Saber Marionette J
Japoness, like the rest of Terra II, is a land without women. In an attempt to fill this void, society has devised female androids called marionettes. But they are simply soulless machines designed to help with routine tasks. Until, that is, an ordinary young man named Otaru discovers three sleeping marionettes possessed with a special “Maiden Circuit” that gives them the unique ability to have emotions. But there is little time for Otaru and his friends Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry to celebrate, as Japoness is the target of a cruel tyrant of the neighboring country of Gartlant, who is determined to rule the world. Now, it’s up to Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry to use their super strength, speed, and agility to save their homeland, and protect their new master, Otaru.

Saber Marionette J Again
Everyone’s enjoying life after the evil specter of Gartlant has been vanquished. Suddenly a new marionette appears. The beautiful Marine joins the group, but she harbors a great power within her circuits. So great in fact that an unknown enemy will stop at nothing to make sure that her power belongs to them. Now, Lime, Otaru, and the entire gang must push themselves to the limit to overcome this newest crisis!
(Comedy)

The next installation of Saber Marionette J. Not quite as good as the first one, but still quite enjoyable.

Episode 01: Everyone’s Happy: The war is over and Japoness (with the help of the Saber Marionettes) is triumphant. Now, everyone’s settling down into a more relaxed lifestyle and finding the time to enjoy things. Faust has even sent his Saber Dolls to Japoness to learn how to be more human from Otaru.
Episode 02: The Beautiful Marine-Blue: Just as everyone is getting more accustomed to a more laid-back pace, a new marionette appears. Marine quickly wins over Lime and the others and becomes the newest addition to their family. And Marine begins to learn what it’s like to not be alone.
Episode 03: Suddenly, A Love Comedy: Marine seems to be acclimating to a “normal” life with the others, except for one thing: she’s deathly afraid of Otaru. And not just Otaru, she’s scared of all men. After a lot of discussion, Lorelei finds the answer. Could it be? Is Marine really going through puberty?
Episode 04: The Silent Assassin: An assassin is dispatched to destroy Marine, but she’s not a lonely, scared marionette anymore. She has Lime and her other friends to watch out for her. And the assassin may find it more difficult to destroy her now that she’s discovered her own special powers.
Episode 05: Time Of The Heart’s Awakening: Lorelei and Otaru are kidnapped by the assassin robots. In return for their freedom, heir captors want Marine. But Lime and the others won’t give up so easily. Can the Marionettes defeat these seemingly unstoppable combat machines and rescue their friends? Even Faust lends a hand.
Episode 06: Return To The Sea: The truth about Marine is at last revealed! Otaru, Faust, Tiger, Luchs, and Panther all work to find a way to save her, but it looks bad. Lime, however, won’t give up on her friend and risks her own life to help Marine. What will the outcome be?

Sailor Moon TV
Serena, an ordinary 14-year-old, discovers that she is really Sailor Moon, a superhero with an extraordinary past that goes back 1,000 years! But the evil forces she escaped on the Moon have followed her, and each day Serena must battle them to save Earth!
(Adventure/Comedy)

Uh, yeah, it's Sailor Moon, the series released here in the US about a decade past. All in it's gloriously mangled translation, musical chair VAs, and 80's style public service announcements at the end of each episode. On the bright side, it did create a fresh new wave of anime lovers upon it's release and probably started the new wave of anime coming to American television and slowly erasing (or at least putting the memory in a far off corner) the damage done by Urotsukidoji and a single idiot reporter with an agenda. Rent the TV version kiddies, it's good for nostalgic and historic value as well as the laughs that the edits brings (they are now in Crossroads, California...with the Tokyo Tower in the background and Juban written all over the place/Serena eats donuts that looks way too much like pork buns/and Zoycite...as a girl!). AH, the good ole' dayz.

A Moon Star is Born: At the mall, women literally shop till they drop, because their life’s energy is being drained by the jewelry they’re buying! Serena must summon the power of a magic locket given to her by Luna, a talking cat, to fight a hideous alien disguised as a saleswoman!

An Uncharmed Life: At a sacred temple, young girls buy lucky charms from an alien in disguise, then suddenly disappear. Sailor Moon hasn’t got a prayer of defeating the powerful alien until she helps Raye, the daughter of the temple’s old caretaker, transform into Sailor Mars!
Cruise Blues: Serena is jealous when Raye wins two tickets for a sunset cruise and invites Amy instead of her. But Serena gets on board in a flash when she disguises herself as a professional photographer. It doesn’t take a camera for Serena to get the whole picture: all the guests on board are in grave danger!
Shutter Bugged: The eye of the camera is Amy and Raye’s worst enemy when a famous photographer, possessed by the evil Neflite, takes their pictures…and with it their energy. Sailor Moon finds that rescuing her fellow scouts from Neflite’s negative power is not exactly a snap!
Jupiter Comes Thundering in: Seven Negaforce warriors are reincarnated as ordinary humans on Earth. One of the villains comes back as Game Machine Joe, a computer arcade whiz and a nice guy-but not for long! Sailor Jupiter makes thunderous debut when Joe’s ugly past catches up with him!
Sailor Venus Makes the Scene: Who’s the impostor who’s a dead ringer for Sailor Moon-and could this mean the end for Tuxedo Mask? Sailor Venus makes a grand entrance in the midst of deadly trap set by Queen Beryl’s evil emissaries, Zoycite and Malachite!
A Crystal Clear Destiny: Serena and Darien have a fateful showdown with Zoycite, but she tricks them into giving her the seven rainbow crystals. Trapped in a crumbling tower of ice, Serena and Darien must reveal their true identities to each other in a desperate attempt to save their lives!
A Reluctant Princess: To everyone’s surprise, Serena’s second secret identity is revealed! Her moon power has doubled, but is it strong enough to save an unconscious Darien who has been cosmically kidnapped and brought to the feet of the super powerful Queen Beryl?
The Past Returns: The world as we know it is poised for destruction by the Negaverse. During Sailor Moon’s brave battle against the forces of evil, her mother, Queen Serenity, returns and takes her back 1,000 years to a place that is filled with secrets that answer the question s of the future!
Day of Destiny: In a last ditch effort to win her war, the ominous Queen Beryl dispatches the sinister Doom & Gloom Girls to systematically destroy each and everyone of the Sailor Scouts, in the explosive conclusion to this adventure!

Sailor Moon R: The Doom Tree Series
Serena meets Alan and Anne, two schoolmates who pass themselves off as brother and sister. Little does Serena know that the couple has a horrible secret-they’ve been sent by the Negaforce to steal Earth’s energy and feed it to a mysterious “Doom Tree.” When Alan and Anne call upon a string of hideous creatures to help them, Sailor Moon and her Scouts are called into action…and it turns out to be their biggest and most awesome adventure ever!

A promise of two children from a long time ago begins a conflict that almost destroys the Earth. It’s up to Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and the Sailor Scouts to defend the world in the name of love and justice.
(Action/Adventure/Drama)

An ok movie. Nothing deeply profound in it that makes it stand out as its own story, although the theme music is awesome. So awesome in fact that the American censors changed it in the genral release here because it was "too violent." Rent this one.

Sailor Moon S The Movie
Luna falls for a kind human scientist who happens to be a bit of a dreamer and believes in legends. Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Scouts try to save the world from the powers of the Ice Queen. While the Sailor Scouts struggles against the formidable powers of the Ice Queen, Luna’s wish to be human for a day is granted and she in turn grants the kind human scientist’s dream of going to the moon.
(Action/Adventure/Drama)

Another ok film. This time, they mix in the elements from the story of Kaguya, the moon princess, and that of the Snow Queen. Rent this one.

Sailor Moon Super S The Movie

(Action/Adventure/Drama)

Bleh, I can't believe some people actually loved this one. I didn't and can't recomend it at all.

Saint Luminous Missionary High School
Kaihe, a high school boy, discovers that his grandfather has died and left on his will that he is now the owner and chairman of Saint Luminous, an all girls high school that emphasizes on giving young women the freedom that they yearn so that they may become what they desire to be. At the same time, some of the girls have begun to mysteriously vanish - some witnessed by others in plain sight. Now, to prove his worth as a chairman, he must, on top of attending classes in St. Luminous, solve the mystery and bring the missing girls back safely. With the help of Sister Akane, his best friend Ryu disguised as a girl, his cousin, and several of the students, he just might succeed in solving a mystery that is bound to him and the school through time, memory and blood.
(Drama/Mystery/Supernatural)

Despite the first sentence of my description (which will undoubtedly turn away quite a few of y'all automatically), St. Luminous is actually quite good. It is NOT a harem anime! It is an excellent story about the desire of people to be free and attain that dream they yearn for no matter the passage of time. It seems to be a sleeper, but it is very good. I highly recomend this! The ending answers most of the questions presented in the series and the only thing I could complain about is that I WANT MORE!!! Go get this now!

Samurai X: Reflections (OVA 2)
Known throughout all Japan a s the Hitokiri Battousai (sword-bearing assassin), Rurouni Kenshin is now a lost soul cursed to seek atonement for his bloody past. Even the peace that now exists as a result of Kenshin's sword brings him no solace, driving him to wander far from those he loves. His wife, Kaoru, steadfastly awaits his return as she mourns his absence. Will Kenshin come home before she dies of grief?
(Drama)

This is the end of the Hitokiri Battousai legend. Some fans of the Rurouni Kenshin series hated the way that they ended it with these OVA episodes, but I rather liked it. It was rather nostalgic in its execution. If you loved the first OVA's better than the TV series itself, go out and buy this.

After so Many Years have Lapsed, Part 1: A long time has passed since the war in the continent has ended. It is now the turn of the century and Kaoru still dutifully waits at the harbor awaiting her beloved's return. Tsubame, worried about Kaoru's welfare, sends Yahiko to see to her and gets there to see that she has collapsed due to her illness. While sleeping, Karou dreams of old memories. She dreams of the time she first met Kenshin while she was out looking for the murderer who claims to be the Hitokiri Battousai that wields that sword of her father's school. She dreams of the time that Kenshin came to live with her in her dojo and she learned more about the man behind the legend. She dreams of the time when she feared that Kenshin would leave forever after facing Jinnei Udou, or when he left again for Kyoto to settle with the ghosts of the revolution. Finally, she dreams of the time when she sought to soothe his sundered soul after he has returned from his confrontation with Makoto Shishio, his successor.
After so Many Years have Lapsed, Part 2: Kaoru reflects back on the time that she has spent with her husband. She remembers the time when Kenshin had to deal with the ghosts of his past dealing with Tomoe Himura, Kenshin's first wife and the reason why he swore to never kill again. She remembers the conflicting emotion that she experienced while held prisoner by Enishi Yukoshiro, Tomoe’s younger brother who is hell bent on avenging his sister. She looks back at the time they spent happily together as a married couple. Meanwhile, Sanouske has found Kenshin weak and dying from his illness and has helped take care of and help him return to Japan, to his beloved wife's side once more. There, amidst the row of cherry trees where he bade Kaoru goodbye when he left for Kyoto, when Kaoru thought that he would never return to her ever again, they meet again. In the end, their son walks down that same row of cherry trees with his girlfriend and reflects on his parents.

Samurai X: The Motion Picture
A decade ago. the deadliest assassin of the Meiji Revolution swore that he had killed for the last time. Peace doesn't last, however, and as the flames of revolution rise once again, Kenshin must take up his blunted sword to protect the innocent. Will he save the Meiji government that so many died to establish, and his newfound friends, from their own mistakes? Or will he fall victim to his bloody past, slain by demons of his own creation?
(Drama)

I sorta liked this movie, but I would have liked it a whole lot more if they didn't keep on repeating this one scene over and over and over again. Yes, we all know it's an important scene, but do we have to see it a dozen times in the hour and a half or so that the movie runs? Now, if they only emphasized that scene twice to thrice, it would have been so much better. And so, because of this, I can only recommend that all you Ruroni Kenshin fans to rent this one out.

Scrapped Princess
Scrapped Princess takes place in a middle ages setting on the continent known only as Dust Bin. Here, magic is real and swordsmen roam the countryside. Nearly 16 years ago, the prophet Grendel prophesized that a princess will be born to the royal house who shall bring about the end of the world upon reaching her 18th birthday. Ordered to death by her own father and thrown away, she has managed to survive all this time as a lowly peasant, but when the Mauser Faith Church found out about her existence, her adoptive brother and her sister become her only protection against those who would do her harm as they try to unravel the mystery of the prophecy, the Mauser Church and Lord Browning the Devil.
(Action/Adventure/Comedy)

It's not an awesome kick ass series, but pretty good enough in my opinion. Definitely worth watching at least once.

Serial Experiments Lain

(Mystery/Suspense)

All I can say is that NEVER, ever attempt to watch all of these episodes in one sitting. It will mess up your perception of reality and leaving hanging between worlds! I'm not kidding! It really is quite messed up. I guess, the point of the series is the search for identitiy for the self as well as the world surrounding the self amidst drowning in an onslaught of new technologies and a sea of information more readily available to everyone.

Weird: Lain is a 13-year-old girl. She is quite shy and only has three friends and only one of those is her best friend. She is usually by herself and doesn’t know much about computers or electronics. Her in computers is one day piqued when she receives an e-mail from a classmate who has just recently committed suicide.

(Adventure/Drama/Fantasy)

This is a pretty good series set in a whimsical neverwhen in Europe. Excellent music matches well with the scenery and overall mood of the plot. The story is very nostalgic- even the arrangement of the story. May not be for some people, But I still recommend that you watch this.

