smile-the one that he showed her earlier that day. At the same time, Kaori is walking with Nayuki and explains to her that she couldn’t stand losing her little sister that she just blocked it out of her mind and refused to accept that she ever had a little sister to shield herself from the pain. She continues on saying how painful it is to see Shiori just smiling on and accepting her fate. In the end, they end up where Yuuichi and Shiori are at and the two sisters reconcile with each other. The episode ends with the following day as Yuuichi and Nayuki gets out of school, Makoto is waiting for them there. Going home together, a strange girl watches all three of them walking home happily.
The Winter Fireworks: On the way back home, Yuuichi buys Makoto a bell wrist band as a gift and later on that night, Makoto can’t seem to be able to use her chopsticks. Suddenly, she just collapses. When she overhears them taking about taking her to the hospital, she runs away and tries to get back to the hill where Yuuichi catches up to her again. In that hill, Yuuichi is confronted by a girl named Mishio Amano who later on tells her the true nature of Makoto. She tells him that Makoto is actually a fox who has managed to take human form. That the miracle of her transformation is caused by her longing to see him again. Meanwhile, Makoto seems to be getting sicker and sicker. While taking care of her, Yuuichi recalls the little injured fox that he took home one day and consequently became his pet. As Makoto’s condition deteriorates, they decide to get her a full health inspection and treats her out before they take her to the hospital. Since Makoto doesn’t remember her own birthday, they make up a new one for her to celebrate. They spend the night as a real family-first in the diner, then taking their pictures in the print shop booth that she seems to be obsessed with. Later on that night, Makoto’s condition worsen and Nayuki and Akiko are about to call the hospital when Makoto pleads with him to take her back to the hill. On the way out, with the help of the bells that Makoto wears, Akiko finally realizes who Makoto really is. Upon reaching the hill, Makoto finally disappears in countless motes of light. The following school day, Yuuichi talks to Mishio again and tells her that he now remembers where Makoto took her name. Makoto Sawatori is the name of his first love and Makoto remembered the name because Yuuichi used to talk to her about this girl all the time. It ends with Mishio telling Yuuichi not to worry, she is certain that Makoto’s group is always constantly being renewed.
Promise: It all started with Akiko giving Yuuichi two movie tickets to use. With Nayuki out of town as part of club activities, he sits on the bench by the train station wondering what to do until Ayu shows up. He asks Ayu if she would want to go watch the movie with him and they spend the afternoon together. Of course, that afternoon, when Ayu kisses Yuuichi in the bench proclaiming how much she likes being with him, Nayuki was walking home at the same time and sees them. Nayuki gets upset with this and runs home and a few minutes later, Yuuichi gets back as well with Ayu. He invites Ayu over for dinner and to stay the night again. That night, Yuuichi and Ayu spent most of the night in his room just talking to each other and when morning came, Nayuki is still upset and leaves Yuuichi behind. When Yuuichi walked to school with Ayu, he asks her to hang out with him again that afternoon and wants to see the school that Ayu goes to. Later that afternoon, the two of them spend the afternoon together happily. When nighttime came around, Ayu began leading Yuuichi through the forest saying that it’s the way to her school. They reach a clearing with the stump of a single tree, Ayu starts panicking because her school is gone. At the same time she starts digging the ground by the tree stump saying that it’s there that she lost that something important and has begun to remember what she had forgotten. When she stops, she just says goodbye to Yuuichi saying that they can’t meet ever again and it was nice to finally be with him again after waiting seven years. When Yuuichi calls out to her asking what is going on, she just vanishes before his eyes.
The Mark of a Dream: Yuuichi goes home extremely depressed upon realizing that the Ayu he’s been with all this time is only a wandering spirit-that he fell in love with a girl he can never be with. Nayuki also realizes that he is extremely depressed about it and finds out that Ayu is gone. She follows him to the tree stump the following day and there Yuuichi tells her the story of a little girl he met seven years ago and used to play with. During that time, the tree stump had been a huge tree and if you climbed it, you could almost see the entire town. Around that tree, they used to play school. He also gave this girl an angel doll and told her that it had the magic to grant three wishes and the girl asked for two wishes and buried the doll as a treasure for their future selves. One day, when it was nearly time for Yuuichi to leave, he came to meet this girl again to give her a present, a red hairband. He found her on top of the tree, but before he could give her the present, a strong wind came and she fell and hit her head. That girl was Ayu. Nayuki then tells Yuuichi to cheer up and agrees to help him search for the something that Ayu had been searching for all this time. With the help of Kaori and Kitazawa, they find Ayu’s angel doll. Everything seem to go right now, but then Akiko got run over by a car and Nayuki starts to fall apart. When they were afraid that Akiko was dying, it was then that Yuuichi realized that Nayuki had always been in love with him, even way back when. Even more depressed about it now, Yuuichi goes back in the tree stump and finds Ayu there again. Ayu tries to cheer him up and tells him that as long as he believes with a strong heart a miracle will always occur. Upon giving her the angel doll, Ayu asks him to forget everything about her and go on with his life, kisses him on the fore head and vanished once more. Meanwhile, in the hospital, Akiko finally wakes up with Nayuki watching over her.
Where the Wind Leads: Spring has finally arrived and a month had since past when Ayu disappeared. The senior class is finally graduating. Sayuri and Mai are going to attend college in abroad to get a new start for themselves and Shiori is going to be back in school next year as a freshman again. Nayuki spends most of her time in the hospital visiting her mom and she and Yuuichi keep on strangely missing each other in the house. Yuuichi is going away again and Akiko advises Nayuki to tell Yuuichi how she feels about him and not keep it all inside. That night, Yuuichi is having a dream where he goes into the kitchen and sees Ayu baking him some cookies and wakes up to the sound of the doorbell. Nayuki had invited Kaori, Shiori and Kitazawa over to celebrate Yuuichi’s going away party. The whole time, since Ayu disappeared and Akiko had her accident, Nayuki had become strangely detached and Akiko tells Yuuichi not to worry about Nayuki. Her love might be unrequited, but even that kind of love is enough to nourish a person and help them to keep on going. On the day that Yuuichi is to leave, Nayuki goes to the hospital again and Yuuichi finds her confession of love to him in the alarm clock that she loaned him. In the hospital, Nayuki is with her mother again when she goes out to buy a drink and discovers something. She runs off to find Yuuichi before he leaves again and catches up to him. She gives him a kiss for the first and final time and tells him that someone is waiting for him. In the hospital there is a princess who has been sleeping for the past seven years and has been waiting all that time for her prince to wake her up. There, Yuuichi finds Ayu who has remained comatose since she fell from the tree seven years ago. Holding her hand and talking to her while she slept, Yuuichi manages to wake Ayu up from her long endless sleep. Finally, spring has come to the town of snow and the snow has begun to melt allowing time for everyone there to move forward again...
Wind Flower: It is now fully in the midst of spring and life begins anew again. Mai and Sayuri are now in Europe in an unnamed country trying to get used to their brand new beginnings. Kaori is also getting used to living again. In the fields where Makoto used to play, she is seen around there again. Most of all, with Ayu's presence felt again, Yuuchi has decided to stay in town. There he spends his time with Ayu once more as she gets used to her life after having woken up from a seven year slumber. The two of them spend all their free time together. Nayuki, who's love was unrequited, is successfully getting over the love she could not attain. The dream may be over, but it's sweet lingering feeling remains in the hearts of those who have dreamt it.

Karin
In the 21st century, there lives a family of vampires somewhere in Japan. They live a modest life while consuming the blood of humans secretly. But Karin, the eldest daughter, has an unmentionable secret. That's right! She doesn't suck human blood, but she is a vampire whose constitution causes her blood to increase. Actually, she's a blood producing vampire.
(Comedy)

It's pretty funny and I like. It takes away everything that I think of vampires and pokes fun of it. If you like vampires and have a yearning for something more light hearted than most vampire stories, go get this one now.

