Taco Bell Escobar

Sorry for the lack of quality in this picture. I've said it before, I'll say it again, my digital camera is whack. This is acrylic on canvas. the lines in the background are controlled drips of a red wash. The hand is a rather nebulous thing, to me, it's the hand of God, reaching down. Not that I'm overly religious or anything like that. But I've had a fascination in using God in my artwork lately. (See: Last Train Out Of Jesus Town and it's completed version, Jesus Christ #9 which took an even worse picture, so I'm gonna have to figure another way to share that with y'all). I'm not sure if I mentioned it in the "Last Train..." page, but I want to portray God as grey. And I told a really good explanation for this thinking that I told to my friend Matt, but I really don't remember how it exactly went. This will be for sale at The Flying Pig Coffee House in the month of March.