Ahh, yes. The arrangement of the story is a wee bit bizarre - mainly, the last two episodes. It has been suggested, and I agree, that those two should be watched first before the rest of the series should be viewed. It actually occurs way before any of the main story begins - it's more of like a look back into her early years and really gives you a good background for who the players are in the story and why the Throne dilemma is such...well...a dilemma. Maybe they just mislabeled the episodes ^_^;;.

The Throne Of Yord: Tiarra arrives in pursuit of Kagetsui her former beloved in an effort to retrieve the Throne of Yord, a magical artifact that her realm needs in order to survive. She learns that she was not the first sent to retrieve it though- that the first pursuer is someone she knows and that she has joined Kagetsui.
Forest: Tiarra learns a terrible secret about her best childhood friend that connects to her mission. The reason why Kagetsui stole the Throne of Yord and why Lina and Leon have joined forces with him becomes apparent.
Awakening: The Throne of Yord has gone berserk and swallowed up Kagetsui, Lina and Leon. Tiarra must now go inside the Throne to rescue them. Unfortunately for her, the Throne does not want to relinquish its prisoners.
Morning of Prayer: Tiarra, Lina, Japollo, and Leon have joined forces against the Throne of Yord. At the final moment, Tiarra learns that all is not as it originally seems to be in the world within the Throne. Will she be able to decipher the secrets of the Throne in time to save everyone?
The Guardian World: A young Tiarra summons her very first partner. She must now convince him that she is trustworthy, but that is more difficult than it sounds. To attain her partner, she must first learn things she may not want to learn about herself.
The Festival Of Wind: Years have already passed and Graham has become much more overprotective when it comes to anything concerning Tiarra. His loyalty and his love for his partner is beyond description and it is this very quality that shall lead him into disaster.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime
In the world, there are things that happen far from the light that most people don’t know about. There are forces at work that only a few people are willing to actually do something about. Among those dark creatures is Roah, a vampire that was made instead of born. He seeks a life that will last forever at the expense of countless human lives. For centuries, he has gained power through human sacrifice. To prevent him from achieving his goals, the Moon Princess, one the most powerful “true” vampires, awakens from her slumber to hunt him down.
(Horror/Sci-Fi)

Tsukihime is based on a hentai game, but the series is not hentai. The game itself is made by fans. It is a pretty good story in a dark sort of way. Of course, being a vampire story, Karmie-chan liked it instantly and being dark, I liked it instantly. Yes, go get this now!

Inversion Impulse: Shiki Tohno got into an accident when he was child. Ever since then, he sees lines everywhere that only he can see. Forced to live with relatives away from his father and sister, He is asked to live in the family house when his father dies. This is when the weirdness begins. On the way home, a murderous rage overcomes him and he kills a girl only to wake up in his room with no trace that he ever committed a murder. The next day, on the way to school, that same girl he killed is waiting for him in the same park that he killed her.

(Comedy)

The Man Who Can Become Either Demon or God: Rin lives a somewhat normal life. He has been living with Kaede and her father for the past 8 years ever since his parents and her mother died in a car accident. Perhaps, the only inconvenience to him is the Kitto Kitto Kaede group, or Kaede's groupies who feel like they have to beat him up to get close to Kaede. Excitement has began to stir in the school though with the rumors of transfer students from either the realm of the gods or demons. Going home by himself, Rin runs across a girl who is of the race of gods inthe supermarket and a demon girl in the park. The strange thing is that both of them seem to know who he was without him telling them. The next day, an even bigger commotion is caused in his class when the transfer students are introduced and their fathers, the king of the gods and demons both reveal that he has been chosen as a potential husband for them both. Based on his decision, he can become either the next king of the gods or demons. When Sia the god princess and Nerine the demon princess finally show up, they turned out to be the girls he met yesterday. After school, Rin and Kaede finally find the reason why their neighbors have left recently - all the houses on either side of them has been taken over by either Sia and her dad or Nerine and her dad!
I Wanted to See You: As things are begining to settle down over the initial excitement over Rin being chosen as potential fiance for both Sia and Nerine, things quickly get worse as groupies for both of them gorm up. Of course, just like Kaede's groupies, they all decide that they have to beat Rin up to get to Sia and to Nerine. Unfortunately, they don't seem to want to give up in chasing him either - even in school! Deciding to go to and leave school earlier to avoid them, he meets Primula on the way home when he decides to go to the arcades. There, Primula literally attaches herself to him and won't let go. Back at Kaede's house, Sia, Nerine and their dads are there as well to celebrate their coming there and Rin finds out that Primula is Nerine's neighbor and close friend who came to the human world just to meet him after hearing so much about him. She also decides to live with him and Kaede.
Do You Remember?: Summer vacation is just around the corner which means that so are the finals. Most people are worried about it and have begun to cram for it. Rin is no exception to this and so does it seem that neither is Sia. Through the rainy days, Rin decides to help her out in the subjects she doesn't like studying the most - English and History, the subjects that doesn't have anything to do with her realm. As the finals comes to a close, they decide to celebrate their liberation from their worries, but Rin is unable to go when he is jumped and chased by Kaede, Nerine, and Sia's groupies once more. Escaping them, Rin prepares to head on home when he sees Sia waiting for the rain to stop. Although she loves the rain, she hates getting wet in it, so the two of them head on home sharing the same umbrella.
An Omelette of Happiness: With the finals out of the way, things have started to become carefree once more. Only occasional problems appear - like Nerine destroying a building when a couple of classmates insulted Rin. Having their lunch at the school's roof, they talk about their homemade bento and decide to have a picnic that Sunday with everyone making bento. Nerine, who is not very good at cooking, couldn't say anything and soon, she starts leaving school early and heading there earlier than Sia, Rin, and Kaede. At the same time that Kaede is teaching Primula to cook, Nerine is also learning to cook properly from Asa. Rin gets worried about her knowing that she keeps on disappearing like that and Nerine confesses as to what she's been doing, afraid of disappointing him. Come Sunday, Nerine unveals her bento masterpiece - an omelette!
Where I Belong: Kaede has been feeling a bit under the weather these days because Rin hasn't been spending as much time with her and uses up more of his time with Sia, Nerine and others. Forcing herself to work harder than she really should, Kaede gets sick and collapses on the floor while trying to fix their breakfast and bento. Deciding to skip school that day and spend it taking care of Kaede, Rin finds out first hand how hard it can be to do what Kaede does on a daily basis. Later on, Nerine, Sia and Asa drops by to help them out and while Asa and Sia fixes the food, Nerine cleans house while Primula is stuck in her room grinding some leaves. Telling her it's fine to slack of some times so that she doesn't get sick, Kaede realizs that Rin still cares about her even with the new competition for his affection. The next day, Kaede is back to nromal with Primula's medicine, although it would seem that it's Rin's turn to get sick.
Smile: Leaving Primula home to go to school, they wonder if she ever gets lonely being by herself since she never smiles or shows any emotions at all. Primula, by herself, notices that there is a tear in her doll's arm. This doll seems to be important to her, an item that Nerine (it would seem) gave to her a long time ago, saying that it is an important memory of her first and final love. She decides to go to school to get Rin to fix it. Accompanying her home, they get drenched in the rain and Rin realizes that she doesn't have any bra so they decide to buy her some proper underwear that Sunday. Out shopping, Asa, Kareha, and Sia enjoy dressing her up in all kinds of underwear as Kaede and Merine try to keep them from going over board. Waiting outsite, Rin remembers about the cat doll that she was trying to get when they first met and decides to get one. Finished with shopping, Rin presents her with the present and Primula smiles for the first time in front of them.
Romantic Love Scramble: Asa's days have gotten a bit more complicated than usual when Takizawa, captain of the soccer team and one of the most popular boys in school, confesses his feelings for her. While everyone gossips about it Asa is left to sort out her feelings about a boy she hardly knows and repurcussions of answering either way. She also thinks back to the time she has spent with everyone else including Rin. When she gets injured in PE, she decides to ask Rin to take her home when Takizawa offers to do it. There, she reminisces of the time they first met in junior high when Kaede wanted to get some cooking lessons from her to the present time spending every day as friends. With that, she is finally able to give Takizawa a response and rejected him in favor of keeping her days just the way they are a bit longer.
The Panty Date: Reading from a hororscope that the next day would be a perfect day to advance her romantic pursuit, Sia decides to pick up Rin after spending the night doing things in preparation. From picking her "jackpot" panties to making a detailed plan on how the date will go, she decide to leave nothing to chance. But things doesn't seem to want to go smoothly. They run into Mayumi in the karaoke bar, Nerine and Itsuki in the clothing shop, Primula and Kaede in the Arcade, Kareha in the cafe, and even though they didn't realize it, Asa in the train. When every event that she had planned fails, her last hope is the dinner in the hotel. On the way there, they pass through a park where they meet a lost boy. Rin decides to keep the lost boy company until his mother returns. Looking at the time and seeing that they are about to miss the dinner, she gets reminded of the first time they had met when he played with her when she got lost and decided that this is why she loves him and tosses out all her plan for the perfect date. On the way back, Rin cathces a glimpse of her detailed date plan and decides to spend more time with just the two of them to make up for all the disappointments of that day.
Beach Survival: What summer vacation would be complete without a trip to the beach? There, everyone enjoys their time from Nerine learning to swim from Rin, Itsuki hitting on every girl (and mistakenly doing that to their teacher who happened to be there), Kareha acquiring another cute waitress uniform, Primula making sand castle that keeps on getting destroyed by the ocean, and Asa using Rin as a human shield when her top gets washed off into the sea. After lunch, Rin and Sia goes off to relax in a beach mat. Waking up from dozing off, they realize that they had floated away and desperately tried to find others by paddling to shore. Once ashore, they try to make their way through the seemingly endless jungle. After getting injured, chased areound by an animal lurking in the darkness, the two of them are ready to resign themselves to believing that they have accidentally wandered into a different world and there is only the two of them. As they are about to share a tender moment, the others interrupt and they soon realize that they just floated to the other side of the island and they just walked through the length of the island to get to the other side where everyone else is at.
A Confession in the Moonlight: The events that took place at the beach has Sia's dad convinced that they will be getting married. Going overboard as usual, he borrows Primula to practice giving Sia away to Rin, going of to bridal centers to find the best place to get married and try out wedding dresses for Sia to wear. Of course, this starts a major rumor that quickly spreads like wildfire. Spending time together, Rin and Sia gets an uncomfortable feeling when people start staring at them. When they find out from Mayumi and Itsuki though, their reactions are varies. Rin gets worried and starts thinking of setting things right, while Sia just goes of into day dream mode about it. The waves are felt by more than the two of them of course. Kaede gets depressed, Asa starts acting weird, and there is the matter of Nerine who meets with him to say goodbye now that he has "chosen" Asa over all of them. Asa, on her way back, witnesses Nerine's earnest display of her feelings and realizes something. Asking him to come to the school with her, Sia apologizes that she has been a bit selfish and that she just realize that to accept his feelings also meant to accept the feelings of all those who ever had feelings for him as well and that one day, she will become someone worthy enough to accept all of that responsibility.
The Ladies of Summer: A two perspective story from the veiwpoints of the day from Mayumi and their homeroom teacher. As soon as the class is over and the summer vacation has begun, she runs out the door and literally runs into Rin. Falliung on top off him and giving him a full view of her panties, she walks off pissed that he found it more as a nusance instead of a turn on. Drowning herself in a parfait, she soon discovers that she has lost her wallet and is forced to work there as a waitress. Over excited, she strips butt nekked, throwing off ALL her clothes just to put on the uniform and loses her panties in the process. Now she has to make sure not to bend over or people get a full view of the goods. When her shift is about over, someone walks in while she's standing near the door and the gust of wind flips her skirt up, giving everyone a sneak peek! That same day, their teacher scolds Mayumi for running off the moment class is over and her day entails dealing with other students, being hit on by guys (including Itsuki by accident...again), going home to do various things around the house, and finally, going to the bath house that Mayumi's family runs. There the day ends for the two of them.
The Frozen Summer: Stdying for and struggling to complete their summer homework, Rin, Sia, and Nerine work on it together as Kaede and Primula work on house chore. While drawing his summer art, Rin meets up with Asa and the two of them wanders off. Meanwhile, back in their house, Primula suddenly collapses. Finding out about it, Sia and Nerine's fathers have a little talk with him about Primula. From them, he learns that Primula is neither god nor demon, but an artificial life created for an experiment on recreating life after it has been lost. When he tells Primula that she can only be cured if she returns to the demon world, she refuses to go. Fearing that she might die, Nerine pleads with Rin to convince her to return and be treated because she doesn't want to lose another important person to her. Rin goes back and pleads with Primula to return and this time, she agrees. As Rin wonders if he has done the right choice, a scientist talks to Sia and Nerine's fathers and tells them that he doubts if Primula could ever return to the human world ever again.
House of the Setting Sun: Within her dreams, Primula dreams of returning to where RIn and Kaede is and of a girl that looks like Nerine wearing the same plain clothes that she is. Back in their house, Rin and Kaede is starting to feel the void that Primula's absence has caused. At the same time, Nerine's dad only tells him vague things about how things are going with Primula's treatment. Nerine knows better though and correctly suspects that her father has been lying to her and her confrontation with him brings up the painful memory of Licorice, the one that Nerine lost before. Seeing how depressed he is, Sia and Nerine plots to get their fathers to somehow tell Rin themselves how serious Primula's condition is. When Rin hears about it though, an even greater rift is formed as Kaede cries her eyes out and Rin withdraws even further. When Asa discovers what has happened, she takes it upon herself to have a talk with Rin and patch things up. Trying to convince Asa and Nerine to let Rin and Kaede see Primula again, Nerine runs out on them.
Licorice: Catching up to Nerine in the park where they first met, she tells them the origin of Primula and the two others that came before her. Licorice was the second child. She was Nerine's clone made just for the experiment. She was a child full of life just as Nerine was sickly child. When it seemes that Nerine is about to die and all healing magic has failed to make any changes, Licorice, knowing that she is slowly dying anyway, offers to give what remains of her life to save Nerine and the two of them merge. Every positive trait that she has, she attributes to the piece of Licorice still residing within her soul. Returning home, Rin finds out from Kaede that Asa has colapsed and he goes off to visit her the next day. There, she tells her a tale of her own from her childhood and how she hated her mother for giving birth to her the way that she is. This allows Rin to realize that even as people pushes others away, they still need someone to stay by their side. With this, Rin firms his resolve to go see Primula once more.
Things Regained: With Nerine, Sia, and Kaede in tow, Rin goes off to the world of demons to go see Primula once more to which Nerine and Sia's father acquice to his wish. There, Primula's condition suddenly deteriorate as she suddenly begins to radiate a massive amount of magical power. Trying to get his voice through, Primula sleeps and dreams of Licorice, the one she considers her older sister. At imminent moment, Licorice within Nerine takes over and blocks all of the power radiating from Primula as she regains control of herself and things return to normal. Back in the human world, Nerine and Rin visits Asa who is still recovering to thank her as Nerine reallizes something between her and Rin.
Kikyou: With the incident involving Primula behind them, things quickly return to normal. Actually, it's better than normal with Primula and Nerine both becoming more reactive to their environment. In fact, Nerine seems to becoming less and less dependent on merely Rin, her father and Sia. She is starting to make new friends to hang out with and when Sia talks to her about this, she reveals to him that Licorice is gone and it is now just her alone. With this, she vows to stay by Rin's side no matter what on her own volition, not as a way of fulfilling Licorice's love. At the same time that this is happening, Sia also notices that Rin seems to be getting closer to Asa. Reaching a breaking point, a strange metamorphosis seems to occur within Sia. The next day, Sia intercepts Rin on his way to pick up Asa and help her carry the groceries to school. She asks him out for a date right that instant!
Honest Feelings: Taking him away for an impromptu date, Sia seems to be acting peculiarly. She starts doing things that she would normally never do to ensure Rin's mind doesn't wander away from her. Meanwhile, Asa wonders where Rin has gotten to and Kaede gets worried that something might have happened to him on the way to school. When Rin finally asks Sia to stop and that there are things that he needs to do, she gets mad, cries and runs away. Rin, goes home to discover that Kaede has called the cops and reported him as kidnapped while Sia goes home and earily starts arguing with herself. Heading for school the next day, things seems to return to normal, although Sia seems to be a bit down and keeping to herself. Later on, she asks Rin to meet her alone and reveals to him that she has two souls residing within her flesh - that of her own and that of her twin sister who was never born. She also tells him of her realization that there is someone that he already likes, but vows not to give up even after that. After all, in heaven, polygamy is a perfectly acceptable practice.
The Person That Rin Likes: Having realized that Rin actually has a thing for Asa, Nerine and Sia teams up to get him to ask her out on a date. Things are made worse by Itsuki and Mayumi's involvement. Having agreed to go on a date with him. Nerine, Sia, Mayumi and Itsuki formulate a "fool proof date" that he will follow when Rin takes Asa to the amusement park. In the amusement park, the two of them spend their time together as everyone else follows them closely to make sure that the date is successful. Of course, things don't go as planned with Rin unable to cope with some of the rides, Asa deciding to stray from the formulated battle plan and Rin trying to get back to the schedule. In the end, Asa having realized what is going on long ago, forces everyone to come out of hiding and gets mad at Rin for going through with it. A date that is asked out of a sense of duty is no date at all she tells him as she walks off. He then promises to himself to somehow be able to relay his feelings in a more honest way the next time and heads home. Having returned home, he finds that Kaede is still waiting for him to return with his dinner although he told her that he will be eating out.
Unforgetable Memories: With Rin spending more time with Asa and going out on dates with her, Kaede is starting to feel lonely without him. She remembers the time when their mother and Rin's father died in the accident. Having been sick when her mother died, Kaede's condition was just beginning to degrade when Rin gave her a reason to live by telling her that it was his fault that they died. He tells her that he asked them to come back from their vacation earlier. With this knowledge, she begins to secretly make Rin's life a living hell while having an appearance of getting along to everyone else. When she finally finds out that the reason that they came back was because her mother was worried that her fever wasn't dropping and that it wasn't Rin's fault all along, she began to break down again. To make up for the time that she had been so mean to him, she began living her life fulfulling his every need to the point that she has become dependent on him. With Rin appearing to be drifting farther away from her, Primula notices that she is starting to act strangly. When Rin comes home one night with Asa and the two of them appeared so happy together, Kaede freaks out at Asa which tiggers her condition once more and she collapses as Rin tries to get Kaede away from her.
Unforgotten Sins: Rin rushes Asa to the hospital when she collapses and Ama talks to Rin about Asa. She blames herself for giving birth to her with that condition and remembers the time when she was still small and used to yell and get angry at her for giving birth to her that way. At the same time, Kaede is with Primula and she is falling apart again when she came to the realization that she has hurt someone close to her again. She also misses the time that she and Rin were the only ones who are close to each other and she resents herself for hating Asa for it. For the next few days, Rin begins skipping school to be by Asa's side in the hospital. Without Rin, Kaede really begins to fall apart to the point that one night, she climbs into Rin's bed naked trying to get him to stay with her. Freaked out, Rin runs out of the house in the rain and blames himself for causing Kaede to be so dependent on her. Back in his room, Primula is with Kaede and she asks her if things are fine the way they are - if she really is doing all of that for Rin or for herself. The next day, Rin comes back home and tells her that it might be for the best if he stops living there with Kaede.
The Whereabouts of Feelings: Kaede has fallen into a state of depression and has locked herself in her room. In class, Rin looks back a few dayys ago when he told her that he is leaving the household. Kaede has made her entire existance revolve around Rin that she can't find any meaning in doing anything else and that is why he has decided to leave. Asa, Nerine and Sia soon finds out that he is moving away from Kaede and his reasons for doing so. When Primula discovers that Kaede has disappeared from her room, she runs off to look for her and finds Rin with Nerine and Sia instead. Going to visit Kaede, Asa finds her wandering on her own. The two of them come to an understanding about Rin and Kaede returns home. Finding her, Rin confronts Kaede once more and makes an effort to get everything cleared up once and for all. Looking for Asa after making sure that Kaede returns home, Rin finds her on a hilltop. As the sun is beginning to set, he confesses his love for her and asks her to be his girlfriend. Asa, knowing how much pain it must have taken to make his feelings clear, accepts and as the sun sets, the two of kisses for the first time.
To a New Tomorrow: Having finally cleared all the obstacles in his way to Asa, Rin seems to be a bit relieved as of late. Of course, people seem to be a bit pissed at him too for being overly happy now that he has a girlfriend as the news spread that he has confessed his feellings to Asa. As the incident with Kaede has been cleared, he prepares to leave Kaede's house to live on his own. With help from everyone, he is able to move to his new place smoothly. Things are going well with Asa as well and now there is an infinite chance for happiness with her as they spend most of their time together from going on dates to doing things like shopping for much needed items like a long time couple. To celebrate Rin's moving on his own, he and his friends have a party (which resulted in the Sia's father getting knocked out the window by Sia with a chair and then frozen in place by Primula). Having finally settled in, the two of them in each other's arms, prepares to kiss by the light of the sunset pouring though the window when Asa suddenly collapses on the floor.
The Revealed Truth: When the doctors cannot figure out what is wrong with Asa, Ama decides to reveal to Rin the reason why she is extremely ill. Ama is actually the first subject believed to have died in the Yggdrasil experiment. She is Licorice and Primulas predecessor. She survived and ended up in the human world before the gate ever opened, there she gagve birth to Asa - a child who posses powerful magic and a frail human shell. Visiting her in the hospital everyday, Rin tries to get her to use magic to save her life. Asa refuses to do that though. Even if she could die from the over abundance of magic in her body, she simply refuses to use it stating that she is only human. She uses her mother's sadness and the fact that she didn't inherit her demon blood as an excuse. One night, with Rin sleeping next to her bed, she walks out feeling that her body has reached its limit.
And...The Most Important Thing: Having found Asa where he confessed his feelings for her, Rin tells her that her mother doesn't want a her to be human, she wants her to live. He then cuts his wrist to force her to use magic and tells her that is she dies, he might as well follow her to the grave. Using magic to heal him, Asa saves both of them. Three weeks later, everything is slowly starting to return to normal. Primula is also attending their school now as a freshman. Everyday, Rin works hard as he does morning delivery for papers and study as hard as he can to attend the college that Asa is aiming for. As the days goes on, the girls still love him and their love for him will just continue to grow.