Overflowed, so Embarassing: Karin is a vampire from a family of vampires that has moved from the mainlands to Japan. Though the rest of her family are your typical vampires, Karin is a little strange and out of place. For one thing, she walks out in daylight and goes to school. She is almost your typical high school girl. One day, a new transfer student arrives and her high school life is turned upsidedown. Whenever he is around, her blood begins to pulsate, her chest starts feeling heavy, and she starts getting those vampiric urges. Attempting to go home before the urge overwhelms her, she looses control in the park and bites a middle aged man - something that Kenta, the transfer student, sees and mistakes for something else. She tries to avoid him afterwards, but is of no use. When he tries to ask her why she's acting strange around him, she gets the overwhelming urge again and tries to run off. Kenta catches up to her and she looses control at that point. Suddenly, blood gushes out from her! Karin is not the typical vampire who looses blood and needs it, she's a mutant who produces blood!
My Interests are So Embarasing: Deciding to avoid going to school to avoid Kenta, Karin's mom finds out and forces her to get out of the house instead of staying in like she has done for the past 3 days. Going to work since she's the only one who can't see in the dark and uses up all the electricity, she is surprised to find Kenta there. Trying to resolve the incident with Kenta in school, he tells her not to worry about him seeing her with a middle aged man when her brother shows up to pick her up. He tells her that it's because Kenta posseses the type of blood that she's drawn to that it happens to her. All she has to do is suck his blood to get it over with. Different vampires are drawn to different things. His is stressed people, their mother is drawn to the blood of liars, and their father to proud people. Going home, she starts getting the same feeling from Kenta's mother whom the met. She tells them of her misfortune and how she just got fired from work again because the manager tried to force himself on her like it always happen with every work she's gotten into. Unable to hold back, she sucks her blood with her brother erasing the memory from her mind. Afterwards, she has become more assertive and liberated as if she has been freed from the hopeless unhappiness that has drawn Karin to her.
Happiness is so Embarassing: Having discovered her taste in blood, Karin realizes that the reason she reacts to Kenta's presence is that he just might be unhappy about something. Intendint to remedy her situation, Karin decides to make him happy and stop all the insanity she goes through everytime she is around him. But in order to make him happy, Karin has to find out what happiness really means and her idea of happiness just might be too simplistic. When books, internet and Bge are of no use, Karin agonizes over it some more. Having had trouble with Kenta's presence again, she goes to infirmary and sleeps until lunch. Not hungry, she gives her bento to her best friend who gives it to Kenta in turn because he always seem hungry at lunch time and doesn't seem to eat anything. That night, after work, the manager asks Kenta to accompany Karin home, and she realizes that she is not having a reaction to him at all. When he returns the bento to her, she realizes that having bento just might make him happy and she resolves to make him lunch everyday if that will keep his presence from bothering her. At Kenta's house, seeing the bitemarks on his mother's neck, Kenta begins to suspect that Karin might be a vampire.
Being Found out is so Embarassing: Noticing the blatant fang marks on her mother's neck, Kenta really does suspect Karin of being a vampire. He reads up on vampires and decides to ebserve her and see if she reveals signs that she truly is a vampire. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't know that Karin is a special kind. She walks in the sunlight, immune to crucifixes, loves garlic, and swims well. While Karin is worrying wether or not he has realized it yet, Anju decides to go on a differnt approach in dealing with him. At the same time, Karin's best friend thinks that it's love between them. When Karin reaches her limit and needed to bite someone, she didn't realize that Kenta has followed her with some help from Anju. With her secret out, Karin is surprised to learn that Kenta is willing to accept the fact that she is a vampire. Going back to her house, Ren shows up with an angry look in his face demanding Kenta give back both of his sisters.
A Family Gathering is so Embarassing: Ren is about to erase Kenta's memory when Anju stops him and tells him not to touch Kenta. Back at the mansion, she tells them that it might be a good reason to have Kenta help them out since it is becoming harder and harder for her to assist Karin during the daytime. Soon, she won't even be able to help out Karin before the sun sets. Besides all of that, his house is just at the bottom of the hill that Karin's mansion is at. Waiting for her to take her home after work, Kenta is spirited away by Karin's parents and told of the situation officially and basic facts about vampires instead of the lores that are found in books and popular legends. They also blatantly threaten him to make sure that he doesn't do anything that would put Karin in danger. When Karin comes home, she finds a palefaced Kenta opening the door for her. Since he will help her out from time to time when Anju and the other members of her family can't, Karin decides to help him out by making him a bento everyday from that day onwards.
Mom Being Cheerful is Embarasing: Now that Kenta is well aware of what is going on with Karin, Karin has been making sure to feed him with a bento everyday to keep him happy. Unfortunatelly, her blood hasn't been stabilizing at all lately. In fact, her condition is getting worse and worse. At Kenta's home, his mom still haven't found a job yet even though she goes out looking for jobs everyday. Kenta, in order to cover his mom being jobless, has been taking more and more hours in the restaurant which is making him tired and destabilizing Karin's condition. Forced to go home one day, Kenta collapses inthe freezer and would have been left there if Karin hadn't realized that there was something wrong with him. Elsewhere, his mom got harrased by a would be employer again. After beating him up, the effects of Karin's bite finally wears off.
Being Chased is Embarassing: Karin comes to school one day to find that there is a new transfer student. His name is Winner and he comes from a line of vampire hunters. That alone would have been trouble enough, but it's even bigger trouble when he's got the hots for her. Her running away from everytime doesn't clue him in to the fact that she doesn't want anything to do with him isn't problematic enough. In fact, he's causing even more problem when she mistakes Kenta as someone who is harrasing Karin instead of seeing that in himself. He demands that he leave Karin alone and to settle things man to man...with swords. When Maki sees the two of them in about to fight with swords, she calls Karin and Karin runs over as fast as she can. She gets there in time to stop them, but splurts out blood because she ran so much that her blood got destabilized. Seeing all that blood, Winner passes out. The next day, Winner is back to chasing Karin stating that he lost...to Karin, not Kenta.
Being Found is Embarasing: Winner may come from a lineage of vampire hunters, but he doesn't seem to have much of a clue. Still, at least he is enthusiastic with what he is doing. Of course, for a vampire like Karin, this is more of an annoyance than either a real problem. When Karin splurts out blood again in the hallway, Kenta is unable to clean it up before Winner sees it an interprets it as a vampire attcking them both. Setting up one trap after another, Karin just goes around them to show just how useless they are. As Winner and the others are getting yelled at for causing a disturbance, Kenta and Karin returns to the scene of the crime, cleans up the blood and puts red paint on it. When they trip the alarm again, everyone rushes in and when Karin can't hold out anymore, she splurts out blood all over Kenta. With the noise they just made in the locker, Kenta runs out carrying Karin in full view of everyone. Now their curiosity about the blood is gone, they want to know what is really going on with Karin and Kenta even more
Looking Back is Embarasing: With Karin no longer needing her help as much or spending much time with her, Anju is getting lonely with her sister's attention turned elsewhere. She looks back on the time when they were little and Karin used to look after her all the time. Now, the house seems somewhat bigger than it used to be. Karin is almost never around and most of her time is spent either with Kenta or thinking about him. Wandering around the city, she thinks of the time when she used to follow Karin where ever she would go and the time she tried to follow her and got lost. When she is attacked by a dog, it was Karin who saved her. Returning home, Karin is there with a gift for her - the stuffed dog that she used to look at.
Papa is very Embarasing: When Karin fails her test, she has to take a retest. If she fails that as well, then she will get a home visit from her teacher and that is something that cannot be allowed. If the teacher visits their home, she might learn that they are vampires. In order to prevent this, she has asked Kenta if he could teach her so that she doesn't fail. Of course, leaving the two of them alone like this has her dad worried that something might happen between them. At first, he just sends out his familiar to monitor them, but when they start spending time together in the library, he decides to go there in person even though it is daytime. Of course, he keeps getting spotted and it is starting to annoy Karin. When she gets into an argument with her dad, she finds out from Kenta that he doesn't have a dad. He abandoned them along time ago while his mother pretends that he died instead of having abandoned them. After the exam, Karin passes with a 78. At home Karin's father's relief that they don't have to see each other again like that is broken by Bhge as he tells him more and more absurd thing the way he did to make him go to the library in person during the daytime.
It's Summer! It's the Pool! It's Embarassing!: During the first day of their summer, Winner boldly gives Karin a ticket to the public pool. Uncertain what to do, she asks Maki to come along with her as well so that it wouldn't be a date. There the two of them conspire to make Winner dislike Karin. From using ugly swimsuits to being a total bitch about everything to making him buy a ton of food, nothing seems to work on Winner. He seems completely oblivious to the fact that Karin doesn't want him hanging around her nor the fact that Maki seems to like him. When Maki got ill from trying to help Karin finsh the table full of food that Winner got for them, Karin and Winner are left alone. Watching the total eclipse that was occuring that day, he recounts his first love and how he got his first kiss. Listening to the story, Karin is shocked that the first one she ever bit as a vampire was actually Winner and that bite gave him the resolve to continue training and become a vampire hunter. As the eclipse is reaching its climax, Winner tried to put the moves on Karin. However, the eclipse is causing Karin's blood level to rise. When she doesn't resist being pulled into his arms, Winner takes it as a sign that she has accepted him only to realize that Karin has bled all over him. The next day, Winner comes over to where Karin works as she is daydreaming what if Kenta was the first one she had ever bitten and tries to brag to Kenta about them the day before and them being tied by fate.
My Older Brother Really is Embarassing: Lately, Karin's blood hasn't been increasing at all and it just might be because of the lunches that she keeps making for Kenta. Later on in the evening, Ren is out with his usual prey of stressed out women when he runs into Kenta's mom and having just been fired...again, she is radiating out a lot of stress - just the kind that he likes and decides that she might be worth going after. At home, Karin seems to be happy planning out her next dish for Kenta when Ren walks in and asks if she is starting to fall in love with him. When she said no, he then takes it that it's ok to bite her. Realizing that he is targeting Kenta's mom, Karin tries to figure a way to get himi to stop and after talking to Kenta the next day, she figures that the best way might be for her to bite Kenta's mom first. Trying to figure out how to get close to her, she goes to temporarily help a Chinese restaurant when Kenta's mom shows up looking for work. Working aside her, she now has good chance to bite her, but runs into the problem of her blood steadily increasing. When Kenta shows up, she can't control it anymore. Kenta takes her away to a remote place where there is no one. Along the way, she begins to forget why she has to bite his mom and why not just bite him instead. The moment they stop, she attacks him and is ready to take a bite.
Waking Up is so Embarassing: About to take a bite out of Kenta, Karin manages to stop herself just in time and collapses after splurting out a lot of blood. Going back to work, she finds out that Fumio has already been fired because she is too irresistable to the customers and ends up causing trouble. Searching for her, Karin finds that Ren is about ot bite her and the two of them gets into an argument which is ended when their dad shows up to take Ren away. Soon, Kenta finds his mom asleep in the park with her memories erased and only a faint dream about hearing Karin's voice. Back at their mansion, the rest of their family have a talk with Ren about keeping his fangs away from Kenta's mom to which he refuses to until Anju points out that he might be bewitched by Fumio the way that her superiors keeps on turning from decent people to work with into sexually harrasing her. Mad about being accused of falling into a bewitchment, Ren leaves to find another woman while Karin mopes around in her room. The next day, Karin apologizes to Kenta for all the trouble that she has caused the day before. Trying to leave, Kenta asks her why she didn't just bite him and tells her that if she ever gets the urge to bite someone, his neck is always open game to her. Karin runs off after finally ready to admit that she really is in love with Kenta like everyone else keeps telling her.
Being Together Until Morning is so Embarassing: Upon realizing that she is in love with Kenta, Karin mopes about the hopeless situation since her blood increases everytime she is near him. Hearing her rantings, her dad flies off to mope elsewhere. When karin takes Maki home with her to finish the homework that she forgot, it leaves just Carrera and Anju to make her feel like a real guest. Having fun through out the night while trying to finish the homework as quickly as possible, Karin and Maki spends time together avoiding perils from Carrera spying on them, Anju popping out of nowhere, Carrera's cooking to falling asleep before finishing the summer homework. Going to sleep, Karin asks her what is wrong with her and she recounts the tale of her hopeless love for Winner in third person. Of course, Karin is too dense to realiz who it is she is talking about. The next day, Maki feels a lot better just by talking about it. Karin, realizng that Miss M is actuall Maki, she cheers her on in secret while wondering who Miss K and Mister W is.
Elda Appears! is so Embarassing: When Henry decides to move something inthe basement, a seal that has been in place begins to crumble and the prisoner within the seal breaks free from the binds to holds it in place. Kenta, heading home, finds a lot of people that have just been attacked by a vampire and sees someone who looks like Karin draining another one before his eyes. Karin, returning home, discovers the existance of Elda, her grandmother who looks almost like her and that she had just broken free of the seal that Carrera had placed on her while she slept. Elda, Henry's mother, has a bit of a twisted personality and Karin must keep the fact that she is a bit strange herself and Kenta's existance a secret from her. Unfortunately, Elda has gotten bored and decided to pay Karin a visit while she is in school at night finishing the preparation for the culture festival. With Elda on the loose at school and students all over the place at night, Karin must try to keep damages from her twisted grandmother to a minimum. But then, she decides to drain Kenta while Karin is out searching for her...
Elda's Love Story is so Embarassing: Driven away from Kenta by Anju. E;da returns home and promptly puts one and one together and realized that Karin is in love with Kenta. She recounts her own tale of having fallen in love with a human named Alfred a long, long time ago. It was during a time when vampires were openly hunted down by humans and killed. Together, the two of them believed that they would find a way for humans and vampires to live together in peace. Unfortunately, Alfred's father was an avid vampire hunter and when he realized that Alfred had fallen in love with a vampire, he made sure that the two of them would never meet again. Still, Elda kept her hopes that the two of them would meet again. When she refused to leave town, Alfred's father raised a mob to kill her and went after her in the cover of night. Alfred, having realized this, went ahead to where Elda was and tried to get her to leave town. When Alfred forces Elda to drink his blood to escape, his love for her vanished because Elda's taste in blood appeared to have been love. In the end, Alfred staked E;da through the chest after she drank his blood. With that in mind, Elda vows to make sure that Karin and Kenta never be together.
Saying Farewell to Elda is Embarassing: Certain that Elda will attack Usui to keep him away from Karin, Karin nervously tries to enjoy the school festival with Usui while keeping a lookout for whenever Elda will strike. When they return to their class show, Karin discovers that two of her classmates that are usually close together, are fighting as if they have always loathed each other, Karin realizes that Elda is somewhere near by. Running out to confront her, Karin finds her on top of one of the billboards in the school. When Kenta realizes that she is gone, he goes after her as well and ends up in Elda's grasp. When Karin squirts out blood from running around too much, she passes out and Elda nearly bites Kenta. Kenta manages to save himself by denying the sad future that Elda has predicted and his behavior reminded her of Al. When Winner shows up, his overexcitedness causes the billboard to topple over and Karin nearly falls off. Kenta manages to break free from Elda's hold and rescues Karin. This act buys him time as Elda decides not to bite him at that time. Back at the Marker home, Elda leaves a letter behind saying that she will wander around for a while and research things about Karin and if there are any others like her.
Big Brother's Secret is so Embarassing: The tale of a young Ren is retold as Anju and Karin listens on to Bge recounting the tale. Henry believes that for a vampire that lives on human blood, an understanding of humans is a necessity. To this end, Ren, 14 at the time, is sent to live on a boys school until the time when he awakens to his vampiric nature. He lives in the dorms with a roomate who have a feminine face and a feminine personality. So much so that people refer to them as Ren and his wife. Ren, already filled with disdain towards his father for sending him to a human school, is filled with even more disdain by having such a girly roomate and a student council that keeps on chasing them. When his roomate decides to escape the school, he is captured by the student council and they try to use him to get Ren in the council. At this point, Ren awakens to his vampiric gifts and lashes out against the humans he hates by sucking his roomate's blood. From then on, after realizing that his roomate really is a guy, Ren has never bitten another male ever again.
Christmas Eve Together is so Embarassing: Maki is stoked at the prospect of Christmas and of her giving her hand made present to Winner. At the same time, Karin gets the idea to make a hand made present to Kenta. Spending more time together as a result of Christmas being so busy, they get closer together. At the same time, Karin feels left out at home since vampires only seem to enjoy the season because it gives them a reason to splurge on blood. At work infront of Julian's selling Christmas cake with Karin dressed as a Santa and Kenta as a reindeer, Karin somehow manages to get Kenta to talk about where he used to live. Arriving home, Kenta asks his mom about his father since he can no longer remember him clearly. The next day, trying to figure out a way to give Kenta his gift, Karin finally manages to give it to him after he begins to tell her about his dad. As the snow falls, the two of them happily spend their time together. Elsewhere, Maki is headed to where Winner lives and is trying to figure out a way to give her gift to him and confess her feelings for her at the same time. When she sees him running around as usual, she stops him to give him the her handmade gift. When he just brushes her aside because something more important is going on than the trivial matter that she is trying to present, Maki begins to cry at her failed love. As the snow falls and people enjoy Christmas in their own way, Winner's grandfather arrives in Japan on the trail of the Marker family.
The First is so Embarassing: Anju has come to a realization of something and she agonizes on how to tell Karin about it. At the same time, in the family restaurant that they both work in, Kenta asks Karin out. Maki sees the two of them enjoying themselves from outside and goes home. There, she spends her time depressed about what happened when she tried to give her gift to Winner. Brushed aside as a trivial matter, she calls on Karin to spend some time with her before her big date. At the same time, Bge treathens to tells Karin about what Anju has realized if she doesn't tell Karin herself. Talking to Karin, Anju remembers all the things that they used to do together as Karin prepares to go out. After Karin goes out early that morning to buy presents, Anju heads out as well. Waiting for Karin, Maki runs into Anju. As they are talking, Anju begins to feel her blood rise and she bites Maki. Karin arrives just in time to see the end result of what has happened and the realization that Anju has just awakened to her vampiric nature. The two of them argue over Anju bitting Maki and Anju tries to drive the realization into Karin that they are vampires. It is their nature to do so. Heading home, Anju cries herself to sleep as Bge stops talking to her.

