My Cedar chest makeover
I bought this cedar chest in a used furniture store for $40. Even though the paint treatment it had was nice, it did not go with my decor, so I decided to redo it completely. I took the paint off and to my surprise, the people who had painted it had not primed or sanded so the paint came off just by scraping. Big, huge pieces of paint would come off. It was a fairly easy job!!!
I then sanded, primed and basecoated the chest. It took me forever to decide what I wanted to do with it, what look I wanted to give it. I finally opted for a clean elegant simple look. So here are the results.