It turns out that there are four more girls in the house - Shirayuki, who cooked the meal, Rinrin who likes to make things, Yotsuba, the detective wannabe, and Aria, an adorable, if a bit slow girl. All of them were incapacitated by the ultra spicy breakfast! Not only that, but it seems all 8 new girls are also his little sisters and they are all going to live there with him as well! Then there is Mami who snuck in there to get out of the cold and got caught sneaking out. He mistakes her as his 13th little sister and she too, will live with them now!

Finding no escape from his adorable little sisters, even in school or his classroom (with Karen and Mami there), he has had enough and decides to run away and get back to his old life. Together, they scour the town looking for a teddy bear just like the one that Hinako used to have with no luck. Going home with Hinako in his back, Hinako tells him that she no longer needs the teddy bear since Wataru's back is nice and warm that she can sleep. Getting back home, the runner Jiji catches up to him and delivers something that they have lost - a box containing a giant teddy bear just like the one that Hinako uses! With all the excitement, Wataru decides not to leave afterall.

Having lost his last place of solitude, he gets mad at them for sending him so much e-mail when they can just talk to each other. He quickly regrets that after realizing that they are only doing that because he has been spending so much time waiting for and responding to Aiko. He quickly apologizes to ignoring them by sending all of them responses via e-mail. In the end, he finds out that Akio has been playing a trick with him and that he is actually the girl he knew to be Aiko!

When they decide that they want a prince in the play as well, Yamada tells them that he has prepared for that situation as well. Of course, his idea of being their prince is quickly shot down in favor of Wataru becoming their prince. Having no time to actually revise or practice anything, they have decided to make it an improv performance. With different princesses from different stories all on stage, everything quickly turns chaotic as different stories are merged into one. Watching them all get excited over it, even Mami decides to help by doing most of the sewing for them. While Wataru is trying to get some lunch since everyone else is too worked up over the dresses, Sakuya is feeling nostalgic at the sight of herself in a wedding dress and steals Wataru away to the chapel. There the two of them go through a mock wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, their play ceremony is disrupted by the arrival of the other girls and they all go through the same mock ceremony. As night falls, they realize that in their zeal to make dresses, they just tore up all of their sheets to make them.