Later that day, Tomari comes over to return a CD and finds out that Hazumu spent the whole day with Yasuna and gets a bit more jealous. Meeting Ayuki in the store, Ayuki tells her that she only has two choices - either step up to the stage or get off it. The next day, Hazumu and Yasuna are together again in the garden and Yasuna tells her how much she has stared at him working on the gardens before the two of them met. The moment is interupted by Tomari who sees them from a classroom. When Tomari and Yasuna confronts each other, Yasuna tells her that she loves Hazumu to which Tomari reminds her that she has already dumped Hazumu and doesn't really have any right to be with him like that anymore.
The Things Reflected in Yasuna's Eyes: Yasuna asks Hazumu to be her partner for the sketching class and Tomari who overhears, decides to ask Hazumu as well to keep the two of them from being left alone together. In class, Sora notices something about Yasuna and talks to Hazumu about it by showing her the picture that Yasuna drew the year before. In it, none of the boys are portrayed except for him and his face isn't drawn in. During the field class for sketching, Yasuna and Tomari gets into an argument over Hazumu again and Yasuna begins to feel bad when Tomari tells her to know when to draw the line, after all, she has already rejected Hazumu once, she should know better than to keep acting as familiarly as she has been doing lately. Talking to her afterwards, Hazumu learns that she cannot recognize boys. It all started when she was little when her father's image start becoming blurry in her eyes. Later on, all other boys became the same to her. Then one day, she saw him. For some strange reason, Hazumu's image isn't blurry like all the other boys, but she was afraid to get close to him. She has feared that something might happen to cause him to disappear from her vision as well. Apologizing for what she has done, Yasuna runs away only to return. Telling Hazuma that she doesn't want to have any regrets anymore, she kisses Hazumu. At that moment, Tomari walks in on the two of them.
The Bride and the Groom: Having seen the two of them kissing, Tomari runs off before Hazumu can catch up to her. By herself at the river banks, she remembers the time when they were little and Hazumu wanted to be her bride and she corrects him by telling him that boys has to become a groom. The next day, she seems normal enough, except she started giving Hazumu the cold shoulder. Everytime Hazumu would come to her to do something together, her reply would always be the same - "do it with Yasuna." At the same time, Tomari is starting to get depressed that Hazumu has chosen Yasuna. While at Yasuna's place, Hazumu just couldn't bring herself to kiss Yasuna because everytime she does, she keeps seeing a memory of when Tomari was little. Going home, Hazumu finally remembers where that memory is from and goes out to see Tomari. Finding her by the river, Hazumu tells Tomari that she doesn't want to lose her and that it would be too painful to be unable to talk to her. She then recounts that memory of when he tried to cross the river to prove that he would be a good groom for Tomari. Trying to recreate that scene from childhood, Tomari stops her in the middle and the two of them make up.

