Last Train Out Of Jesus Town

Okay, so I decided to go in a completely different direction from where I had been. I at first just tried to paint Jesus snuggling with a dolphin, wearing scuba gear. Well, then I realized that I wasn't that good of a painter, so I decided that I'd do something very odd and strange using, well, odd and strange painting techniques. I took various pieces of newspaper (since that is a very porous and thin type of paper it soaked up washes of colors easily and didn't stick out too unobtrusively from the canvas) drew on them, and used paint to form a sort of veneer over the paper. After reading that monster of a sentence, I realized how far my sentence structuring skills have fallen. At any rate, I'd like to say that this is far from done. There's at least a 5x14 area left below the head, so something will be done with that. I'm not sure if the head will remain floating, maybe over a city, or if I will paint His body, maybe even throw in the dolphin.