Finding their way back home after getting drenched, they soon discover that Maria has gotten sick and has become feverish. At the same time, they all need to do their summer homework since they spent all that time on the other side of the island having fun in the sun when they thought that they were lost in an abandoned island. At the same time that Wataru is helping his sisters out in doing the summer homework, Yamada is trying to finish his and Mami is stubornly trying to do hers all by herself. To celebrate the end of summer and as a little something for his little sisters, Wataru creates a fireworks display for all of them. As the day comes to a close, Wataru realizes that he himself has forgotten to do his own homework! Trying to finish up his work, Karen comes to his room to helpo him out a bit.
My True Feelings: Trying to find something he can do just for his little sisters, Wataru asks them if there is any one thing that he can do just for them. The moment that he says this, Mami begins to daydream just what to ask him while everyone else asks him for simple things like reading a book to them or going out to have some with in town. Karen, staring at the light that iluminates the painting in the stairways, decides to use hers by asking Wataru to find a replacement light with her. It is easier said than done when every electric store in the island doesn't seem to carry it. The light itself is so old that none of them have it anymore. They are in luck though when they head for the antique store and the owner happens to have one just like it that he has received from the previous owner which he decides to give to them at no charge.
Aria's Ribbon: When they are given an assignement to draw something about during the autumn, it started to give Wataru things to think about. As everyone is busy trying to figure out what to draw, Aria loses her ribbon to a gust of wind and she chases after it. Stopping at a tree that has yet to change colors, she meets a strange jiji who accompanies her around town as she searches for the ribbon. Wataru, looking for his sisters, finds Aria from the elevator. When he runs to her though, she has already vanished with the jiji. As Wataru is searching for where she might have vanished, all he finds is her umbrella. Soon, she finds her ribbon with the help of the strange jiji and Wataru finds her. It seemed though, that the strange jiji that has been helping her is the spirit of the tree. As they look at the tree that Aria looked at in the beginning, it changes color right in front of them they find the bonnet ribbon that Aria gave the strange jiji on it. She then draws Wataru underneath that tree for her project.
Kaho Does her Best: The autumn school sports festival is close at hand and Wataru is apprehensive about it since he doesn't like sports fests at all. He soon realizes that he is not the only one worried about it. Kaho, the klutzy sister that she is, is worried that her skills with the batton isn't improving at all. Back at home, they soon notice that Kaho seems to be more tired and even more klutzier than usual. Seeing how much effort she has placed on it, Wataru wonder what he can do for her. To show his resolve and support for her, he decides to join the relay team. As his sisters take part in the various events, Wataru prepares himself to do the relay race. When the race begins with Yamada as the first runner, they take the lead. The next runner in their class' lineup is Mami who then hands it off to Karen who passes it on to Wataru. Unfortunately, Wataru trips and the lead that they got with their first three runners are wasted. In one of them, they get reverted back into a prvious life when the two of them were lovers. When Yamada comes over, he decides to wake up Wataru. When he falls over him, he fears that he might be dead. In the past, Wataru and Chikage are still being chased by the grim reaper while Yamada, panicked that Wataru migh tbe dead, plops him in a sitting position and makes it look like he's playing chess with him. Back in the past, Wataru manages to free Chikage from the grasp of the grim reaper. When he chose to go bak instead of staying there forever with Chikage, she gives him her cross pendant as proof of their connection, even across time. Soon, Wataru wakes up in his room and notices that Chikage is wearing that cross pendant that she offered him in the dream that he saw of their past lives.
It's a Lunch of Love: With Shirayuki always bringing him lunch, Wataru never has to worry about what he's going to eat. Yamada, jealous of all the different delicious food that he gets to eat at lunch, conspires to get some of that meal from Shirayuki as well. When Mami gets mad at him for trying to steal some of the lunch before Wataru even has some, he gets the idea that it is ok to get the left over. He manages to convince Shirayuki to make more and more for Wataru by telling her that it is nutrition for the heart so that the chance that he won't be able to finish it gets higher, leaving him scraps to pilfer. When they go to the lake for the school day off, Shirayuki makes pizza and everytime Wataru finshes one off, she keeps on replacing it. When he can't eat anymore, Yamada shows up and Wataru asks her if it's ok to let Yamada have the leftover since it would be wasteful to just throw them away. The next day, Shirayuki makes too much by accident and Yamada tries to get some when Mami stops him again. Shirayuki then gives him bento that she made for him.
Christmas Love Destiny: Christmas is just a few days away and the girls have something planned as a surprise for Wataru. They decide to send out Sakuya to distract him while the rest sets it up for him. As the days before Christmas rolls on, Sakuya manages to get Wataru to go out with her as the two of them have fun doing things on Christmas (poor Yamada - all he wanted was to be invited to Wataru's little sister's Christmas party, but instead he is stuck working as a store santa). Finally, on the appointed night, Sakuya brings Wataru home into the chappel to find that all of his sisters are already in there and they sing a choir song with Wataru as the sole listener of their performnce. Right after that, they all exchange gift as a white Christmas rolls around peacefully.
Me Two for Aniki \(^o^)/: Rinrin has always been the mechanicaly enclined one. When she starts doing motion capture on her sisters, Wataru starts wondering what kind of creation she will making this time around. When he gets invited to her room, he's surprised to find two of her! She has been making a robot that looks just like her. When they activate it for the first time, Rinrin2 shorts out the breaker circuits and she and Wataru goes into town to buy a new one for her robot. Fixing her up, Rinrin activates Rinrin2, but she still needs a few bugs to be fix. Her control and accuracy needs work and she doesn't seem to have a very long battery life. Going out on a walk with Rinirin, Wataru finds out the reason why Rinrin created Rinrin2. She's thinking about going to study in America and is worried about Wataru so she created Rinrin2 to support him even when she is gone. Wataru comforts her about her worries and tells her not to worry about something that might happen in the future and enjoy the moment instead. In the end, Rinrin continues to work on Rinrin2 so that she may be activated again sometime in the future.
Aniichama, It's Check!: Yotsuba's first dream of a new year consists of her being the detective heroine with Wataru and a alter ego that is a rival. When they are doing their new year's cleaning, Mami accidentally breaks one of the legs of the music box that Wataru got for Christmas. She doesn't tell anyone though and just puts it there like it wasn't broken. At the same time, some of their stuff is missing. Yotsuba decides to spring into action by investigating who the thief is and where their stuff is at. Later on, while listening to the music box, Kaho is startled by a squirrel and knocks the music box causing the leg to dislodge, thinking that she was the one that broke it. With 2 days needed to fix the music box, Yotsuba decides to play the role of phantom thief Clover (heh-he, get it? Yotsuba Clover - four leaf clover) as well to mask the disappearance of the music box while it is being fixed. Of course, Wataru knows from that start that it's Yotsuba and decides to play along. When the repairs aren't done by the appointed time, Yotsuba played at getting herself kidnapped by Clover. Having put things under control, their secret gets uncovered when jiya shows up with the repaired music box and they all found out that Kaho and Yotsuba "stole" the box and Mami broke it. In the end, Chikage is the one who retrieved all the "real" missing items. It was the squirrel that stole them. At the end of the day, Mami gets a mesage from her boss that he will be coming over. At the same time, Akio mails Wataru that he'll come for a visit.
First Guest: With Akio coming over, Wataru and his sisters are going all out in cleaning up Welcome House to make it look really good. Everyone is excited with anticipation at finding out what Akio is like since he is a friend of his. Everyone except for Mami. It seems as if Akio is the one that she has been getting her orders from. Asking Mami to show him around the island, Akio tells him of an amusement park in the island that they don't know about. When they get there, they find out that it is still in the process of being opened, but the crew allows them to play around in order to help them with the maintenance. Alone at last, Akio reminds Mami of her duty and it is to get Wataru to leave the island using any method whatsoever - a duty that she has been neglecting since she's been having so much fun. It is also a duty she doesn't want to do since she thinks that Wataru has become a whole lot better ever since he has arrived in the island and met his sisters. With Mami refusing to do what he tells her to do, Akio decides that he will personally make his move to get Wataru out of the island and back on track to where he should be. That night, he gives him a paper that states he has been accepted into the high school he wanted to go to and that they corrected the mistake that was made when he failed the exam.
Premonition of Good-bye: With the letter of acceptance from high school in Tokyo at hand, Akio is trying to convince him to return there where life will be the way they used to be before he left. At the same time, some of his sisters are having a premonition of him leaving them to return to his old life. The next day, Akio arranges it so that he and Mami spends some alone time in the Welcome House while everyone heads for school so that she can convince him to back. Thinking about it, he decides to go to Tokyo on the holiday the next day with Akio to check things out. Mami, already having confessed that she is not his sister, thinks about things and realizes that she doesn't want him to leave his sister behind either, but Akio, her older brother keeps getting in the way of trying to convince Wataru not to leave for Tokyo. That following day, Akio, having pulled a fast one on the fisherman jiya, leaves for Tokyo with Wataru and leaves Mami behind who has electd to stay in the island. As he leaves on boat, his sisters, having realized that he might not come back, tries to see him one last time, but doesn't make it.
I Want to see you...Oniichan: With Wataru back in Tokyo, everything seems dull and lifeless back in Welcome House. His sisters have all gotten depressed without him which shows just how much they relied on him up until that moment. In Tokyo, Ajio is trying to get Wataru to forget about going to Promise Islands and his sisters and get him to remain in Tokyo where they will have a "bright future." Mami, no longer able to bear all the glum atmosphere of Welcome House. leaves for Tokyo to get Wataru to return. At the same time, without Wataru, Promise Island's future is starting to look darker and darker. Thinking about whether to stay or not, at one end of the argument is jiya, who really was all the other jiyas that he has met and on the other hand is Minai who doesn't care whether he is back or not. When Mami arrives to try and convince Wataru to return to Promise Island to his sisters, she isn't making much progress. Trying to remind him of the time he spent in Promise Island with his sister, Mami is shocked to hear Wataru tell her that he is not going to go back to that place ever again.
The Promised Island: Wataru has decided not to go...to that high school in Tokyo. After all, it may be for the elite, but his sisters won't be there and without them, it seems pointless to go. He returns to the island via the pathway that appears every month, but when he gets back to the Welcome House, there is no one in there waiting for him. Berating himself for not noticing what he had there, he nearly drowns in knee high water where he finds Karen waiting for him. What he hasn't realized is that his sisters are scattered across the island waiting for him to return home. He meets some of them on the way back to Welcom House with Karen and the rest were waiting for him back in the house. The next day, when Wataru announces that Mami isn't their real sister, he is surprised to know that everyone else already knew that but him. She has also left behind a letter thanking all of them for the past year and how they treated her like a real sister even though most of them knew that she wasn't. Soon, things begin to slowly return to the way they were before. Wataru has finally remembered coming to Promise Island once before and meeting his sisters. In school, Wataru has discovered that there are two new transfer students in his class - Yamagami Mamimi (Mami) and Akio. Back in the resort house that they visited, jiya is there finishing up the book on all the hardships that they faced and leaves the house. On the desk, the yellow hat that Wataru has seen the girl in his dreams is there.s

Slayers, The (1st Season)
Welcome to a world where magic reigns and monsters lurk behind every corner. Into this land of deadly dragons and menacing magicians comes our heroine- Lina Inverse, a cute, fireball-throwing sorceress who steals from the wicked and gives to herself! Along with Gourry, a handsome but dumb-as-a-rock swordsman, Lina challenges the forces of not-not-so goodness as she seeks truth, justice, fame and gold! Well, mostly fame and gold...
(Adventure/Comedy/Fantasy)

Slayers-one of my all time favorite series. There is a major difference in quality between this first season to the second and third since the last two were made years after this one, but quite enjoyable still. Even now, a series like Slayers is still quite rare. Not many out there does a fantasy that is mostly comedic in nature. Yes, I do so love my copy of this series (and with only 90 bucks for the whole series too!)