Key, the Metal Idol
Her classmates at school names her Key, as in the "key" to a strange mystery. Key's grandfather was a kindly old scientist wanting to use his skill in robotics to create peace and love in the world. But when that kindly old scientist passed away, poor Key was left behind, lacking even the ability to smile. There is still hope however-a message let behind for Key suggests a fantastic possibility. Could it be possible for Key to become a real, live human, if she can only win the love of 30,000 people?
(Drama/Intrigue/Fantasy)

Key is more like a modern retelling of Pinocchio with a strange supernatural twist. The story is rather interesting although a bit hard to follow and confusing at times. Still though, it is interesting enough for me to recommend that you guys watch this at least once.

Start Up: Her classmates at school names her Key, as in the "key" to a strange mystery. Key is an android, created by a kindly old scientist wanting to use his skill in robotics to create peace and love in the world. For some years now, his creation Key has been going to school, just like a regular girl, albeit one who only ages when kindly doctor exchanges her artificial body for and "older" one. So what if she doesn't really understand how to act human yet, or even how to smile...She's still like a regular girl, even if she was built, not born.
Cursor I:
Cursor II:
Access: Key's trip to see her idol Miho Utsue in a live concert turns into a disaster, especially when slimy talent "recruiter" Tamari, now fixated on the idea of promoting Key's friend Sakura, shows up at the concert as well. Intent on selling his new "discovery" to Miho's manager Ajo, Tamari stumbles unto something he shouldn't backstage...and his discovery might cost him his life. Pursued by a menacing PPOR robot. a panicked Tamari is driven over the edge of a roof restaurant where, coincidentally, Miho's number-one-fan, Shuichi is dining with Key. Poor Key is accidentally pulled over the edge along with the luckless Tamari, and as the two hang for their lives from the rim of the rook, something awakens inside Key...
Scroll: In the aftermath of the terrible rooftop incident, Key's surprising powers have been suddenly revealed to a crowd of astonished onlooker. One of those onlookers is a religious leader, "Prince Snake Eyes," whose mysterious cult of the Snake God has a thousand followers who all believe in the power of the supernatural. Inspired by what he has seen, the unusual priest sets out to find Key, and make her an offer that she might find hard to refuse...especially now that Sakura seems angry with Key for some reason she won't explain...
Scroll II: Cast out of Sakura's apartment, Key has little choice but to accept an offer of refuge from the charismatic cult leader, "Prince Snake Eyes." But on the night Key arrives at the seemingly peaceful shrine, a desperate couple brings their dying child to the religious leader, hoping that his power from the Snake God will mystically heal the boy. Unable to turn them away without destroying his follower's faith, the wily cultist has promised intervention from a young disciple whose powers, he claims, are even greater than his own...
Run: The man known by the code name "D" has but one obsession of late-to find and retrieve Murao Mima's "granddaughter," Key. Having followed her to the religious group's shrine, the armed and dangerous D now holds a group of terrified cultists at bay, demanding that they turn Key over to him. But even Key is unaware of the fact that she has a protector-a friend from her past who is both willing and able to face of against D on his own terms.
Goto: When Sakura decides to help Key look for work in show business, she asks Shuichi-handsome president of Miho Utsue's fan club-if he can introduce them to people who might be able to help, but all a cautious Shuichi will offer is a warning not to get near Production Minos. Then, at an audition for a musical, even though Key does nothing at all, a certain producer is intrigued...
Return: Ajo's latest experiment with the PPOR units pushes his staff to their limits, while Prince Snake Eyes and his followers continue to keep a watchful eye over Key. Meanwhile, ashamed of his previous behavior, Shuichi finally puts Sakura in contact with several of his college buddies who are now successful in showbiz, but even he is surprised when he finds out which famous producer has shown interest in Key.
Bug: Key's Dream would seem to be on its way to coming true when she is "discovered" by producer Hikaru Tsurugi, a man Shuichi claims is a genius, with the ability to do everything for a rising young star. In this case, Tsurugi claims that he can even fulfill Key's wish to become human...
Save: Meanwhile, Shuichi has embarked upon a journey of his own, to Key's hometown, in the hopes of finding out more about her past. The primitive beauty of the area seems to have a strange effect on him, but even more strange is the discovery that Ajo, President of Ajo Industries and secret backer of Production Minos, has arrived at Key's old house as well...but what could Ajo be searching for?
Virus I: The news of a concert appearance by Miho Utsue leaves Key longing to see her idol in person once again...but first, she has to persuade her producer, Tsurugi, to let her attend, and Tsurugi has his own ideas about what is best for Key. Meanwhile, Ajo decides that it's time for Miho to retire, and a new singing sensation to make her debut...
Virus II: Having successfully convinced Tsurugi to take her to Miho's concert, Key arrives at the auditorium eager to hear Miho sing...but instead, she finds Production Minos' latest new idol on center stage, taking Miho's place! Is it possible for a girl with no emotion to get angry...?
System: In the wake of Key's destructive appearance at Miho's concert, Shuichi Tataki finally feels he has enough information to confront Key's strange guardian Wakagi with his theory on the recent strange events. Now, the mystery of Key's background...the mystery if the PPOR robots...the mystery of "gel"...everything will be laid bare, and all of Key's secrets will be revealed in this penultimate volume of the series.
Exit: Key's secrets have been explained, but her story is far from over. As her dearest friend Sakura lies in deadly danger, held hostage by Ajo to lure Key into his complex, Key's powers begin to manifest themselves in earnest. An increasingly unstable Ajo, terrified of her powers, is both ready and able to use the battery of high-tech equipment at his disposal to drain the gel out of every member of the audience at Miho's next concert. Now everything hangs on the tiny hope that Miho's fan club can muster enough interest in the mysterious new singer "Key" to challenge Ajo's plans, even as Key's awakening as a human is teetering on the brink. Finally, it's time for everyone to hear Key's song.