ANGRY? Lina’s Furious Dragon Slave!: Lina Inverse, sorcerery genius supreme attacks and robs a bandit gang. The remnants of the gang ambush her on the way out and Lina is “rescued” by the dashing and handsome swordsman, Gourry Gabriev. After rescuing Lina, Gourry is disappointed that he rescued a little kid and not a babe as he thought she was. Gourry then decides to accompany Lina because it is dangerous for a “little kid” to be all alone. In the next town, they realize that they still haven't dealt with the bandit gang's most fearsome weapon-a real live dragon!
BAD! Mummy Men Aren’t My Type!: Running away from the angry mob after Lina destroys the entire town in the process of "saving" it from the dragon, Lina decides to sell off the loot she "acquired" from the bandit gang with disastrous results! Then comes Zolf, the sorcerer from the bandit gang, along with some trolls to take back what Lina has rightfully stolen.
CRASH! Red And White And Suspicious All Over!: Zelgadis, Zolf's boss, has personally come to make a deal with Lina for what she has stolen. After a negotiations breakdown, Zelgadis swore that they are now enemies and he is willing to do whatever it takes to take back what is rightfully his. Later that night, Rodimus, one of Zelgadis’ henchmen attacks Lina and Gourry in the middle of the night. It seems hopeless until Rezo the Red Priest, one of the five sages of age, comes to their rescue.
DASH! Run For It! My Magic Doesn’t Work?!: Oh no! What is Lina to do? It’s that time of the month and her magic has become useless! To make matters worse, Zelgadis, Rodimus, and Dilgear have been waiting for them and are about to spring a trap! Even worse is that Lina gets separated from Gourry and has to fight Zelgadis on her own without the aid of her magic.
ESCAPE! Noonsa, The Flaming Fish Man!: Lina has been captured and taken for interrogation. With Dilgear and Zolf unable to "convince" Lina to "volunteer" the information regarding the whereabouts of the items in question, their most fearsome interrogator is called in- Noonsa the Fish Man!
FOCUS! Rezo's The Real Enemy!: For some strange reason, Zelgadis who captured Lina, is now helping her escape and fighting his own men. Is he plotting something against our heroine or did he really change his mind? Also, for some strange reason, Rezo the Red Priest is now trying to kill Lina Inverse!
GIVE UP! But Just Before We Do, The Sure Kill Sword Appears!: Rezo sends a monster along with the usual assortment of Trolls, Goblins, and Berserkers to retrieve the Philosopher’s stone and kill Lina and Zelgadis. A monster possessing unbelievable magical powers and is immune to all physical attacks. All hope seems lost until Gourry reveals the Sword of Light, which killed the demon beast Zanifar in one stroke, appears. In a single slash, Gourry manages to kill the monster that has been giving Lina a hard time.
HELP! Shabranigdo Is Reborn!: Rezo demands that Lina return the Philosopher’s stone and holds an entire town as his hostage. If she doesn't give him the Stone, he will turn the whole town into stone and move on to the next town until Lina gives him the stone. Lina and the gang heads for Rezo's tower and learns the reason why Rezo seeks out the Philosopher's Stone. To cure his blindness, he is willing to break the seal on Ruby-Eyes Shabranigdo, the Dark Lord of this realm.
IMPACT! The Eve Of The Menacing Battle!: One of the seven pieces of the Darklord Ruby-eyes Shabranigdo is reborn. Even Lina’s dreaded Dragon Slave cannot cause any damage against the powers of the Darklord. With the rebirth of the Dark Lord, all creatures of darkness seems to have gone insane and started attacking everything in sight! Can this be the end of the world? Is there anything that can stand up to the powers of the Dark Lord Shabranigdo?!
JACKPOT! The Great Life Or Death Gamble!: Zolf the sorcerer and Rodimus the swordsman is dead. The only thing that stands against the Darklord are Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis. Even with their combined powers, it still looks pretty hopeless. Finally as a last resort, Lina gambles everything on her most powerful spell-a forbidden spell that summons forth powers from the Lord of Nightmares, a Dark Lord beyond even Shabranigdo. If she miscasts the spell, the whole world would be destroyed in an instant, but if she doesn't cast the spell...
KNOCK OUT! The Seyruun Family Feud!: The world is saved and Zelgadis has gone his separate way. Lina and Gourry are back to trying to earn money the easy way again. Lina becomes protector of sorts for Prince Phil and his brother as they go to a creature infested cave and Gourry becomes an unwilling guide to a hero worshipping crazed girl.
LOVELY! Amelia’s Magic Training!: Amelia, the hero worshipping daughter of Prince Phil, has just witnessed Lina crush a bandit gang with her devastating ultimate black magic spell- the Dragon Slave. Amelia is extremely impressed and has decided to be Lina’s apprentice and learn the Dragon Slave herself no matter what! Lina of course, shudders to think of what the consequences would should Amelia ever learn something that devastating.
MONEY! Crush Those Bounty Hunters!: Lina, Gourry, Prince Phil, and Amelia have reached Sayluun. Lina and Gourry expect a large reward from Prince Phil, but is sidetracked by all the bounty hunters after her and Gourry. It would seem that someone naughty has placed wanted posters all over and placed a reward on Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis’ heads! If they ever manage to get away from all the bounty hunters after their heads for the reward, they will make sure that whoever put the reward on their heads pays big time!
NAVIGATION! An Invitation To Sairaag!: Lina, Gourry and Amelia are still on the run from bounty hunters and would be heroes. That is not their main problem though. Their biggest problem is where the heck can they find enough food to satisfy themselves? Maybe Colonel Sanders can help them out?
OH NO! Lina’s Wedding Rhapsody?: Lina, Gourry and Amelia have decided to help a rich heir out of his problem and kick out a free loading sorceress for a price (5,000 gold pieces and a horse and carriage). To do so would mean that Lina has to pose as the bride and go through a mock wedding. Will Lina be able to remember the reward long enough to fulfill her end of the bargain or is this another disaster waiting to happen?
PASSION! Shall We Give Our Lives For The Stage?: Lina, Gourry and Amelia hide themselves amongst an actor’s troupe. The question is can Lina keep herself from revealing herself before they can get to their destination. It doesn’t help any that the play they are performing is titled “Give Us Justice and Peace: The Death of the Abominable Sorceress Lina Inverse” nor is the fact that Zangulus is still hot on their trails and still wants a rematch with Gourry.
QUESTION? He’s Proposing To THAT Girl!: In order to get to Sairaag, Lina must go through a dangerously steep mountain or ride a boat in a harbor town full of would be heroes. In order to go through town unmolested, Lina and Amelia decide that the best way to do that is to disguise themselves-a fter all who would pay attention to three loving sisters? Miss Lala (Gourry disguised as a girl) catches the eye of "the great hero" Valuun who claims that he was the one who killed the Darklord Shabranigdo.
RETURN! The Red Priest Is Back!: Lina, Gourry, and Amelia finally make it to Sairaag and meet Sylphiel, one of Gourry’s friends and a shrine maiden who informs them of the person who placed the bounty on their heads. Lina decides to go see this person personally and discovers an old friend and old enemy waiting for her. Wait a minute, didn't he die once before?
SHOCK! Sairaag Falls! In order to determine if the Rezo they met is genuine one, Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, Amelia and Sylphiel head for the old part of Sairaag. On the way there, they are ambushed by Rezo in the streets of Sairaag. During the battle, Rezo unleashes an unbelievably powerful magical attack that completely devastates Sairaag. One thing is definitely for sure, impostor or not, this Rezo is extremely powerful!
TROUBLE! Rahanimu, The Furious Fish Man!: The creatures that are hunting the gang are starting to increase. The battles have begun to intensify and things are starting to get serious even without Rezo. Lina battles another Fish Man, though this one is not quite as lovable (or as tasty!) as Noonsa.
UPSET! Gourry Vs. Zangulus: Gourry versus Zangulus in an underground coliseum! The Sword of Light versus the Howling Blade! Between these two master swordsmen, all will be decided (well, not really!).
VICE! The One Who Was Left Behind: Searching for Rezo’s magical legacy, Lina and the gang meets a five foot tall talking chicken who claims to be a very powerful monster. They are, of course, not sure whether to believe him or eat him!
WARNING! Eris’ Wrath: The final battle for Rezo’s legacy begins. What powers does the piece of stone tablet that Rezo left behind hold and how will it help out our intrepid band of heroes? Whatever it is, Eris wants it and she wants it BAD!
X-DAY! The Demon Beast Is Reborn!: The Demon beast Zanifar is reborn and merges with Copy-Rezo. Now, the only thing that Copy-Rezo wants is a battle with Lina and for her to use the Giga Slave to prove once and for all that he has surpassed the original! Nothing else matters beyond that-not even the world!
YES! A Final Hope: The Bless Blade: With Lina dead, what hope can our remaining heroes have against Copy-Rezo who now seems to be immune to even the most powerful spells? Sylphiel seems to know of a way to defeat the demon beast Zanifar and navigates the underground maze of Sairaag to retrieve the sacred Bless Blade! The question now is will she be in time to help?
ZAP! Victory Is Always Mine!: Copy-Rezo and Zanifar’s weakness is finally discovered, but will knowing what his weakness is be enough to defeat him and the immense magical powers that are at Copy-Rezo’s Command?

Slayers Next (2nd Season)
The days of yore were filled with talks of courageous and virtuous heroes...this is not one of them. Let the forces of evil tremble in fear (along with the wealthy merchants and innocent bystanders)...The Slayers are back! Join the not-so-heroic adventures of Lina Inverse- the super-cute sorceress who steals from the rich and keeps it for herself! Along with her sword-swinging (but dumber than dirt) sidekick, Gourry, her hyper-enthusiastic protégé, Amelia, and the tormented and overly-serious golem, Zelgadis, there is nothing that Lina can't do!
(Adventure/Comedy/Fantasy)

Of all three series, this is the best one in my opinion. This series focuses more on the monster races' background, their structure and why they do what they do. It also has Xellos, one of my favorite characters, in it too which is always a plus in my book! And yeah, still just 90 bucks for all 26 episodes (compared to the usual 160 bucks) which is always great.

The Sudden Pinch! The Terror Of The Monster Zoemelgustar!: Lina and Gourry, while taking a vacation in the kingdom of Zouna to see the legendary book of Zouna, meet Amelia who is undertaking a mission from her father. The King of Zouna and his daughter are plotting to conquer the world and is building an army. In order to get them to stop their ambition, Amelia must first get past the court sorcerer- an extremely powerful an skilled sorcerer named Zelgadis.
The Roguish Priest! His Name Is Xellos!: Zelgadis is searching for the Claire Bible manuscripts, which has the knowledge to turn his body back to normal. Along the way, they meet an enigmatic and devious priest named Xellos who is also looking for the same thing. Xellos informs them that a copy of that is located in a bandit gang's hideout. Lina and the gang decide to "borrow" the Claire Bible manuscript that the bandit gang has. Of course, everything goes to hell the moment they try to execute their plan.
A Wonderful Business! Being A Bodyguard Isn’t Easy!: After an argument about where to eat lunch, Lina, Gourry, Amelia and Zelgadis split up. They are all scouted by the bodyguards of the local candidates. Lina and Gourry have been hired to be bodyguards for one of the two candidates for the leadership of Atlas City’s sorcerer’s guild. The other candidate, on the other hand decided to hire a pair of mercenaries-an evil mystic swordsman and a traveling sorceress named Zelgadis and Amelia.
An Ancient Pledge! One Who Seeks Immortality!: Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis and Amelia, trying to prove that their bosses were innocent so that they could get paid, face off against Halciform. There is only one problem though, Halciform has taken the pledge with a monster, making him immortal! To face him evenly, they must first discover the whereabouts of the pledge stone that holds the bond between him and Saygraam, the monster with which he made a pact with.
Staying Behind For The Sake Of Love!: Halciform's motivation for taking the pledge of immortality and why he has been doing immortality experiments are revealed when Lina and Gourry, while looking for the pledge stone, discover a woman trapped in a crystal coffin in the mansion's catacombs. Halciform and Saygraam catch up to them and all hope seems lost until Lina figures out just where exactly the pledge stone is!
You Can’t Escape! The Return Of The Obsessive Martina!: While relaxing in a hot springs resort with an all you can eat buffet, Lina finds herself cursed by the obsessive Martina. She finds out first hand the power of Martina’s curse and the fearsome effects and silliness it can bring. Only Martina can lift the curse and Lina must "convince" her to do so!
Sudden Cooking! Follow The Phantom Dragon!: Lina and company decides to stop by a restaurant that serves the legendary Dragon’s Cuisine-a feast that is said to give anyone who tastes it a slice of heaven. Unfortunately, it didn’t say on the menu that you have to catch the lake dragon yourself.
Be Eternal! The Day Prince Phil Died!: Amelia, with Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis and Xellos returns home to Seyruun only to find that Prince Phil is dead. The only thing left is for Prince Phil’s death to be avenged and to find out who the mysterious man in black sneaking around the palace is and if he has a connection to Prince Phil’s death.
Hidden Ambitions! The Shocking Confession?: Prince Alfred Summons Amelia and Lina to his estate where he reveals the culprit behind the scheme to assassinate Prince Phil. As Alfred confesses everything, a monster appears and attacks them. Lina and Amelia must now survive and enraged monster in the holiest city in the world.
On A Journey With A Pack Of Scoundrels?! Take Back That Magic Power!: Trying to recover her sealed powers, Lina goes on a journey searching for the legendary magical doctor Rumens who can undo any curses. Unfortunately, Rumens is not as the legends describe him to be.
Voices From The Darkness! Slash ‘Em To Bits, Ragna Blade!: Prince Phil, Gourry, Zelgadis, and Amelia have been trapped by Monsters in a different realm. A seal placed in the real world prevents Zelgadis from summoning a creature to break the seal. Lina arrives just in time to help them. It is now time to use Lina’s newly learned (although imperfect) spell-the Ragna Blade!
The Unexpected End? The Shocking Truth!: Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, and Amelia finally confront the two monsters responsible for all the turmoil and learn of an order for Lina’s death from Gaav, The Demon Dragon King himself and one of Shabranigdo’s 5 high ranking lieutenants. Lina is given a choice- join the monster race, or die!
Impending Fall! The Moment Of Ambition’s Defeat!: With Mazenda dead, Lina can finally fight back, but is she strong enough to defeat the powers of the monster Kanzel? Will her new spell, the Ragna Blade, be of any use to them?
The Forbidden Dance! Where Is The Strongest Spell?: Lina’s search to find the strongest defensive magic to use against Gaav has led her to an ancient ruins competing with twin sisters for the prize while being chased by gangsters and a monster. The spell she finds (and an interesting one at that) is not exactly what she had expected.
A Big Crash? The Battle At Artemay Tower!: A long, long time ago, a doll maker named Joe lived in the tower. Years upon years have passed and it would seem that he is still in there with his dolls bringing an unfortunate end to all those foolish enough to enter his domain. People like a certain group of travelers that we know.
A Bitter Curve Balls! Gutsy Fast Balls!: In order to win the Claire Bible, Lina must enter a Guts ball doubles tournament. On the opposition are Martina and her brand new partner. Guts ball works by amplifying the players will and using them against the opponents. With Xellos playing pranks on her and Martina royally pissing her off, the results are going to be like nothing that has ever happened in the entire history of Guts ball!
They’re Talking About A Girl Named Zelgadis?!: Circumstances force the gang to go into the Kingdom of Shrine Maidens which is forbidden to men. There is a powerful artifact there, but if Lina and the gang were to enter, they would all be quickly put to death. In order to get in, they dress up Gourry, Zelgadis, and Xellos as girls!
The Temple Of Sand! The Secret Of The Giga Slave!: Xellos has taken Lina and the gang to the Temple of Sands, the place where the complete manuscript of the Claire Bible is hidden. While trying to sift through the massive amounts of information, they meet Auntie Aqua, the caretaker. However, Auntie Aqua is not the only one waiting for them there. The Demon Dragon King Gaav, the one who loves war most, has finally made an appearance!
Disclosure At Last?! Xellos’ True Form!: No one is really who they claim to be. This applies even more to Xellos as Lina finds out who he truly is and how it is that he seemingly is strong enough to stand up to Gaav by himself. Well, he seems strong enough to stand up to Gaav. Ok...so he is not really strong enough to stand up to Gaav, but he does have powers that are beyond those possessed by any other monster beyond Shabranigdo's five lieutenants.
No Other Choice! Set Course For The Dragon Valley!: Lina and company follow Auntie Aqua’s final advice and set of for Dragon Valley, a valley filled with so much Gold and Black Dragons that the locals claims the skies glitter and shine. Lina is so very close to finding all her answers, but will Milgasia, the Golden Dragon in charge of protecting the Claire Bible allow her to borrow it? If not, will Xellos manage to convince him otherwise?
The Thousand Year Old Truth! The Traitorous Demon Dragon King!: Lina has finally come in contact with the Claire Bible and the immense knowledge that it holds. Now, she knows the full history of Gaav, the Demon Dragon King and why one of Shabranigdo’s five most trusted lieutenant would betray the monster race. She also learns the true nature of the Lord of Nightmares-The King of Darkness! Armed with this knowledge, she must now try and survive against the monstrous powers of Gaav!
The Stolen Sword Of Light! The End Of The Demon Dragon King!: Lord Gaav is dead and in his place stands Hellmaster Phibrizzo, another of the five lieutenant monsters of the Darklord Shabranigdo and the controller of life and death, ready and willing to finish what Gaav had started. With Gaav dead, he only has one objective left to accomplish- something that only Lina can do for him. To that end, he has taken Gourry in order to force Lina's hand.
A Menacing Swordsman! A Journey Of Reunion!: Lina and the gang meet Sylphiel on the way to Sairaag. They tell what has happened and she has joins their party. Suddenly, they are attacked by one of Phibrizzo's minions- a master swordsman with the ability to tap the Sword of Light's full powers. Will the sudden arrival of Zangulus (who still wants a rematch with Gourry) even out the score?
Sinister Trap! The Mysterious City Of Ghost!: Lina, Zelgadis, Amelia, Sylphiel, and Zangulus have entered the ghostly city of Sairaag. Sairaag that should be in ruins due to the power that Copy-Rezo unleashed and yet, it seems to be as if nothing has ever happened. They meet Sylphiel's father (who should be dead), and learns the shocking truth! Phibrizzo has resurrected the entire city and all the lost souls wandering there are now his loyal minions!
The Souls Of The Dead! Lina’s Final Decision!: The fate of the entire world hangs in the balance. Only Lina is left standing as Hell Master Phibrizzo reveals why he is the “Hell Master.” The controller of life and death has, with a snap of his fingers, taken everyone except Lina's lives. All alone, Lina must now decide which one is so much more important to her-Gourry’s life of the whole world!
Go To Next! And Then Again...: Lina finally casts the Giga Slave and Phibrizzo kills her at the instant when she has completed casting the spell hoping that it will go out of control and destroy the world. Instead, something strange happens-The Lord of Nightmare shows itself by possessing Lina's body! Against the powers of the Lord of Nightmares, Phibrizzo is no match and the world is saved. Now that it is over, Can Gourry, Amelia, Zelgadis, and Sylphiel manage to convince the Lord of Nightmare to return Lina back to them?