With Akane's friends still not convinced and Akane extremely drunk, she decides to show them by sleeping with Kyosuke (thus fulfilling that part of his precognant dream). Of course it has to be about that time when Madoka, Kurumi, and Manami shows up. Finding Akane's friends listening in through Akane's bedroom door, they hear strange sounds coming from the other side of the room...
Message in Rouge: Madoka's father is a world class conductor and returns to Japan to give a concert. No one is more excited than Madoka with the concert. With a bouquet of roses in hand, Madoka goes to her father's room to congratulate him after the concert and walks in only to find her father being unfaithful to her mother. This deeply troubles Madoka to the point where she runs away from home with no explanation other than a goodbye written on the mirror in red lipstick. In the meantime, Madoka decides to go over to Kyosuke's place (who is all alone at the moment). They spend the whole afternoon together happily although Kyosuke can't help but think that something is bothering Madoka. He gets his answer later on when Hikaru calls him to say that Madoka has run away from home. Now it's up to Kyosuke to get Madoka to return home and explain the misunderstanding.

Kimagure Orange Road: I Want to Return to that Day (Movie 1)
A brisk day in early spring, Kyosuke and Madoka walk together on the grounds of a University, toward the signboard that will tell them if they have passed the entrance examinations. A chance comment overheard and Kyosuke’s thoughts range back… To the previous summer, when he was struggling to prepare for the all-important examinations, amid the myriad distractions of youth… To the previous summer, when Madoka and he finally admitted their feelings for each other… To the previous summer, when he tried not to break Hikaru’s heart… (Drama)
(Drama)

If you are used to or watched the TV series or OVA's, you will be very, VERY surprised with this one. There is absolutely no paranormal powers used here, no comedy, and Kyosuke actually, finally makes up his mind and chooses between Madoka and Hikaru. On the other hand though, I think that it is a very good movie and wraps the series up rather nicely. Yes, buy it even if you've never seen any of the TV series or OVA's! Why? ‘Cuz it’s an excellent, excellent drama movie- that and I said so!

New Kimagure Orange Road (Movie 2- also Shin Kimagure Orange Road)
Sometimes you do get a second chance… Kyosuke Kasuga awakens after a traffic accident to discover that three years have passed, and his entire life is falling apart! When an old paramour returns and his relationship with his beloved Madoka teeters on the brink of destruction, Kyosuke finds himself at the center of an emotional maelstrom. Will love guide his heart truly for the second time? Find out in one of the most extraordinary romances ever, Kimagure Orange Road-Summer’s Beginning. (Drama)
(Drama)

The animation in this second movie is quite different from the first movie, OVA's and TV series, but once you get used to the changes made, you too will like this film. This time around, Kyosuke's powers are one of the central elements used in the film and a character from the OVA makes an appearance. It's a must buy for KOR fans (like myself).

Koi Kaze
This is the story of a family that has been separated for a long time and has recently been reunited. With their parents divorced, they haven't seen each other for a couple of years, but now Nanoka returns to her father's household along with her brother who is 12 years her senior. It tells of their daily lives, of getting acquainted with each other, and of the weird as relationships that forms between them.
(Drama)

Not recommended-especially if you have low immorality tolerance. As if it wasn't enough that this story is about a salaryman picking up on a high schooler, the high schooler also happens to be his own blood sister. Yes, BLOOD SISTER! Not sister through parents marrying each other. Interestingly enough, episode 8 (which is labeled 7.5) never aired because in Japan, divorce is a bigger taboo on TV than incest is.(?)

Kokoro Library
Kokoro Library is a tale that takes place in a Europe from a time of neverwhen. It chronicles the daily lives of three sisters-all of them librarians. It exists in a town where life seems to be just perfect and everyday is like a dream. Everyone there is helpful and nice-even the thief and the bikers.
(Fantasy)

If you like to watch series that don't have a life and death/fate of the world plot, but instead has a focus on the normal daily lives of the character, then this is the series for you. The story telling in here is slow, but not so slow that you just fall asleep. The plot line never gets complicated and most of them just deal with how the librarians live their everyday lives and solve everyday problems. Yes I know that it's not for everyone, but I recommend that you at least see this one.

I'll Become a Librarian:
What can I do at This Moment:
The Secret of Ms. Kifin:
A Librarian's Motto:
The Targeted Library: Funny Tortoise, a master phantom thief, has left a message that he is going to steal one of Kokoro Library's books-a precious book that has been left behind by their father. Upon hearing of the notice, the police's special, anti-Funny Tortoise squad shows up to guard the library from Funny Tortoise. Unfortunately for them, Funny Tortoise is also a master of disguise and can make himself look like anyone else in a matter of minutes. When he showed himself and decoyed the police away from the book, he disguises himself as Kokoro and steals the book. Kokoro walks in on him as he is about to make his getaway and Kokoro tells him that he can have the book as long as he promises to give it back, they are in a library after all. Reading the book, Funny Tortoise discovers the message that Joldy, Kokoro, Aruto and Iine's dad, has left for him and asks that he look after his daughters.
The Comparoid Librarian: Kokoro-chan leaves the Kokoro Library and her sisters to undergo the Librarian training seminar and get herself fully accredited by the Librarian’s society and become a full-fledged librarian. She gets roomed with the prototype librarian robot named June and the two of them undergo special librarian training. When a patron asks for a book that is long overdue, Kokoro-chan decides to go look for the address of the person who has borrowed the book. In doing so, she has neglected her normal duties and June tries to help her as well. Since they both left their post without permission, they both cannot pass the test, but the test giver has decided not to fail them either, so they have to come to the next session and pass the test then. Kokoro-chan and June part ways promising to meet again at the next librarian seminar and take a picture of the both of them for Iine.
The Day Kokoro Is Gone: During the time that Kokoro-chan is away for the librarian training seminar, Iine and Aruto try to go on performing their duties as librarians at Kokoro Library. Aruto gets even more work due to the fact that not only Kokoro-chan is gone, but Iine seems to have turned into a living corpse with Kokoro-chan gone. Iine keeps on wondering if Kokoro-chan is alright, worries about her the whole time, and imagines strange circumstances that Kokoro-chan might be in (apparently, one of those ends up with Kokoro-chan getting kidnapped by aliens?). Iine is such a nervous wreck that she stopped noticing major things (like Aruto dressed up as Himiko while writing her book) and keeps on spacing out until she found the book that Funny Tortoise tried to steal from them and Kokoro-chan loaned to him. She began to read the book and the day afterwards, Aruto is surprised that Iine has changed back to her regular self. The story ends with Kokoro-chan making her way back to the library and her sisters welcoming her back.
I Want To See My Mom: Iine, Aruto, and Kokoro were going on about their regular duties as librarians in the Kokoro Library when the door rings and they are surprised to find Umezekawa at the door. With him is a young girl named Inoue Hikari who has with her a letter from the Librarian Association requesting that the sisters train her as an assistant librarian. Hikaru never seems to open up to the sisters and it turns out that she has a heavy burden that she is carrying. Her mom is sick in the hospital and may even be dying. Kokoro-chan begins to get closer to her but Hikari pulls away again when Kokoro-chan sees the picture of her and her mom and asks about it. When Hikari tries to run away, Kokoro-chan runs after her and when Hikari begins to cry wanting to see her mom, Kokoro-chan also begins to cry with her and Hikari learns that Kokoro-chan too misses her mother whom she has never seen- the mother who died giving birth to her. Kokoro-chan learns the reason why Hikari wants to work at Kokoro Library- her mother had told her that miracles happens at Kokoro Library and Hikari wants a piece of that miracle to help out her mom.
A Miracle: Hikari has begun to really warm up to Kokoro-chan and has begun to act like a normal girl. Kokoro-chan gives Hikari one of her books by her favorite author, Himiko, and Hikari says it of and begins to disassemble and criticize the author within earshot of Aruto (who, just to remind anyone who forgot, is really secretly Himiko without her sister’s realization). She also starts to spend a whole lot of time with Kokoro-chan. Everything seems fine until one day when Hikari receives a phone call from the hospital. Her mother is about to go through her operation. Kokoro-chan and her sisters try to get Hikari (who is now back to being terribly depressed) to go to the hospital and be by her mother’s side. Hikari refuses to go stating that her mother told her that Kokoro Library can create miracles and she wants to stay there so that the miracle would happen for her and her mother. Kokoro-chan and her sisters go outside and wish out loud for the safety and success of Hikari’s mother during her operation. The next day, Hikari leaves for the train station to go back home and Kokoro-chan and her sisters race to see her off at the train station. As the train is leaving with Hikari, Kokoro-chan gives her a book by Himiko and the photos that they took of them together.
The Library May Disappear: Our favorite librarians receive a letter from the new mayor stating that she is going to be visiting the Library. Kokoro-chan, Iine, and Aruto decide to welcome her with style as they prepare the library and force Umezekawa into a bunny costume. When the mayor finally arrives, she asks to talk to Iine, Aruto, and Kokoro-chan in private. It seems that she and the city councils have decided to cut funding for the library for the greater happiness of the citizens of the city. Iine, Aruto, and Kokoro-chan all come to terms with what it would mean to them if they were to lose the library. Aruto swears to work full time as Himeko Kirin to support the library, while Iine, with the help of their father’s diary (the same one that Funny Tortoise tried to steal), readily accepts the fate they are facing. Kokoro-chan hears about their father’s diary and opens up the book...
Joldy’s Diary: Kokoro-chan begins to read her father’s diary- the one with the lock. It begins at a time when the country was at war and a young soldier was just transferred to the city to defend it.

Last Exile
Japan's top anime creators bring a richly romantic action/adventure fantasy in an imaginary world where retro-futuristic sky permeate the skies. Against this lavish background are the lives of young and heroic van ship sky porters-Claus and Lavie-who are forced to take on the mission to deliver a mysterious girl, Alvis, to the battleship Sylvana. Before they know it, they become entangled in an aerial adventure between two countries gripped in an eternal war of magnificent battleships.
(Action/Adventure).