Slayers Try (3rd Season)
It was a time of Great Good. It was a time of Great Evil. But let's not dwell in the small stuff.... In search of fame, fortune, and foreign food, Lina Inverse sets sail on a collision course for the new world! What she finds there are vengeful enemies, a bunch of high-and-mighty dragon lords, and a new quest to save the world from destruction. What's a girl gotta do for a little vacation?
(Adventure/Comedy/Fantasy)

The third series and my second most favorite of the bunch. Slayers Try is a bit more serious with more elements of revenge and redemption mixed in with the usual healthy dose of comedy and action. No Sylphiel this time but we do get a new character-Filia, a young Golden Dragon priestess belonging to the Shrine of the Fire Dragon King. Yup, I treasure my copy of this as well.

Majestic? Hoist Sails For The Journey!: After the death of Hellmaster Phibrizzo at the hands of Lina Inverse, the barrier of the monster race has been broken- allowing the people in the continent that Lina lives in access to the rest of the world. Of course, Lina and Gourry aren’t at the farewell presentation of the delegations form various kingdoms for this, they’re there for a job. A girl named Fillia has offered them a job if they can pass her test of power-a test requiring them to face a golden dragon.
Doubtful? A Letter From Home!: With Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, and Amelia out to the sea in the only surviving ship, they decide to head out to the outside continents. Upon the first land contact, they come upon a town under attack by strange people. Nearly starved to death, nothing will stand in their way of finding food, not even an army of lizard men. The towns people are more than happy to reward them for their help. As they are fighting over the food, they spot a very familiar golden dragon and follow it only to find Fillia again. Fillia asks them to help her save the world from the prophecy of destruction and when Lina refuses, Fillia shows her something that convinces her otherwise- a letter from her big sister telling her to do it or else!
Where’d That Arrogant Guy Go?: With Fillia in tow, Lina and the others head up for their usual shenanigans. Lina and Gourry looking for desserts, Amelia on the top of the highest structure, and Zelgadis destroying everything in his path to get to ancient ruins. Of course, for some strange reason, people are reacting strangely at the magic they are using and people have mistaken Amelia as an angel and Zelgadis as a demon. Being mistaken as such, Fillia had to step in and “resolve” the situation. On the way out, Fillia feels the presence of a monster, an extremely powerful one at that. Lina catches a glimpse of someone familiar and follows him out to the desert where they are ambushed...
On The Move! He’s Out For Revenge?: Seeking out Xellos's trail, the gang finds themselves face to face with Valgaav, a follower of Gaav who blames them for Gaav's death and seeks to avenge his lord by killing Lina Inverse! Almost as powerful as Gaav himself, Valgaav takes on the Lina, Goury, Zelgadis and Amelia and is winning, until of course the timely intervention of Xellos.
A Wild Rumor? You Can’t Have Smoke Without Fire?: Valgaav comes back for round two and this time he has Ragud Mezegis, one of the five weapons light created from the powers of Darkstar with him to neutralize the threat of Gourry’s Gorum Nova, the sword of light!
Wandering Around? The Runaway Shrine Takes A Trip!: The gang with the unwitting help of Filia accidentally activates an ancient artifact. Unfortunately, the centuries of disuse have caused the artifact to run amuck destroying everything in its path!
A Peace Conference? This Is The Dragon Shrine?: Filia, with Lina and the gang in tow, finally arrives at the Fire Dragon King’s Temple with an explosive entrance.
Be Careful! The Plan Has Begun!:
Continuous Fire! The Wind-Swept Shore Of Battle!:
Ready For Exile! Isn’t Two People’s Love Eternal?:
The Hurdle’s Cleared? Jillas’s Hidden Power!:
Selfless And Senseless! Pursuit Through The Labyrinth!:
An Explosive Situation! The One Who Holds The Key!:
Striding And Swaggering! Lamentation Without End!: Valgaav now possesses both Gorum Nova and Ragud Mezegis and is about to summon Darkstar into the world, unless Lina can stop him.
Disaster And Danger? This Place Is A Wonder Island!: After the explosion at the gateway, Lina finds herself in a strange and fascinating wonderland. Nothing is at it seems though.
Pandemonium! Terror Of The Cursed Jar!: Lina, Zelgadis and Fillia’s search for Gourry and Amelia has taken them to the high seas. As their boat is about to capsize, a haunted ship appears and the captain offers them a job they just can’t refuses.
Immediate Results? Love Is In The Tiny Differences!: Gourry and Amelia ends up in a small village of Fish Men. There, Amelia and Gourry discover a forbidden love between a human and a Fish Girl. Amelia then decides to fight for the sake of love and bring the two lovers together!
The Right Person In The Right Place! Amelia In The Village Of Justice!: Amelia and Gourry, while looking for Lina and the others, end up in a village of heroes. Amelia decides to join them and help out the cause of justice by bringing the evil they have heard of coming from a distant land to its knees!
Three People, Three Ways! Where The Light Leads!: Lina and the others have any powerful enemy to face-Erologos, one of the Gods of the Overworld who has come to their world to seal Darkstar away. With Jillas on their tale, things don’t look too promising for our heroes.
A Hero’s Advent? For Whom Does The Young Girl Pray?: Lina and the gang ends up in a town that is mostly dead. There they meet a young girl who still believes that the town can still be saved especially since the hero of legend has finally appeared. Unfortunately, that hero turns out to be Sirius, one of Almayce’s allies, who came to that town searching for the fifth Darkstar weapon.
Savage And Unexplored! History Sealed Away!: The gang finally reaches the resting place of Galvayra, the final Darkstar weapon. It has been hidden away in an ancient temple. Here, Filia learns the terrible truths about the Golden Dragons and the demise of the Ancient Dragons.
Eternal Death, Final Farewell! A Cry To The Fallen!: The entire Golden Dragon army has been decimated by Erologos and Sirius. Xellos has stolen Galvayra from Lina the moment she broke the spell protecting it. Almayce, the only Overworld God who can be reasoned with has been removed from the battlefield. There is no time for grieving though, Lina and the rest must prevent Darkstar from going through the gateway and laying waste to their world.
No Time For Arguing! Head For The Showdown!: Lina and the gang makes their way through Valgaav’s cave and faces Jillas as an opponent for the very last time.
No Way To Guess! The Forbidden Gateway Is Open!: The Gateway is to badly damaged to be closed properly any more. To do so would only delay Darstar. There is no more choice but for the Gods, the Monsters and the Humans to join forces against the Darklord of the Overworld-the berserk demon of destruction-Darkstar!
He Who Emerges From The Darkstar!: Valgaav has seemingly returned from the dead and this time, he controls the powers of the Darklord Darkstar.
Try Again! When All Returns To White!: The prophecy of destruction is about to come true. Destruction at the hands of Darkstar or purification at the hands of Valgaav-the only thing that stands in the way is Lina Inverse.

Someday's Dreamer (Mahou Tsukai ni Taiseksu)
Set in a world where magic exist and people with magical abilities called magic get to work in fulfilling their client's wishes in accord to the government rules and regulations. Our young heroine is the daughter of a legendary mage who has recently arrived in Tokyo to begin her magical lessons. Along the way she makes friends and learns more about magic and the responsibilities one has when that person is a mage.
(Drama/Fantasy/Slice of Life)

It's good series. The intro song-I LIKE. It's so mellow that you almost forget all of your worries. It's also interesting how mages are registered under the government and all wishes that their magic fulfills requires them to follow a strict guideline. Not really a must see series, but if you have the time, do check it out.

Summer And The Steel Beam: First Half: Yume-chan has just arrived in Tokyo from a small village up north and when we first see her, she is trying to cross the road and when someone helps her out, she trips in the middle of the lane and an out of control car is about to run her over. Suddenly, that car (along with every other vehicle in the block) goes flying up in the air. Yes, Yume is a mage- a person gifted with the ability to use magic. It would seem that she is lost and needs to find her way to her instructor who is not exactly as she thought he would be. A young man sees her and decides to help her out and for his trouble, Yume decides to return the favor be using some magic on him-magic that he didn’t ask for nor does he want.

Unfortunately, there won't be any clear skies tonight so Yume must help her newfound friend fulfill his wishes along with those of his classmates and his teacher and create a perfect stargazing opportunity.
Rainbows And Champagne: Luna-chan has run away from home and Yume must help Luna-chan's mother look for her. Her mother pleads with Yume to use magic to find Luna-chan and Yume refuses telling her that it is best for a parent to find their missing child using their own powers and not to rely on magic or anyone else. They eventually find her without magic and Luna-chan and her mother begin communicating again and they get back on the road to understanding each other more and more.
I Want to be a Mage: Kera runs off when he hears of an accident in an orphanage and comes back really distraught. He starts acting funny afterwards and we learn that he is connected to the orphanage where three children nearly died. This is when Kera asks Yume how to become a mage. He has become obsessed by the idea to the point that he actually stole a mage's ring hoping that the ring would enable him to use magic. If he was a mage, then perhaps, he might be able to use magic to help people, but it's not as simple as just wanting to be a mage. Yume tells him that you have to be born a mage. In the hospital we learn of Kera's true motivation. He wants to save a young boy's life and at the very last moment, when that young boy is about to die, he manages to do just that!
A Mage That Couldn’t Become A Mage: Angela and Yume, under Oyamada-sensei’s guidance, work on a case that requires them to fix the broken windows of shops that another mage who was unlicensed to do so tried to fix previously. The trainee responsible for the incident confesses to the deed and Yume and Angela are able to speak to him. He lets out his reasons for wanting to become a mage and his uncertainty about his future-whether he will become a mage or not and whether he will get any better at using magic or not. This encounter forces Yume to start wondering what her life could be if she could not have become a mage and what else is she good for if not for the magic. He answer to her question of what a mage who cannot be a mage could actually do comes to her as several of her peers take her for a little celebration and she learns of several people who no longer use magic.
The Power Of Love: Angela has been acting weird as of late and she seems to be avoiding Inoue as well. Yume is worried that the two of them could never be friends since she is friends with both of them. Angela on the other hand tries to figure out what is wrong with her and why she has been acting so strange lately. Yume, still trying to figure out why Angela seems to not like Inoue, tries to talk to her over the phone when Angela passes out during their conversation about Inoue. Yume rushes over and decides that the best thing for Angela is to go to Tokyo Tower since that is what she wanted. She also invites Inoue as well to try to get him and Angela to get along together and be friends. Here, Angela realizes what is wrong with her. She realizes that the reason why she has been acting strangely around Inoue is that she has fallen in love with him without even realizing it.
Yume, The Girl And The Seed Of Summer: Angela has been acting weird as of late and she seems to be avoiding Inoue as well. Yume is worried that the two of them could never be friends since she is friends with both of them. Angela on the other hand tries to figure out what is wrong with her and why she has been acting so strange lately. Yume, still trying to figure out why Angela seems to not like Inoue, tries to talk to her over on the phone when Angela passes out during their conversation about Inoue.
The Direction Of Magic: The director erases Yume’s involvement with Angela warping the Tokyo Tower during the previous episode and in exchange he asks Oyamada-sensei to do something for him. Yume, on the other hand, was asked by Oyamada-sensei to hear out what the new client wants to use magic for while Kera insists that he come along. They go to the woman’s house to try to figure out where the client’s father disappeared to and why. While in the house, Yume sees a little girl running around that no one else seems to see. It forces her to think even more as to why she is the only one who can see her running around the house. As she is sitting outside on a sunny day, the ghostly girl appears before her again and begins talking to her then runs off. Yume chases after her and finds the client's father injured in an abandoned house.
A Broken Rainbow: Yume and Oyamada-sensei meet a new client who wants to turn the house back to the way it looked 50 years ago. She seemed really happy at first when Yume successfully completed the task, but then starts looking depressed before Yume and Oyamada-sensei even left. Yume, while saying goodbye to her, heard her whispering to herself that she shouldn’t have asked for the magic to change the house’s appearance. This incident causes Yume to try to visit the people that she has used magic for in the past and realized that her magic has not solved any of their problems for them. When she realized that magic could not solve all of their problems nor that it could make them happy, Yume starts thinking to herself whether magic is any good at all and begins doubting herself. The biggest shock to her occurs when the client whose house she had restored burned down and it would seem that one of the people living there actually set the fire themselves.
What’s Important To A Mage: Yume begins to realize that her fears are unfounded as she begins to talk to everyone she has used her magic for. She slowly begins to realize that magic isn't good nor evil, it is just a tool and can either be used properly or mishandled if used carelessly. As she has come to this realization, she has regained her confidence in her own abilities and prepares to perform her final test-perform a magic on her teacher that he will approve of. When the time came, she managed to come up with a suitable answer-by forcing him to come to same realization that she has had through visions of his lost love.