First Move: The episode begins as Tatania, in a vanship tethered to the Sylvana, searches the skies for the enemy fleet and the Sylvana attacking. Somewhere else, Lavi and Claus, vanship pilots, sets out to go to work, taking a three star risk to deliver a letter from Lady Mad-Thane in Minith to her husband in the middle of a battle. With the letter, they also promised to deliver Admiral Mad-Thane's daughter's letter as well. Reaching the battlefield just as it was getting wrapped up, it would seem to be an easy job until the Disith fleet sprung a surprise attack against the guild regulation against the Minith fleet...or so it would seem.
Luft Vanship: With the fleet under surprise attack and ship after ship becoming crippled or destroyed, Claus and Lavie are kicked out of the deck before they could deliver their message personally to Duke Mad-Thane. Reaching their vanship to escape the battle, they realize that they still have Mad-Thane’s daughter's letter with them and only Lady Mad-Thane's letter was left at the deck. After hearing the PA announcement of the fleet's second in command, they decide to hijack the PA system in order to deliver the message. After clearing out of the battleship, they decide to see if the guild would put a stop to the battle and realizing that they won't do anything, Claus decides to help by releasing his entire smoke canister. As the Minith fleet is about to be destroyed, the Sylvana shows up and rescues them.
Transpose: Claus and Lavie enter a competition. Although placed to start last in the vanship race, they are still pretty confident that they can win with the new booster that they have installed in their vanship. During the competition, they began to pass all the other vanships and have even caught up to the lead vanship. At the last pass, they managed to catch up to them and was about to use their booster to secure their lead when another vanship came out of nowhere, nearly collided with them and then crashed into the forest. Unable to leave the vanship alone, Claus and Lavie abandon the race to see if the other vanship pilots are ok. Upon landing they find them badly injured but not from the crash and the dying pilot asks them to complete his final mission for them and hands them a document with seven stars on them. As Claus and Lavie make their escape with Al, the girl that was being transported, the other vanship pilot uses himself as decoy to allow their escape.
Zugzwang: Claus and Lavie are arguing whether to take up such an important and difficult mission. At the same time, Claus is getting to know Alvis, the little girl that they need to transport safely in their mission. She seems attached to Gatie, the other vanship navigator who died, and Claus couldn't get himself to tell her that she is dead. Deciding to leave the next day, they sleep the night away to get some rest before a difficult mission. During the night, Alvis wakes up and when she looks outside the window, she sees another one of those star shaped mechs that chased her in the other vanship right outside Claus and Lavie's window and upon recognizing her, the mech began attacking the house, forcing Claus, Lavie and Alvis to leave immediately. Arriving safely at the point where they are supposed to take Alvis, they relax a bit when another star shaped mech grabs Alvis and Lavie and Claus try to take Alvis back. It seems hopeless until a gunshot rings out and the mech is disabled. A man holding a gun suddenly appears out of no where....
Positional Play: Claus and Lavie has managed to successfully manage to deliver Alvis to Alex Row, the man who rescued them from the star shaped mech. However, Claus, dissatisfied with the outcome of Alvis' delivery to Alex, decides to chase after him and the Battleship Sylvana. Repairing the damage to their Vanship and stealing fuel from the star shaped mech, they race to catch up to the Sylvana only to be shot at and nearly killed. Inside the ship, they stumbled into the hanger where Claus gets into a fight with the mechanics and was saved by the arrival of Tatiana who tells them to go to the bridge if they want to see Alvis. Upon reaching the bridge, they find Alex Row as Claus passes out from the injuries he sustained from the fight with the mechanics.
Arbiter Attack: Alvis wakes up in her room in the Sylvana and begins to wander in its hallways. She ends up in the hangar where she discovers Claus and Lavie's mostly messed up vanship. There, the mechanics finds her hiding behind the vanship and the ship's second in command takes her away to meet Claus, who has been badly beaten up, and Lavie who is watching over Claus. Claus tries to convince Lavie and Alvis that they should run away from the Sylvana together, but Lavie refuses. Clause then meets with Alex, but their meeting is cut short when an enemy attacks.
Interesting Claus: Claus and Lavie goes out and pilots a combat vanship and finds out the hard way that being a combat pilot is a whole lot different than being just a normal vanship pilot. Claus' piloting skills attracts the attention of Dio who decides to go out and "play" with Claus and Lavie for a bit. Completely outclassed, it is only through the fact that Dio just wants to play around with them and Tatiana's return that they managed to survive their first combat. Afterwards, the whole crew celebrates fending off the attack. Later on, Claus and Lavie are looking at their poor broken vanship and Lavie breaks down, cries and apologizes to Claus for passing out during combat and that she wants to do better the next time around.
Takeback: The crew of the Sylvanna docks and the crew decide to play in the casino. Lavie as well wanders around and meets a soldier named Mullin Shetland that she and Claus have met before while making a delivery to Duke Mad-Thane. They have a conversation about events and nobles and Mullin's aspirations to sign up with the Goliath. Elsewhere in the same casino, the mechanics and the nobles of the Goliath start having a conflict of classes. When Lavie puts her bet on the surefire loser at the race track, by a stroke of luck, it starts running like it never had before. At the same time, Mullin presents himself to the captain of the Goliath and is thoroughly insulted and disgraced. Lavie comforts him and they watch the race together with Lavie telling him to hang on in there just like her "sleepyhead" racer. As Lavie's bet is about to win, one of the Goliath's captain's men cheats so that the captain wins his bet and that becomes the last straw and everything erupts into a brawl. The brawl is ended by the casino owner and Alex Row telling his crew to come back to the Sylvanna. When the Goliath's captain is insulted by Alex's actions he challenges him to a duel without knowing or caring to know who he is and soon regrets that when he and his staff sees the Sylvanna emerging to answer the challenge of the Goliath. Deciding to cheat, they fire upon the Sylvanna before the signal to begin the duel is given and Alex decides to use the Goliath as the test subject of the Sylvanna's newest weapon. As soon as the signal is given, the Sylvanna open fires decimating the Goliath completely.
Calculate Alex: The Sylvana heads out for the endurance race for vanships. Fixing a junked vanship and going through a tough race course while making sure that the vanship runs for that amount of time. While Alex Row is in an auction, Tatiana is to perform a mission and Claus and Lavie are participating such a famous race. While there, they discover that Dio and Luciola are there as well and they challenge Claus again, otherwise, it won't be fun for Dio. In the process, Dio makes Tatiana mad and during the race, where Tatiana is supposed to deviate, she completely ignores the mission and focuses all of her attention to crushing Dio and Luciola. Meanwhile, in the auction, Alex Row bids 10,000 million claudia for the legendary item "Exile."
Swindle: In the auction, Alex ends up betting for Exile against Delphine, the queen of the guild. It goes on to ridiculous amounts until armed men forces Alex to stop betting for the Exile. Meanwhile, Claus and Lavie are doing their best to win the race and Tatiana finally has gotten back on tract to completing her mission with Alistair. Back at the auction house, Alex is taken away by the mysterious noble who sat beside him and the armed men and the noble revealed himself to be the father of the captain of the Goliath that he had sunk in a duel. As they are about to carry out their vengeance on Alex, the lights go out due to Tatiana and Alex makes his exit as the Exile is being brought to Delphine. Delphine may have gotten the Exile, but it would seem that Alex has gotten what he came there for. At the race, Claus and Lavie wins by a narrow margin and Dio and Luciola decides to give them a lift to the Sylvana.
Develop: Back in the Sylvana, Dio and Luciola are taken as prisoners of war. Elsewhere, the king has decided to send out an order to have the "cargo" transferred from Alex's protection to the Urbanis. Back in the Sylvana, Lavie keeps on working to repair their vanship and Dio decides to help out by fixing Claus' fighting vanship. As the Urbanis approaches, it requests a meeting between the two captains and Claus is selected to be Alex's guard and Allistair volunteers to be Claus' navigator. As the two captains meet, Dio and Luciola find their way to the engine core where they discover that the Sylvana is powered by guild technology. Back with the two captains, Alex refuses to surrender Alvis and the clue to Last Exile that he has acquired at the auction house. Back in the Sylvana, Dio meets Alvis and from reciting the clues to Last Exile, something strange happens to Alvis as well as the atmosphere surrounding the Sylvana.
Discovered Attack: Alex Row and the Sylvanna must fend of an attack from a former comrade of his. He has decided to use the Dragon's Fang, a place where rock formations rises from the earth like claws, to be the battleground where he will make the stand against a fleet of 5 Urbanis type ships. The crew is on high alert as Claus becomes Tatiana's navigator and the vanship crew scouts on ahead to be the Sylvana's eyes in the cover of clouds surrounding the Dragon's Fang. As the Urbanis fleet captain reads most of Alex's move and has set an ambush within the Dragon's fang, but Alex's careful manipulation of the battlefield has allowed him to easily sink two of the five Urbanis type ships. While Tatiana attacking the main ship, Alex sinks two more ships, but the stress of the battle has taken its toll on the surrounding and the rock formation collapses on the Sylvana and as Tatiana's vanship goes down in the midst of battle, Claus catches a glimpse of the Sylvana about to sink.
Isolated Pawn: Having been shot down, Claus and Tatiana finds themselves stranded in the dessert. The realization that the Sylvana has sunk and that Allistaire is gone, forces Tatiana to start remembering her past and it has made her virtually useless while Claus tries to get the vanship fixed. While working together, Claus and Tatiana finds out more about each other. Claus finds out that Tatiana is from a minor noble family that has been forgotten, and Tatiana is surprised to learn that Claus and Lavie are the children of the legendary vanships team Head and Valca. After finally having fixed the vanship, they decide to head out to a base that the Sylvana uses from time to time only to be caught by soldiers and witness transport rockets landing where the base is.
Etude Lavie:
Fairy Chess: The image of Tatiana in Claus' overall haunts Lavie and has withdrawn herself from everyone else and at the same time, Tatiana has become a maelstrom of confused emotions, unable to determine how to react and what to think about Claus anymore. IN the meantime, Vincent has been demoted for sinking the Sylvana and losing the key to Exile. The king, upon hearing the loss of the key, decides to wage was against the guild. The prime minister, upon realizing the mad path the king has decided to take decides to involve the princess in order to stop the madness the moment news came to him the Sylvana is still around. Back in the Sylvana, Claus discovers a picture of his and Lavie's dad that was in Alex's room and decides to confront him about it. Alex tells him that the vanship that they believe to be their dad' is actually his and that he was the other vanship pilot that flew with their dad on that mission and how Maestro Delphine watched them day and merely smiled at the sight. At the same time, message from the prime minister reaches Sophia, the ship's XO and she has to decide whether to leave the ship and reclaim her role as princess or stay on by Alex's side.
Breakthrough: Sophia has returned to the capital as the princess in hopes of getting her father to stop his mad decision to wage war. Instead, the king has locked her away in the tower. In the Sylvana, Tatiana has finally returned Claus' shirt with a warning. Alex has already committed himself to the decision of attacking the guild to kill Maestro Delphine. Elsewhere in the ship, Mullin has grown weary of life as a mechanic and longs to return to his former profession as a musketeer. As the Disith forces are about to attack the capital, Claus informs Lavie that the vanship they believed to be their dad's belongs to Alex and asks her to leave the ship though he will remain behind. Lavie of course refuses, and tells him, it's not their dad's or Alex's it's a vanship that belongs to them. Back in the capital, the remainder of the Disith fleet attacks as the king and Maruis, the man who raised Sophia kills each other off. Just as Sophia is about to be killed herself, she is rescued by Vincent who takes her back to the Urbanis.
Making Material: Sophia, in the Urbaniz, has ordered the cease fire of all forces, and when the king's second in command, finds out that the king is dead, tries to kill her by shooting down the Urbanis, Vincent fires a torpedo at him and his men. With the arrival of Duke Mad-Thane, a cease fire is implemented as Duke Mad-Thane gives the Disith forces two choices-return fire and be fired upon or withdraw. As Sophia, Vincent, and Duke Mad-Thane try to figure out their next move to save the land, the Sylvanna is being repaired and Mullin is growing more and more uncomfortable with his current life their and yearns to be a musketeer once more. Things are still awkward between Claus and Lavie with Tatiana still between them. When a courier arrives at the Sylvanna, Claus gets inspiration from them to keep on flying. When the Sylvanna lands for repairs courtesy of the now empress Sophia, Claus and Al meets Ralph Wednesday's older brother by chance. There they also reunite with Hurricane Hawk, Fat Chicken, and Sonny Boy who are there training to be fighter vanship pilots. Form them, they realize that it is because of them that the skies that was once free for vanship pilots, have been turned into a battlefield-all due to their actions and the inspiration that Duke Mad-Thane got from them when they helped out his fleet.
Promotion Sophia: Sophia has a made an alliance to free their world from the control of the Guild and Maestro Delphine as she prepares to receive her crown. Back with the Sylvana, Mullin has decided to leave and become a musketeer once again. Saying fond farewells, Claus, Lavie, Al, and Mullin part ways and hopes for the day when they can meet again. As they are leaving, Alex orders Claus to go on ahead in a vanship to congratulate Sophia on her coronation. As Sophia's coronation is taking place and the festivities are going on, Claus with Tatiana and Dio with Luciola take part in the vanship display only to have the celebration intruded upon by the guild. Upon seeing the guild and confirming Maestro Delphine's presence, Alex looses it and orders to open fire on the Guild warship hovering on top of Sophia's ceremony. Thankfully, he is restrained from making a mistake and is calmed down.
Sicilian Defense: The Sylvana has returned to the Dragon's Fang caverns and have discovered that the Urbaniz with Sophia, now empress, as a royal passenger waiting for them. From there, she boards the Sylvana, gives a royal order to locate Exile with the information provided by the surviving Disith forces and resumes her role as the ship's XO. From there, the Urbaniz and the Sylvana are to head on to the grand stream and hopefully, locate Exile before the attack date set up by the alliance. Lavie and Claus are back to normal, but Dio has been acting peculiar ever since returning from Sophia's crowning ceremony. His birthweek is about to come and it is something that he dreads. Upon entering the grand stream, Claus and Lavie deiced to see for themselves what it is like within the grand stream, the place where their fathers died and at the same time, the Urbaniz launches its first acoustic torpedo in order to locate the Exile.
Grand Stream:
Rook Dio:
Queen Delphine: Within the guild fortress, Claus and Alvis enjoy the company of Maestro Delphine as she shows the lavish lifestyle of the guild that wastes the precious things that people living in the surface could never afford or have in their entire lifetime. Dio undergoes the Trial of Agoon and is mentally altered to be suited for the task. While Dio and the next generation of guildsmen kill each other to get the sword that will proclaim the owner as the next maestro, Delphine, using truth serum secreting roses, gets three of the four mysterion that activates Exile from Alex. With the revelation that he does not know the fourth and that the Trial of Agoon is finished. Delphine returns her attention to Dio who has managed to survive and claim the sword.
Castling Lucciola: Seeing how badly messed up Dio has become due to the modifications made on him, Alvis and Claus are horrified while Lucciola just silently takes care of Dio and with regret, recalls the days of his youth spent by Dio's side. He recalls the time when he first met Dio as Delphine gave him to Dio as a gift and how Dio gave him his name. He recalls the kindness that Dio has shown him-from sneaking food from the table and feeding him when Delphine made it clear that he is not to be fed, to the times he spent with Dio aboard the Sylvana. With this in mind, he helps Claus and Alvis escape the guild and asks them to take Dio with them. Giving a gift to Alvis that will connect them to the Sylvana, Lucciola rushes of to confront Maestro Delphine about Dio's fate and kills everyone that got in his way, including his own brother. Having beaten Cicada, Delphine gives him a ring to wear and listens to his request. Upon hearing his request, Delphine asks what Dio means to him. Lucciola unhesitantly replies that he is his friend and at that moment, Lucciola turns into dust and is scattered.
Sealed Move: With pieces of the Guild fortress falling around them, Claus, Al and Dio make their escape and somehow manage to end up in the residence of Duke Mad Thane where it has been turned into an emergency hostel. Alvis makes friends with Duke Mad Thane's daughter who is working as a nurse helper and Claus, fearing how grave Dio's condition is, decides to leave him there. In the Sylvana, the mechanic crew comforts Lavie as Sophia plans to take part in the war against the Guild. Flying off, Claus and Al head for their former home and take shelter in its ruin. There, Al discovers Lavie's notes on how to be a navi that she made when she was little while Claus forages for some food amongst the rotting stock that they have. While having dinner, the amulet that Lucciola gave Al began to glow and they hear a voice from the Sylvana, but quickly goes away. Later that night, the pendant glows again and this time they are able to communicate.
Quiet Move: Having made contact with the Sylvana, Lavie is overjoyed to know that Claus and Al are safe while Sophia asks him to meet up with the Sylvana. Al and the fourth mysterion is the only hope that they have left against Exile that is seemingly under Maestro Delphine's control. They fly off into the Dragon's Fangs with Al acting as navi using Lavie's notes. There, Ethan meets them and tells them to switch to a fresh vanship with Allis as the fresh navi. Heading of to the second relay point, they discover that Tatiana and her vanship will take them to the next part of their journey. Meanwhile, Maestro Delphine intercepts their communication to the Sylvana and sends two starships to kill Al. On the way to the third relay point, they are attacked, but Claus manages to destroy one as the Casino shoots down the second. Leaving Tatiana behind, she assures Claus that he isn't just a bystander in these skies, he IS making a difference. Meeting with Godwin and Gale, Lavie is the final navi along with their repaired vanship modified for the Grand Stream. Carrying the four mysterion with her, they fly off into the Grand Stream where Dio is waiting for them.
Resign: With Exile lashing out at both Guild warships and the Disith and Anatoray fleets, it has turned into a war of attrition to wrest the freedom of the skies and the world from Maestro Delphine and the Guild. Claus, Lavie and Al, meeting Dio in the Grand Stream, finds that he is still mentally damaged as he attacks them and regresses back to the time when they where racing in the caves. After having beaten them to the "goal," Dio turns back on the navi's seat tells Lucciola that they have won against Immelman. Finding Lucciola not there, Dio cries out and laments. "Is it because I told you to jump out?" Suddenly a gust of wind knocks his vanship and Dio falls to his death. While the battle against the Guild fleet is going on, Maestro Delphine laughs at all the ship that are being destroyed and goes over to Alex to taunt him. Alex manages to free his right hand and strangles Delphine. With Delphine dead at Alex's hand, he whispers the name Eustis, his lover dead for ten years now just as Sophia orders heavy anti air rounds fired at Delphine's warship. As the ships explodes and Delphine's corpse is tossed away, Alex looks to the sky and whispers "to the sky!" Making their way through the Grand Steam and into Disith, Clause, Lavie, and Al see the end result of the battle as Claus and Al prepare to read the mysterions. Having read them all, Exile's outer shell drops away, the Grand Stream dissipates, and lands becomes calmer. Inside the Exile, Claus and Lavie discovers their fathers' vanship, their job cylinder and their corpses. A lasting peace is finally set for Disith and Anatoray and we return to Claus and Lavie's fathers' houses. There Claus, Lavie, Alvis, Tatiana, Alistaire, Sheta, Mullin, and a lot kids live together. Claus and Lavie flies overhead and smiles as the sky that they loved so much truly has become a a place of boundless freedom now that the guild no longer controls it.