Yes you must own this, it's from Hayao Miyazaki! That's a guaranteed seal of quality when you see that it's from him. When Miyazaki is at the helm, you just know that every character in the film is going to be memorable, most scenes are going to be touching, and a few situations are going to be inspiring. Best of all, it's a film that the whole family will definitely enjoy-from the bratty kids to the cynical adults who don't care much for anime in the household.

Sprite: Between Two Worlds
Lately, shy Manami has been flirting outrageously and sparking vicious catfights! Afterwards, she remembers nothing. Can it be that another personality seethes beneath her own - a wild woman who'll do anything to find trouble?
(Comedy/Echi)

Sprite (Japanese title is Manami and Nami: Sprite) is labeled under Hentai, but I consider to be only echi since there is never actually ever any sex in there and when they're jerking off, you never actually get to see anything, so.... Also, there are only two episode in this series, but each episode are actually two linked episodes, so it's actually four episodes even though it is labeled as two episodes. Anyway, I think that it's interesting enough to see, but not over and over again, so my recommendation to y'all is to just rent this title.

1.0: Toru's mom has gotten herself into an accident and while she recovers, he is to live with a relative who lives in Tokyo. When he gets there, he finds that their only daughter, Manami, is a cute, shy girl with a killer body-exactly the type of girl that he likes. The two of them go to the same school along with Chiaki, a girl who has been dumped by her boyfriend, Masaya, because he's trying to bag Manami. She and her friends decides to jump Manami because of that and the fact the she now has "another" boyfriend that she's showing off, Toru tries to jump in and help out Manami. Toru manages to knock himself out, but not before witnessing shy demure Manami suddenly going violent and beating the crap out of Chiaki and her friends. After returning home, Toru finds out something that Manami or her parents doesn't know-that within Manami is Nami, Manami's split personality. Unlike Manami, Nami is carefree, outgoing, and much more assertive.
1.5: While living with Manami, Toru learns another discovery-that although Nami rarely comes out except when Manami gets herself into difficult situations, all he has to do is call out her name and Nami will come out! While at school, Manami and Toru's class' PE period is in the swimming pool and as uncomfortable as Manami is in the pool, she gets into a more uncomfortable situation when she returns to the locker room to discover that her underwear is gone. Going through the rest of the day minus underwear, Chiaki finds out and forces the panty thief to flip Manami's skirt while spreading rumor that she isn't wearing anything underneath. As gentle Manami is cornered, Toru manages to get there in time to summon Nami who saves the day while dispersing the rumor at the same time. Afterwards, it's payback time for Chiaki!
2.0: Pissed that Chiaki has been flirting around with Toru, Manami decides to go to a love hotel with Masaya, but something happened there that has never happened before! Manami woke up while Nami is in control. Heading back home, Nami confides in Toru and reveals that she can't seem to get Manami to come out anymore. When Nami laments that it might be better if she were to disappear so that Manami could be happier and Toru could spend all his time with Manami, Toru reveals that he likes them both equally. Hearing this, Nami decides to recreate the moment when Nami awoke while she was still in control and she and Toru begin fooling around with each other. When that failed to get a response from Manami, Nami decides that she would give their virginity to Toru which finally gets Manami to come out of hiding and the two of them finally meet and have a talk with each other. The next day, Toru finds Manami by herself. She is depressed to learn of another her sleeping within her. Toru then comforts her by promising to always watch over the two of them.
2.5: Manami has been depressed ever since finding out about Nami and hasn't been coming to school lately. When Chiaki corners Toru in the nurse's office and decides to play doctor, Toru finally remembers how Nami came to be. He and Manami used to play together when they were very little and they used to play doctor together as well. Toru would be the doctor and Manami would be Nami, the strong, brave patient. Even after all these years, Nami has been lying asleep within Manami all this time and his return to Manami's life has been awakening Nami more and more. Toru gets an idea that if they go back to Sendai where Toru lives and recreate those days again, Nami and Manami might merge personalities and the two of them rush of to Sendai. "Playing doctor," nothing really happens except that Nami just came out when it became to embarrassing for Manami and she just continued playing doctor with Toru. Afterwards, Toru reaffirms his promise to always watch over the two personalities to Manami as Manami finally accepts the Nami part of her.

As the eve when Little Monica has to depart from her host or risk killing her draws near, Kajo plans on finishing what he started years ago while Will and the others plan on stopping him. After a round of rowdy sex with Miss Meow, Will realizes that Kajo's weakness is music which is why he has banned music from the city. As Kajo is about to win, they are able to form a quartet and played their music. Upon being forced to hear music, Kajo returns to his original form - that of a rat. With Kajo gone and Little Monica restored to her former position, the city of Little Monica once again returns to its former glory. As Tina and Mei spend time with the mother they barely remember, Will and Celia realize their love for each other and consumates it!

Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie
M. Bison has an empire hidden within the shadow with the greatest street fighters as his agents and assassins. Ryu, being the world’s strongest fighter is sought out by both M. Bison so that he could be his slave and by Capt. Guile and Chun Li so that Bison won’t be able to get his hands on him.
(Action)

Yes, go ahead and get this one for your collection. The very first Street Fighter film released way back when Street Fighter was at the height of it's popularity and fighting games dominated the arcades (and I spent countless hours and token trying to get the Shen-Long code to work, which turned out to be an April's Fools joke from EGM that other magazines reprinted as a real code - bastitches!). The animation os of a high quality and the fighting is more grounded in reality (Chun-Li doesn't just plop upside down and does her spinning bird kick - she does it by walking on her hands while doing the spin kick). Every character in Street Fighter II gets some screen time, no matter how minor (including Akuma, whom we just see sitting in the background not doing a thing).

Suzuka
Yamato has left home to go to the high school of his choice and is going ot be living in the appartment complex run by his aunt and his cousin. On the why thee, he visits the school that he will be attending and happens to see a woman practicing the high jump. Instantly mesemrized, he soon learns that she is living next door to him in the appartment complex. From then on starts, Yamato's sometimes ordinary, sometimes bitter-sweet high school life begins
(Romantic/Sports Drama)

It's a pretty good sports anime that isn't all about the sport. It's more like a romantic drama with some sports elements thrown in to it. It's a bit like Maison Ikokku if Kyoko was a high jumper, bitchier than that sweet girl that she is, and the deceased husband she pines for was just a would be boyfriend. I didn't really think about watching this at all when I was told that this is about a sports drama since I tend to stay away from those kind of stories like the plague, but I think that this one is well worth the time I spent watching it. The only thing that I didn't like about this series is that Suzuka is a bitch. She is a certifiable complete bitch. She keeps using the memory of her dead could have been a boyfried guy as a crutch to run away from reality and the responsibility of being alive while inflicting pain and suffering to those around her. Quite frankly, I think she enjoys inflicting despair to those that are close to her. Other than that, it's great. Most note worthy is Yamato, the main character. A dude that can stand all that crap gets my respect, no questions asked.

Expecatations: On the way to the the appartment his aunt runs and where he will be staying during his time in high school, Yamato chances upon a girl practicing the high jump and is instantly stricken by her. In the appartment, he immediately starts work there by cleaning the bath house and runs into a couple of the people living there. He also discovers that the Suzuka girl he saw earlier is also living there and their first encounter ends up in a huge misunderstanding. Even worse, their second encounter ends up in him mistaking his room for his which is right next door. With Yuuka and Megumi, two college girls around, chances of misunderstandings increases. His chance for redemption comes along though, when he goes out to clean the bath house at the end of the day to find Suzuka passed out in the sauna and breaks the door down to get her out. The next day, Suzuka asks him to help her out in her morning practice. When she finishes the jump, she is surprised that Yamato set the bar incorrectly and she manages to break her own record without even thinking too much about it.
Smile: Beginning to adjust to his new surrounding, an old friend of his from the neighborhood, Yasunobu, shows up. He happens to be a friend that he dreads to see everytime he visits his aunt. A real playboy, he used to always get him into trouble because he keeps on dragging him along to peek in the women's side of the bath house. The next day, asked to do some shopping, Suzuka brings Yamato along to carry the groceries. Trying to show her all the good restaurants in town that he liked, he is surprised to find that almost all of them are gone now. The only place that isn't gone is a place by the shrine he always visits where he is recognized by the Miko working there. That night, Ayano, Yamato's aunt cooks up a feast to celebrate Yamato's getting into high school. With Yasunobu there to check out the women of the complex, they end up in a party in Yamato's room with Yuuka, Megumi and Yasunobu. Going out for snacks, Yasunobu proclaims to him that he just might go for Suzuka. When they meet Suzuka on her evening run, Yasunobu tried to go with her and Yamato puts a stop on that by accompanying her instead. Alone, he tries to do what Yasunobu said and praise her somehow.
Bedside Visit: The first day of school begins and Yamato only knows Suzuka and Yasunobu. Unbeknownst to him, another person knows who he is. Honoka, a shy girl, starts trying to get close to him and seeing them together annoyed Suzuka a bit. She is revealed to be the daughter of the shrine keeper that he goes to everytime he visits his aunt. She also seemed to have liked hi ever since they met years ago when Honoka broke the shrine bell playing with it and Yamato discovers her in the act and decides to keep her secret. Later on, waiting for Suzuka to go to the store and get sprots drink for her club, he declines Honoka's invitation to go out somewhere together and catches a cold in the proccess. The next day, his sickness isn't helped when Honoka comes over to nurse him and Yasunobu and Yuuka ends up eaitng everything that she has made for him. Later on, when Suzuka unwraps her microwave, she starts feeling guilty that Yamato got a cold and comes over with some food - all made with the microwave of course.
Spring Storm: During the PE when all of their abilities are being measured, Yamato impresses Suzuka by showing how badly average he is and way below almost everyone's standards in their high school that specializes in sports. When it came to the 50 meter run, he happens to beat the one person that should be unbeatable which somehow reminds Suzuka of a certain someone from her old school. Ever since then though, she begins to act strangely towards him to the point where she is starting to completely ignore him. One day, it began to rain and Yamato has forgotten to bring his umbrella along. Hoping to get Suzuka to share her umbrella with him, he wait for her to finish her club activity. He almost goes out with Honoka who came to share her umbrella with him, but ends up sharing it with Yasunobu. In the end, as Yamato is about to give up and leave, Suzuka shows up and share her umbrella with him.
Love Trouble: With Suzuka avoiding him even more now after they went home. Add to the fact that Yamato happens to spy Suzuka talking to a guy in the hall and overhears her agreeing to go out with im after school and he is pretty pissed off. He invites Yasunobu to go karaokeing with him after school and he invites Honoka to join them. When he gets pissed off at being reminded about what he saw earlier, and leaves Honoka and Yasunobu. Arriving home, he see Suzuka and that guy by the steps and is surprised that he happened to be someone that Suzuka knew when she was in middle school and he wants to recruit Yamato for the track team. Upon learning fromhim that he is just the type of person that Suzuka likes, he begins to think about what it means to be a couple and confessing to Suzuka. In the end, he is unable to do it.
Confession: When a newspaper saleswoman comes along with offer of two free tickets to the amusement park, Yamato jumps at the chance so that he can ask Suzuka out. Of course, while trying to figure a way to ask her without sounding unatural, Yuuka comes along and demolishes his hope by getting the tickets destroyed with the cat's help. Sulking about it outside, he runs itno Suzuka who also got the tickets from that same saleswoman and the two of them goes out to the park on Suzuka's day off from practice. There, they end up having fun despite the rain. When Yamato confesses to Suzuka, she first thought that it was a joke and when she realizes that it wasn't hs eflat out rejects him.
Decision: Having been rejected, Suzuka seems to be avoiding him even more now. Yuuka comes over cheer him up and tells her of her own repeated rejection from the same person. The next day, he decides to join the track team to get closer to Suzuka, but is quickly disuaded by both Suzuka and Yasunobu because they say that he is too much of a slacker and by Honoka becuase she doesn't want to lose him to Suzuka. Now, more than ever, he finds it harder and harder to talk to Suzuka. With Yasunobu in tow to make sure that he apologizes correctly to Suzuka, they head on to the track team where Suzuka is, but instead of apologizing, he instead asks to join the track team.
Distance: Yamato is now in the track team, but he is a bit surprised at how harsh the training is. Still, he refuses to quit after getting home sore all the time. Watching him go at it, Honoka starts getting a bit jealous at the amount of effort that he is putting to be with Suzuka. After an encounter with Yuuka, she finds out that Yamato got rejected by Suzuka. When Yamato walks her home that night, she decides to buy some croquettes and eat them with Yamato at the top steps of the shrine her family runs. There, she has decided to join the track team also. The next day, with new resolve to get closer to Yamato and never give up no matter what, Honoka is introduced as the new manager for the track team. At the same time that this is going on, Suzuka is starting to get a bit jealous and irritated watching Yamato interacting with Honoka and Miki, another member of the track team.
Photograph: Even though they are both on the track team, Suzuka still avoids and ignores him. When he places top on the placements for 100 meter dash and gets chosen as the representative for that event for the upcoming meet, he thought that he would at least get an acknowledgement from Suzuka, but gets the opposite result instead. On their day off from training, Suzuka heads back home for Yokohama. He overhears her talking to Miyamoto, the upperclassman from the track team who recruited him and Suzuka's upperclassman from middle school, about her seeing Kazuki. Wondering just who exactly Kazuki is in his room, he gets distracted when the cat wanders off outside. Following it into Suzuka's balcony, he gets a glimpse of a picture Suzuka has with the man he assumes to be Kazuki. Seeing this, Yamato decides to head off to Yokohama as well.
Love Rival: Going to Suzuka's house, Yamato meets Suzuka's older sister. She leads him off to where Suzuka is with Kazuki. Upon learning about Kazuki and how he resembles him a bit, Yamato goes home realizing that the only reason that Suzuka paid any attention to him at all was that he reminded her of Kazuki who died in an accident two years ago. At the same time, after her sister tells her to stop coming over Kazuki's grave and move forward, Suzuka begins to reminisce about the time she spent with Kazuki, who was the best sprinter in their town, competed on the national level, and is so much like Yamato. After finding out about Kazuki, Yamato decides to stop coming to practice. When Suzuka confronts him about him slacking off, the two of them get into an argument about her using him as a replacement for her dead boyfriend.
Showdown: Refusing to run for the track again, Yasunobu tricks him into coming to the national preliminaries where Arima, the number one in track pissed him off when he and his posse picked a fight with Suzuka. He challenges hiim without knowing who he is and is forced to run in the preliminaries. Placed in the same run with Arima, he lags behind him the entire time until Suzuka cheers him on and he picks up the pace forcing Arima to run seriously to keep him from getting the lead. At the last moment, though Yamato's legs gives up on him and never finshes the race because he tried to run at a pace he is not used to. Sulking to himself after loosing and getting pissed off again by Arima's atittude, Suzuka comes to him to help patch his knees up and tells him to show up again for practice.
Misunderstanding: Honoka knows that Yamato like Suzuka, but she is wondering why Suzuka cheered him on. Was it because he's in the same team or was it because of something else? She is getting a bit worried that something just might start between them and she would lose her chance with him. When he gets tickets to go to the pool, he tries to find a way to invite Suzuka along. While thinking about it, Honoka tells him that she has tickets to the pool and wants to go with him. Others ( Miki) hears about it and decides to tag along. Unfortunately for Honoka, Suzuka is coming along as well as Kobayakawa, a member of the track team who seem to like Honoka. At the pool, Yamato tries to find a way to spend some time with Suzuka while Honka tries to spend time with him. Afterwards, Honka walks home with Suzuka to ask if she likes Yamato because she wants to confess the feelings she's held for him since she first met him years ago. When Suzuka tells her that she doesn't like him, Yamato shows up at that moment and just shrugs it off.
Lips: Headed for the Inter-high tournament, Yamato is a bit depressed with what has happened. He is starting to lose confidence about his abilites with his loss, Suzuka's rejection, and everyone's high expectation of him. Cheering him up as he practiced by himself Honoka kisses him when she sees Suzuka coming by, tells him that she will always be by his side and then leaves. As he is watching the first set of events at the Inter-high, he keeps in thinking about his kiss with Honoka and wonders what she means by it. At the same time, he is starting to feel that Suzuka is starting to go farther than he could ever reach. He is also starting to thing about Honoka as well. At the send-off party for the seniors, Miki is sent by the captain to fetch Yamato and sees him and Honoka kissing by the pond, under the light of the moon.
Blessing: With her knowing what she knows, Miki is torn trying to decide whether to tell Suzuka about it. Finally telling her about it, Suzuka seems a bit disappointed. Alone, Honoka confesses to Yamato that she has always liked him from the very first time that she met him in the shrine and that she has secretly watched him everytime he went to the shrine. He is also the reason that she became the manager for the track team. As this is going on, Miki is a bit troubled that Yamato is now going out with Honoka and has given up on Suzuka. When Suzuka confronts Yamato about him going out with Honoka, she doesn't seem to care that the two of them are going out. With Miki though, she notices that there is something bugging her the whole time after finding out. Heading out to tokyo on the last train, they both got left behind when Suzuka gets off the train to help him pick up the juice that Yamato dropped trying to get in. Left behind, they have no way of leaving that night.
Bellflower: Left behind with nowhere to go and no money, Yamato decides to call home and ask his parents for some money and will stay the night while Suzuka stays at a business hotel. When his dad arrives, he brings Suzuka home with them as well instead of letting her stay at the business hotel by the station. While there, Yamato shows her the bridge where the fireflies gather that he's told her before and unintentionally tells her about the time he tried to confess to this girl that she liked in middle school at that same bridge. It was the worst timing in which none of the fireflies came out and it rained as well, destroying the mood, which is probably why he got turned down. Re-enacting the scene that he had planned that night, Suzuka seems to make fun of hiim by accepting that confession in place of that girl.
Impulse: Having arrived back after that adventure of theirs, Yamato strives to forget about Suzuka and concentrate on Honoka. While eating lunch with Yasunobu, Yasunobu begins to fill his head about doing all sorts of fun things with Honoka. That night, while trying to figure out a way to get Honoka to come over to his room so that they could have fun together, Honoka comes over to cook dinner for him since his aunt is out for the night. While playing house, Yamato tries to put the moves on her while trying to put Suzuka out of his mind. HIs actions scares Honoka and she runs out of his room and doesn't show up the next day during the track practice. After practice, Yamato heads for the shrine to apologize to Honoka. After having made up, he heads home to find Suzuka waiting in front of the door to her room.
Boyfriend: With Yamato going out with Honoka, Suzuka seems to be obsessing more and more about Yamato. Miki has also began to notice her acting strangely when it concerns Yamato. Going to a family restaurant, Honoka introduces her friend who happens to be Shirakawa Nana, a popular singer who happens to be Honoka's best friend. Headng out to a karaoke place, Nana recounts how she and Honoka first met and became friends. When Suzuka and Miki shows up, Suzuka sees Yamato alone with Nana and barges in thinking that he's already cheating on Nana. With the situation cleared up, they all share the same room and Nana notices the tension between Suzuka and Yamato. Afterwards, Nana has a talk with Yamato about being Honoka's boyfriend. Yalking to her, Yamato realizes how pathetic a boyfriend he really is to Honoka as Nana tells him to shape up and be someone worthy of a person like Honoka.
Present: With Honoka's birthday comming up, Yamato is in a fix to get her a present that she will like. When Honoka asks him to spend time with her that Saturday - the day before her birthday, Yamato gives out an excuse that he will be going out with Yasunobu. Asking around the complex about what a good present for Honoka would be, he ends up with Suzuka helping him pick out a present in Shinjuku. After going through a bunch of jewelry store, they end up buying one from a street vendor. When he comes over on her birthday to give the present, Yamato gets a sudden case of diarrhea of the mouth and begins talking about how he and Suzuka went through a lot of trouble to find a present that would suit her. Upon hearing that and seeing the happy expression on his face, Honoka got mad and returned the gift back to him and tells him that she cannot accept it.
Breakup: Under the shadow of the unpleasantness of the unwanted birthday present, Honoka has began to ignore Yamato and when he treis to talk to her and apologize, he refuses to talk to him and tells him that she just doesn't want to talk to him. Talking to his friends about it, He tries his best to patch things up. At teh same time that he is trying to call him, Honoka is talking to Nana about Yamato and her growing doubts about him. When Yamato decides to come to her place to talk to her, the two of them end up arguing again and then, they decide to break up once and for all. Coming home, he gets forced to tell all about it to Yuuka and Megumi. When Suzuka comes over after they both leave, h etells her that he was the one that dumped her because he couldn't stand her anymore. Suzuka leaves pissed off at him.
Support: With Honoka dumping him, Yamato is pretty depressed, he doesn't know just exactly how to act around Honoka or Suzuka. Now, he goes off with Yasunobu for support while he is stubbed by the rest of the track team for lossing their manager with only Kobayakawa being nice to him about it. At the same time, Honoka goes off to talk to Nana for support and she realizes that she has a lot to contribute to why they broke. It wasn't just because of Suzuka or Yamato still liking her somewhat, but also with her not trusting him enough. After her talk with Nana. Honoka decides to return to being the track team manager once more. After that practice Miki hears about the reason for the breakup from Suzuka and confronts Yamato about it and finds out the truth. In return, she takes him with her to eat at an onomiyaki place. Afterwards, she even cheers him on when he starts to talk to her about quiting the team after all that has happened.
Remorse: With the relay race coming up, all Yamato seems to be doing is screwing up the practice. With people getting mad at him, Miki decides to help him practice the baton pass after practice. Tlaking to him afterwards to see just exactly what is wrong, she finds out that he is still under the shadow created by Suzuka. Offering to talk to Suzuka about it, Yamato realizes that he has been doing things half way the whole time and decides to talk to Suzuka about it. Even still, after having talked to Suzuka about it, she still seems just as mad as before. When he goes out to do his laundry, Suzuka is there as well and although she is willing to talk to him now, she still appear to be mad at him. Later on that night, Miki calls him to see how things are and when Suzuka calls afterwards to tell him that she is not mad at him, which really got him pumped up for the race.
Mental Preparation: With the memory of Kazuki's shadow still looming over him, Yamato knows that there is no way that he will ever be able to compete with that. In which case, he has decided that the only way that he could ever beat Kazuki and replace him in Suzuka's heart is to completely demolish him by destroying his achivements by making sure that his own shines brighter. In the tournament, Yamato spots Arima in there again and gets even more motivated to be the best runner in the nation, Suzuka as well, begins to get an odd feeling, especially when Yamato beats Kazuki's best time. Having gotten the best time in the tournament, he still looks gloom when Suzuka congratulates him and finds out that Arima beat his new record by .18 seconds and tells Suzuka that being second best is meaningless and walks away from her.
Encouragement: Deciding to win against Arima, Yamato, with Miyamoto's help has decided to change his running style and practice on it until really dark everyday in the two weeks leading up to the metropolitan tournament. While he works himself to the bone, he never receives a of encouragement or even a kind word from the one person that he wants to hear it most - from Suzuka. While everyone cheers him on in his dedication to be the best there is in the nation, All Suzuka seems to do is ignore him and criticize him. Finally, after the team's practice while he is on his personal practice time, Suzuka comes over again and he gets pissed off at her attitude towards him and walks off. Finally, after realizing that she has made him mad by laughing at all the hard work that he puts into just for her and finally apologizes and encourages him. With that, Yamato is now ready to go to the metropolitan tournament.
Disappearing: With the metropolitan tournament on, Miyamoto and the captain allowed him to run the way he did during practice hoping that it will teach him a valuable lesson for the guture. Although his curve for the run is getting closer and closer to the ideal run curve, his time has gotten slower. He thinks too much about not accelerating too quickly and looses focus. While thinking about it like that, he not just did worse, but an entire second behind the first place. Later on, when Suzuka tries to cheer him up, he confesses once again that he likes her still and it just reminds her of the way that Kazuki was and how he confesed to her. She runs off and doesn't return. Worried where she might be, Yamato runs off to find her after calling Miki.
Loss: When Suzuka runs off, she ends up at the shrine where Honoka lives and remembers all about Kazuki there and how he confessed and told her to give her answer to him after he wins the nationals. Unfortunately, he never got to the nationals. Instead, he was run over by a truck on his way to the tournament and died on the spot. Ever since, Suzuka has been to afraid of making any commitment to anyone. She is so afraid of having happiness getting taken away from her that she cannot see the happiness that lies in fron of her anymore. When Honoka goes out to buy some things, she confronts Suzuka and all of her delusional woe is me crap. When Yamato shows up, Honoka tells him where to find Suzuka and gives up on the realization that she will never be first in his heart. Finding Suzuka, we are agaon put to all the crap about Suzuka claiming to be the only one in the world who ever suffers.
Cool Wind: After all that has happened, things finally start getting resolved a bit. With the realization that Yamato will never think of or love her more than the way he does for Suzuka, Honoka leaves the track team. At the same time, Suzuka realizes what a dumbass she has been all this time and invites Yamato to go visit Kazuki's grave with her for a final time. There, she finally lets go of the past which she uses as a crutch to keep herself miserable and thus, free of responsibilities by giving Kazuki the answer that he will never receives. In front of his gravestone, she tells himthat she will be unable to go out with him because there is someone else that she likes - Yamato. A new day soon begins with a new relationship and new, brighter outlook on life that exists.