(Adventure)

This movie truly is showing it's age. The dubbing is bad! It's as if the VA's (voice actors or seiyu) don't speak English at all! I wish I got the subbed version (although hey, I did get this as a freebie so what the hell am I complaining about). Plotwise, it's alright I guess. It does seem rather cliché though - especially looking at the time period. I mean a music that opens the door to new possibilities (Minmay from Macross or Robotech anyone?).

If there's one thing you need to know about me when it comes to giving me Anime presents, it's that I luuuv swords and sorcery type fantasies. Friends of mine often times wonder why I love series of that genre when they think it is really bad. That being said, you can bet on it that when I say that this is a horrible film, that this really is a horrible, horrible film. Come on people, realistic bouncing boobies does not a great story make!

Will the girls of the Hinata Apartments accept him? Will his bones ever knit? Welcome to Keitaro’ life. Welcome to Love Hina.
(Comedy).

Love Hina is a pretty good series- not great or anything special, but good enough to be rated above average in my opinion. It's also pretty funny to see Keitaro get punched and kicked into orbit (some of them looks pretty damn painful too). Truthfully, I liked the manga better (they didn't have the valentine one in the anime!). It is worth renting if you can find it, or you could just convince a friend who already has to loan it you for a while (a couple of years is good enough).

All-Girls Dorm with Outdoor Bath: Hot Spring: Meet Keitaro Urameshi, a second year ronin aiming for Tokyo U (Todai). Add a dormitory for girls run by his grandmother that he thinks is an inn. Now add several girls and a hotspring incident. What do you have? The first episode of Love Hina of course!

When she finds out that he’s the new manager, she tries to keep as far away from him as possible, although she does feel strange whenever he’s around. Could it be love, or just a case of the flu? Either way, it won’t be pretty for Keitaro!
The Tokyo U Promise from 15 Years Ago: Diary: Keitaro Urashima sure has a large gap between how he perceives reality and how reality is. Take into account this diary of his. With his secret out, Keitaro pleads to the resident to be allowed to stay as he prepares for exams. Of course, he will also act as the manager of the dorms and perform his duties there. Of course, that reality gap is probably the only way he can survive as he perceives himself the hero while the girls of the dorm work him to the bone and completely abuse him.
